Totally agree with @Riff Machine about the immersion. The accents are jarring, yet when you play the radio in the car it's Russian language music. So stupid. I runs pretty well, I have all settings maxed and I'm getting 60fps, not bad for the old 1080ti. Too early to say much else, I've only played an hour. Melee is average, not a patch on something like Dying Light, so hope the gunplay is better.

This will piss alot of players off I'm guessing.

Thats good to know @James5497. Maybe we need a test evening to see how that works and for instance if someone is streaming already, who takes precedent as the main stream.

Capture Card is the way to go - I have an Elgato HD60 one which you can take anywhere rather than an internal one to put into your PC. You also need an HDMI Upscaler. How I would do it is: PS2 RCA Cable > HDMI Upscaler > Capture Card > PC (I think that's right). A HDMI Splitter may impact the performance of the picture and how the game plays if you add that in but I appreciate you could use that from the Capture Card to PC and TV if that works. We can have a few weekends where we both give the setup a go to see what works best. If you're recording that should be enough but I must admit the hardest part for me was to get my head around OBS for streaming. So many accidents can happen if you select the wrong input for picture, sound, etc. Probably helps you aren't in an online party as that's another thing that to consider depending on what voices you want to include.

I just had an epic run on Ashika Island trying to complete the Exposé mission to complete the mission you have to get some documents from an Al Mazrah dead drop and extract with them take them to Ashika Island and plant them on the desk at the top of the castle which just happens to be the same room the Bombmaker resides in. I've had quite a few close runs I can get all the way to the top but never quite clear out the top room. I had a failed run so went back to Al Mazrah to re-gear and get the docs from the dead drop at Zaya Observatory, spawn near sawah so I went for the Hospital and got some self revives and revive pistols, next I made for a vehicle and took a dash towards the train, I arrived there and it had not yet been looted I picked up a medium pack and a 2 plate and a gold bar, the passenger train was about to pass in the opposite direction this was also unlooted it had some medium packs and 2 plates but no large or 3 plates unfortunately but I did pickup another self revive. Next I found a vehicle and headed towards Zaya for the dead drop. there were a few tier 1 AI around it, so those got taken out and thier weapons dead dropped along with a couple of the self revives and the gold bar to get my insured weapons back. I took the documents and headed for exfil. I then decided that I would take in another run in Al Mazrah get another set of documents, Spawned in towards the south east nearby the river, I could have made a dash for the train but instead ran for the nearby hospital and boy was that the right decision the hospital had a couple of revives but amazingly had a 3 plate vest AND a large backpack! God Spawn and God Hospital! Amazing! So I headed for a nearby vehicle and made my way to Zaya, there was an exfil on the road maybe 50 metres from the dead drop so I drove past this triggered the exfil and drove on for the dead drop, looted the documents and headed back to the exfil which was now landing for me. Excellent what a run another set of documents and a 3 plate and large pack before hitting 21 minutes remaining in game! Next up lets give the Ashika Island mission another attempt. I've started squad filling on these attempts for two reason, firstly maybe the randos are good and will take the castle on with me, and secondly if I go down I can plea for help. I spawn in with a TAQ-56 AR Insured Weapon (same build as Stodeh), a Pila Launcher (this makes taking the wheelson a piece of cake) a Contraband Sakin MG38 in my pack for an extra 100 rounds should I completely run out and for equipment I took my usual Stims and Semtexes alongside the Revive Pistol. I did a little looting nearby found some goods to sell and another revive. The squad are also nearby I went to the buy sold the items being careful not to sell the mission documents as I did that on an attempt yesterday and felt very foolish then bought a munitions box as as many plates as I could afford whilst doing this an enemy squad have taken out my squadmates and looted thier tags. I use this to my advantage and make a beeline in the opposite direction and get as far away as possible. Sorry Squad but I had a mission to do and you guys went down so easily. Next onto the castle, followed my usual technique on the roof pila locked onto the wheelson, hack the wheelson and make a dash for the castle. I have discovered that the faster you can progress through the castle the fewer AI which will actually find you, I guess its using that Hive mind against them and as I don't have an Eddie Munson to distract them that'll have to do. so I'm at the last room, first riot shielder is on the steps as usual stick him with semtex and he is done. a few peaks and I've taken out the bombmake and other guards in the room, just the final riot shielder left I peaked and taken out the one trophy which is near him, no more semtex but found a frag nearby from an enemy drop, I threw the frag in thinking that the other trophy would stop it but fortunatly it didn't and I got the kill! ran into the room placed my documents excellent mission completed now what do I do with the weapons case I don't need to extract for the mission I've already completed that part so I think right I'll loiter up here until there is a few minutes left and make a beeline for an exfil. After waiting for a little while I heard shooting and footsteps, great a squad is coming for the weapons case, check the map and its the squad that I'm tracking with the dog tags of my long dead team. I think well theres no chance of me getting out of here I throw out an invite to join their squad and they surprisingly accept we then all make it out to the exfil together and all enjoy a weapons case extraction! Kinda funny that it went full circle with me narrowly avoiding this squad at the beginning of the game to taking the exfil with them. This is what makes DMZ such an incredible game mode. Sure you'll get good games, you'll also get bad games but every now and again you get an unforgettable Epic Pro Gamer Moment.

Yeah unfortunately there wasn't too much range and choice and what we had was mostly bulk of the same. People have just been clearing what we had and very quickly. I haven't seen any games or anything since last week. I was just incredibly lucky working there and asking someone who has access and knowledge of the secure bond, were theuused to be stored. I can't imagine anything else will comeback in as they have been slowly phasing the gaming section for quite some time now. I did ask the lad today when I was in if there was any other games through the back, but sadly he hadn't seen anything. Most of the stock we had was probably bought by greedy folk, buying multiples and relisting them on ebay or taking them to CeX and selling for purely profit. They probably whipped round all the Tesco's around and rinsed the stock. I would like to think some young kids got something decent. Maybe their parents don't have much money. I like to think about these things positively, in this sometimes grim world where everyone is looking to cash in on any opportunity.

and just like that I completed it today!! So excited the run was an interesting one so I'll post it up in the Pro Gamer runs thread, Oh and the top room with the bombmaker actually has two trophy systems. I've now got two missions to complete to unlock the story mission see below, As I don't really fancy camping the exfils from 80 metres away with the marksman LM-S (If I calculate correctly 3 shot down at that distance for a non armoured operator and maybe 7 shots for a 3 plated operator) I really don't fancy grinding that one out. so I think I'll wait for building 21 to be open. I've got 4 keycards so 4 attempts at the moment, however I fear that everyone is going to be rushing for these missions the moment it opens. I'm really enjoying the new missions some of them have been really really interesting and very fun. others not so much, drill charging riot shielders wasn't exactly fun considering that many times they can take 2 drill charges.

This game is on PS+ in March. Might be worth getting so the FG lot can team up.

I played it heavy for the first two weeks of their launch, but now play maybe one game every couple of weeks or if I am out somewhere board. It's a simple, nice card game.

Ok, right off the bat. Why does no one sound Russian?!?!? If the game is based in an alternate Russia, why the fuck does everyone sound American?? The intro sequence is a fucking slog. I legit wanted to shut the game off during it. This thing just drags this intro bit so damn slow, and It is just boring as hell. They try to fill it with some lore crap, but due to the aforementioned lack of anyone sounding like a Russian, I find that I don't care. This isn't off to a good start at all. *UPDATE* I did in fact shut it down after over 30 minutes of non-playing intro. I'll get into the ACTUAL gameplay tomorrow if @Rumelyladydoesn't go to wizard school.

I actually just came across this post saying that multiple people can stream to the same account. We will have to look into this as it could be a cool venture for FG 🤘

I’ve recently started playing this about a month ago and I’m hooked. I use to enjoy MTG many, many years ago. Always liked the turn based card games. I was wondering if anyone plays. Love to hear about deck builds and strategies.

@Tovehow did you manage the smuggling tunnels solo. The missions isn't that hard but I did you manage to get a second camera? They are in pretty short supply it seems

Looking into streaming/ recording some videos of Playstation 2 games. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on equipment I should look into purchasing? I'm completely new to this stuff. I have a capable laptop, playstation 2 and a decent monitor. Just need to know what else I need to get started. Thanks for any help in advance.

Its the one mobile game I've been looking at outside of Clash of Clans. I don't try and touch my mobile much as I use things like WhatsApp Web and spend most of day now in front of my PC. I'll take a look into it though as it reminds me when we as a family got heavily into a Transformers card game for Dax and that was immense, especially trying to get all the characters. Is there a feeling with this one that you have to find all the different characters over time?

I've been playing it on PS5 occasionally but now it's in a much better place I've also reinstalled on PC.

Starlink is a satellite internet constellation operated by SpaceX, providing satellite Internet access coverage to 50 countries. It also aims for global mobile phone service after 2023. Personally I think Starlink is the future of internet access and will be the only option in the near future for all Internet providers.

The title of this thread keeps making me think of David Bowie 😅 Reliance on satellites is probably not a good move. The Chinese have devices now they can deploy in space to grab them or push them into decaying orbits etc, as an example.

You say that but EV cars are taking over the market. I understand it's happening gradually, but that's what I expect from this as well. I'm not nailed on that it's a perfect replacement yet but it is a good step in connecting the entire world.

I don’t think we will tbh, it’ll be like EV cars. It’s expensive and the market is very limited. Most of us live in a town or city where we can get fttp. The only people I see buying starlink are people out in the sticks where there’s no signals etc. Im apart of a smart home community group too and they install in the region of 200k cinema builds into houses etc, most of them refuse to install starlink due to the limitations etc.

This sounds like something that'd be developed or is even already in the works. I think in terms of the bigger picture we'll be using satellite based internet in our homes in the next 10 years max.

We fitted starlink last month to a clients house. Although it has its uses it’s very limited. Wanna port forward or open a port for cctv or alarm connectivity? Nope it doesn’t let you…..

Tesco stopped at our nearest one recently @IRaMPaGe and it was one of the few reasons we've had the Tesco Credit Card over the years to get vouchers to spend on them. Shame they're stopping really. If you have more stock at your place left, give me a shout as I may be able to do something with some of them!

Not even sure I want to open Pandora's Box on this one, my backlog is pretty much everything I own which just not possible this year or years maybe. Whats stopping me go full hog into this just yet is my gaming setup. Its good, and i'm lucky to have what I have, but I need to overhaul it so its far easier to connect old consoles up to get more games on the go within seconds. I'm hoping this will be done nearer the holiday season this year fingers crossed. However, I pushed hard this at the start of this year to try more single player games. It won't be what I gravitate to because I want FG to flourish and grow for everyone's beenfit so Multiplayer will always win over most nights. BUT I did complete my first CoD campaign in years and now Hogwarts Legacy is getting minutes here and there every few days. I'd love to get a few PC games on the go, Valheim far more but maybe some more server games too. I need to make time for Tarkov and would love to get a large group here playing Sea of Thieves considering most of us have never touched the surface with all the longer quests in the game. Unlocked Crown tier 3 yesterday 6 more missions before I unlock that 3rd insured slot!

You can dead drop weapons (your own or enemies) to reduce your insured slot cooldown by 8 minutes per weapon

I’ve been stacking battle rage with a uav then popping the battle rage when appropriate, if you can get a streak it works really well and is extended with each kill. that’s the only real problem with dmz solo you have to be ready to die and lose all your kit, you can quite easily take out a squad if you get the drop on them but if a squad gets the drop on you then you are mostly stuffed. the good thing is that’s it’s reasonable easy to get kitted back up.

I don't have a massive backlog. I don't buy many unless I know I will play. When I do buy a game I play it to death until it's done or that. I have plenty monthly freebies stored, but don't often get time to play them.

Thanks @IRaMPaGe I'll take a look at some capture cards this weekend. I'm hoping it's not too difficult to set-up. I purchased a HDMI converter and a HDMI splitter so I can have both my PS4 and PS2 plugged into my monitor at the same time. However I seem to have green dots all over the screen now so it mustn't be plugged in properly somewhere. I have not clue on software but I'm sure I'll be able to do some editing free online somehow. I'll have to see.

You will need a capture card, anything before PS4 doesn't have the processing power. On PS4 you can stream through a PC without one. Most common and popular are Elgato, probably cheaper ones on the market. Not sure about TVs and monitors, I'm sure the PS2 doesn't like HDMI, maybe a converter cable if your running a newer TV. Possibly some sort of software program depending on if your editing videos at all. I'm not an expert and have little to no experience, but I'm sure you will need some of these things.

Reinforcements are crazy in this update, I cleared a stronghold for a mission yesterday, I intentionally picked a smaller one at the north of the quarry that I’m familiar with. It has a couple of riot shields and you can take many of them out through windows, but after it was cleared I was standing in the stronghold deciding my next move and just got swarmed by almost constant waves of tier 3 AI being dropped off from choppers, I had to make a dash out through a door on the opposite side of the stronghold in the end. changes to insured slots cooldowns are now 1,2 and 3 hours, the second slot unlocks at Tier 1 story mission of Black Mous, meaning you need to do Tier 2 on Legion and White Lotus then Tier 1 Black Mous, and third slot is available at any Tier 5 Story like before OR Tier 3 Story of Crown which is only for MW2 owners and unlocks at Tier 1 Story from Legion

You can now extract stronghold keycards from the DMZ to use in another deployment. I’ve also noticed that one of the new crown missions has a reward of the sattiq poppy farmer house I’m worried as I have PTSD from that mission in season 1 Ive also see new radiation zones in Al Mazrah at Rohan Oil and Saweh Village, I’ll bet the Saweh one is tough. I like how the missions are following the story from the season one missions and are very clearly set in the future from season 1

there is no way to guarantee it, you can try and cheese it by having two parties attempt to join a game at the same time, then once in the game someone types something into the match chat and see if you can see it, or compare the number in the lower left corner during loading this is a match session specific number.
