  1. That's a great bargain for anyone who doesn't have it! Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  2. So, about 8 hours into my new character and the new storyline. Must admit that I'm liking it a lot. If I compare it to Fallout 4 for the nearest comparison then I'd highlight the graphics and general ambience. I found FO4 a bit flat but 76 does a really good job of bringing out the colours and its beautiful in places....albeit on an aging engine. There's much less constant attacks of enemies too, so you get a chance to breathe in the surroundings a lot more. Some of the trails I have taken have even given me Fallout 3 like sensations, which I didn't expect, but the NPCs and missions and interactions remind me more of New Vegas. The conversations are well written and the voice acting decent so far. Plenty of dialogue options. You have to eat and drink, which is an interesting mechanic as everything you eat, even the food you cook, give you rads...and you have to eat and drink regularly, so constantly building up those rads. I've already taken a perk to have less rads from food and drink, which I've never bothered with in previous games. I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm actually enjoying it. I believe there's still plenty of bugs but not encountered anything yet. Human players just ignore me and those that have approached have just said hi and moved on. Changing servers takes a few seconds if ever needed but nope, not a bother. I will play more.
  3. So, while the actual developer has droppped the ball, the modding community come to the rescue once again. The DayZ Expansion mod will have a lot of great features but the following is what I have been waiting for.
  4. Great fun this game is, totally agree 😀
  5. I think you need an alternative router. [emoji847] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  6. Part of my consideration is a desire to try out open back ear cups. The Astros are very comfortable but can get a bit too hot for my liking. But also what Greebs said, these 80 quid headphones and an astro mixamp are a good long term option. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  7. They're older gen Astros so it's a slightly different set up and all in one earcup. I've already ordered an Astro mix amp pro and will probably go with the sennheiser headset. The headset has been around a long time and has open back cups which is better for me anyway as my ears get hot quickly. I'll still use the Astros and tinker with them to see if I can fix them. Sound is ok for chatting, but just too low for sound whoring [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  8. Weird one, I have been looking at pc 360s but didn't think about mixamp Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  9. Have fun when you try looking for the files on your hard drive, then you'll find that windowsapp folder hides everything [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  10. I thi k the trick is not to move too far from spawn, to begin with at least, as death is a constant [emoji28] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  11. I reinstalled it recently, so yes, well up for a blast on this! Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  12. After 4 good years it looks like my Astros are starting to die. The volume wheel seems to be knackered as it wont adjust the sound above a particular level. They start to rise in volume then go back to silent. I'll probably open up that cup and see if re-seating the wheel does anything. Does @Diddumsor anyone else have any tips? What headsets are folk using these days? I may need to find some if I cant fix what I have.

  15. That internet bandwidth is a killer for a lot of folks even before you get to ideal specs unless you have fibre. 20mbs recommended and 50mbs for ideal...lol I fall somewhere inbetween recommended and ideal on hardware but can probably manage the ideal bandwidth as I get 70mbs Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah, the guy who sacked the Deadspin editor ended up resigning himself. I have no problem with journalists talking about politics, politics effects everything we do, there's political bias in everything written anywhere, intended ir not, but certainly there's a balance to be had and if you're paid to write about Sports then you should be writing about sports. In this case I understand that publication editors put up a post about how they were unhappy with the over the top adverts, which was removed at orders of G/O, which itself was against agreements made around editorial control. I don't read any of these publications since the advent of click bait and paid for reviews, so it's hard to judge, or give a fuck to be honest. [emoji846] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  17. G/O Media are the shit heads in this scenario. How they handled taking over, adding intrusive video ads into their sites, breaking agreement with editorial policy etc etc is a reason he's leaving. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  18. Pretty impressive stuff, they should do it for 7 Days to Die too....[emoji28] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  19. Crisis was a great game at the time, particularly for graphics lol. For me it was more than just looks but will see how it stands up nowadays. I still play Crisis 2 from time to time on Origin. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
  20. The government is giving out badges, will that do? [emoji16] The same government that cheered and applauded a couple of years ago when they voted to cap nurses salaries just above minimum wage. But I'm saving all that shit up for afterwards [emoji109] This guy and many more ordinary citizens are always the heroes that put our leaders to shame.[emoji173] Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

  22. So, much better than I expected. Much, much better. I've only played an hour and a half so take that with a pinch of salt. Combat and movement is fluid and enemies seem less bullet spongy than usual Fallout games. I'm going for a melee build too, which I've never done before in Fallout and I quite like it. The voice acting is well done. That's all I can say for now. I hope theyve now laid a better foundation to build on but I'm sure they'll find a way to fuck it up. It is weird though playing Fallout looking over your shoulder all the time for other human players. Too much DayZ means I'm always expecting some fucker to snipe me. 23. I should really get back on Fallout 4. I've played about 80 hours of it and have yet to start the main mission. I made it as far as the Emerald city and then got side-tracked by side quests. Plus all those constant requests for help, I'm unable to ignore them. So, if I reinstall it I need to buckle down and do the actual story. As it happens, just thinking about it now is giving me the itch, except I've started Fallout 76, which is better than I expected. So, we'll see. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
