  1. This was one announced at the PlayStation Showcase. Hot damn, am I looking forward to this one. Looks like something any souls-like fan would dig. Hopefully, we'll get some more info about it in the coming months.

I despise the whole concept so I'll be staying clear of this thread 😅

    NFTs

For me personally it's not tangeable, I like a physical copy of something I can touch and feel, and see with my eyes. If I buy art I want to display it on the wall. I understand it's popular and trending these days. If you can make a return on it, fair play. It's a market that's too dicey for me.

  5. Btw, the thread title is a bit off 😉 Phantom Blade, not World 😄 (EDIT by @GazzaGarratt - Fixed, cheers @NCA-Paendrag)

    NFTs

Non-fungible Tokens are digital items that you own. Proof of ownership is stored on the Blockchain — digital database that is publicly accessible. This is the space if you have any NFTs or would like to discuss NFTs with other FGers.

  9. Did anyone think it was connected to Ghosts of Tsushima when it came out? I thought it looked pretty smooth and inviting. Is this a prequel to a game called Phantom Blade btw? I've never actually come across it before as usually old hack/slash titles weren't my thing.

  10. @Noct Ryan was raving about this last night, I didn't know whether you could share anything yet @MrBiron if you had played it yet?

  11. I picked this one up only due to someone in a review saying, "If you liked Mega Man X, you'll like this." And yea, I do. It's a beautiful game graphically and the gameplay is pretty tight too. It's a side-scrolling hack-and-slash action-adventure along the lines of the Mega Man X series or any Metroidvania for that matter. I never touched League of Legends, so a lot of the character references I don't get, but this one has been fun. There are some annoying little things like the time delay clone that follows you sometimes messes me up when platforming, but at least you can rewind time when you make a mistake here and there. Not a bad one and kind of on the cheap side. Worth checking out IMO. It's on PS5/Xbox/Steam and Switch.

  12. My all time favourite soundtrack from a retro game. The classic Toejam & Earl absolutely killer funky jammin! What's yours?

    NFTs

I understand, I used to think the same thing. But there are companies like Tokenframe which make plaques to display your NFT art IRL.

    NFTs

Overall I've mainly been focusing on buying what I find interesting and like the look of. Obviously it would be nice to make a small profit off any investments I've made but ultimately I'm not desperate to sell.

    NFTs

My next objective is to look into getting some NFT art, rather than just staying in the PFP realm. XCopy is something I like the look of, but I want to have more of a search first. There's plenty of awesome pieces out there.

    NFTs

I've recently picked up two NFTs, an IF (Invisible Friends) and a ROAR. Both of which weren't particularly expensive, but have made slight gains since I brought them. You can view my collection at jamesrandle.cb.id 👍

  20. For the whole game, my favorite has to be Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. The score in that one was just perfect for the game and really complimented the perfection that is SoTN. A close second would be The Messenger. Its catchy, mesh of 8-bit and 16-bit music really sticks in your head after a while, much like the classic NES games of old did. Honorable mention goes to the Octopath Traveler series too. Only because I'm currently playing the second one LOL!

  21. From EA Originals (so you know, brace yourself 😄) a new single player, FPS. The developers have made Dead Space remake though and that has had rave reviews, so it could be a potential hit and there is some vibrant gameplay on the trailer below. Out on July 20th 2023, I imagine on all platforms as its from EA. Thoughts everyone?

    Immortals of Aevum

I'm interested, but I agree with you @Luseth It's one of those games that has a big "WAIT AND SEE" sign right outside the construction zone. Looking pretty can only get a game so far if the gameplay sucks ass or doesn't hold your interest.

  23. TLOU final part Great to revisit this again to completion for the first time since the remaster back in 2014. I did have another crack a couple of times on the PS5 with that game but checked out after a couple of hours. Picked Part 1 up with a voucher on PC and so pleased I played it through again. Big step up in visuals which is impressive considering how good they looked a decade ago. Only other improvements are to the UI and animations but a lot of work clearly went into this to bring it in line with Part 2. Definitely recommend grabbing this and if you've played it on the PS3/4 previous then still worth playing through again if you can get it in the sale.

    Immortals of Aevum

I agree with that. So many well known developers do the same and its easy to fall in love with the early bright colours. It has to share some unique gameplay or mechanics to probably get me more interested nearer to release otherwise I share your not so positive outlook on the price later in the year.

  43. Great thread @IRaMPaGe . Some greats above. Here's some of my favourites so far. First one has to always be Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1. European Club Soccer have some incredible tunes. Especially made depending on who you or your opponents are. Here's the United Kingdom theme when playing a game. OMG, and how can I nearly forget the amazing intro to Ridge Racer Type 4 (R4). I was in awe how this looked when it first came out too.

  44. For me it's slightly more recent with the PS1 era of Final Fantasy, I often listen to the soundtracks whilst I am working (especially if it's an overly stressful or busy day) as most of it is quite relaxing 😄 Would love to see one of the orchestra events they put on every now and again.
