I personally find Musk's changes to Twitter to be ones of good nature and intention. Limiting use to a reasonable standard of times to protect users from addiction and mental health issues, something other major tech companies and subscribers in these companies have forgotten. The Lawsuit seems to be of legitimate cause and from the outside it is obvious that Threads is a Copy and Paste job.

Musk is literally reducing functionality and limiting usage to protect its information and internal tech but at the end of the day Twitter will always be a loss making platform so he will never be able to recoup off his $40bn-ish acquisition through net revenue gains ever IMO. Now with direct competition from an established multi-platform social media company with an existing reach of over 3.5bn people, they really are in the shit and I don't even think legal settlements or licensing could possibly be agreed because of what's at stake.

So Meta aka Facebook will be launching their version of Twitter tomorrow and with the latter being in a complete shit show right now, it's a good time to do it. I don't think this will come close to dethroning Twitter and it is yet another risky venture by Cuckerberg, but if there is to be a chance to capture and shake up some of the market, now is the time to do it. Twitter is scrambling real bad right now with persistent poor decisions but I feel Threads looks just like an Instagram comment section so it's really had to assess. Grabbing people from existing Meta services and then having a clear functionality will be key in the basic sense but with all their services in the decline and haemorrhaging money in new projects, this is probably 13 years too late and a step back from their common ambitions.

Considering how much money they make on Fifa after the game release through FUT you would think they could lower the prices a bit ^_^ We really need a viable alternative to fifa these days, the game is fine but it does have it's flaws and the lack of competition just means that EA have gotten far too comfortable with things.

Devastated by this, Rob was one of the first people I started to game with around 15 years ago on mw2forum. The amount of cod we used to play was ridiculous. How on earth have we come full circle back round to an app that is essentially Facebook evolved when we all started to explore other apps when FB had some dubious questions over the years. Sod it, I never really did socials when I was younger, so lets get My Space back and go there.....OR.....lets just tell everyone FG, not FB, is the place to be for all the cool kids 😎

So I have refrained from posting up until this point, I am now about 18 hours in and generally I am quite enjoying the game - Story - It is seemingly up there as one of the best FF stories I think, there are questions to be answered to keep you going, the story moves at a nice pace and there are a couple of time jumps so you see the impact of some of the events that have occurred in the story. The story is more mature, there is enough blood and gore to keep you going! Visually it looks fantastic, it really does look next gen, there have been reports of PS5's struggling with some of it but I can't say I have had an issue. My only thought is that those who have had issues, have they been clearing out the fans and such regularly. I will save a few images throughout the course of the game and post them up on completion. It has a nice variety, different areas from desert to jungles, dark gritty dungeons and open green and bright landscapes. Sound - I am not really going to say anything on this one other than it is typical Final Fantasy, this is one aspect of the games they have never really gotten wrong I don't think and it's much the same here. Combat - This is the bit that concerned me on buying it, it's not to my taste i.e. turn based and I still do not understand the direction. Ironically it was intended to appeal more to Western audiences but it sounds like it has gone down quite well in Japan while more Western audiences have been more vocal in their complaints. My view is that Final Fantasy built itself on turn based combat, moving away to this devil may cry style is like Call of Duty going from a shooter to a turn based RPG, it's a whole gameplay style change and not necassarily one fans were calling for. That said I am enjoying it, I would say I am probably about 50% of the way through the game and I will get my money's worth which is always important!
