Sarah and I have been watching one of the streamers we sub to play it. I’ve never seen or read any of the HP stuff EVER, so I’ve no idea about most of it. As a game, it looks interesting and I may pick it up eventually. We’ll probably discuss it on the podcast this week. Adrian bought it and has been playing all day.

Just completed Gears of War after revisiting it for the first time in 16 or so years. Now started on the 2008 sequel. Hoping to get in Metal Gear Rising in a couple of weeks for its 10th year anniversary and somehow gotta find time to squeeze in Hogwarts Legacy if I pick it up this month!

My son is going to absolutely love this. Game looks as solid as the first one and thats a good thing.

Just been told on twitter it's £9 on Amazon and Argos of they have any.

Great news for the shareholders but that means nothing to the gamers. We hear it every year - ''X game has broken X records and exceeded expectations blah blah and continues to be enjoyed daily by X amount of players blah blah blah with a total of 358728953247592758 bullets being fired waffle waffle waffle we made more than last quarter blady blady blah'' Also of course there is an increase this quarter just gone - the last two were at the tail end of Vanguard on its last legs and when Warzone was fizzling out. The release quarter is always going to bring a huge spike and even corporates surely can work that basic trend out. The fact they've stopped releasing the concurrent active users per game is the most telling part. There probably is considerable panic behind the scenes with MW2 and its ongoing reception but the only way they are going to assure gamers of its true sustainability is by providing content and a clear forwarding roadmap. They can reassure the money men every 3 months that things are going well and will get even better but it's us gamers that deserve to know where the game stands. If games were measured on quarterly success then Diablo Immortal would've been the 3rd best game of 2022.

Well activision reported their earnings a couple of days ago. in it they report Monthly active users. Now there is no way to tell which activision game is being played, but the numbers indicate an increase for the quarter in which MW2 was released (as were many other games) Dec/2021 107M Mar/2022 100M Jun2022 94M Sep/2022 97M Dec/2022 111M So if I am them, I am not reaching for the panic button yet as number of monthly users has increased 18% from Jun. I guess we'll see when they announce the next quarter if that holds or not. Additionally they say Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II delivered the highest opening-quarter sell-through in franchise history At the end of the fourth quarter, cumulative hours played were the highest in franchise history for a premium title at this stage of its release. They do mention the Warzone has slowed down; "Year-over-year engagement growth in the free title has moderated following the launch"

Yes, I was fully aware of all that even as I posted 😄 I also use gamepass to decide if I fancy buying a game long term. For example I've held off buying Darktide after playing it via gamepass as it's not up to scratch. When it is, I'll pick it up, although most likely on Steam...but you get my drift.

I love how the site is now being used so people can track which streamer is playing the game so they can go watch, follow and even sub to them. Love it when a plan backfires🤣 It's quite a sensational turn of events really - an extremist feminist now being targeted by other extremists wanting to be what she is but is currently who she despises. I do think a lot of it is taken out of proportion especially when you have further clowns like Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe worsening the tensions online but the trans community really don't help themselves with their approach consisting of positioning themselves as the victim but also making outlandish threats. Really not the way to endear to others especially when they wont listen to others and are too busy trying to 'cancel' people who don't share their way of thinking. Yeah GK Rowling is not a friend of minorities, she's also one of those old school middle class feminists who think 99% of men are potential rapists. Can't stand her. But then i Iove the horror fiction of HP Lovecraft and he was a white suprememacist. Have they/them actually read what she said? I struggle to even really see how it is offensive…. But I digress. I’m excited to play it. Everyone been raving about it that I’ve seen so far. I’m avada kedavraing the shit out of everything I can 😂 edit- So after I typed this I saw a video about a website that will track streamers who play the game on stream so they can be labeled as transphobic and cancelled…. People have too much free time on their hands.

So whilst waiting for Hogwarts to come out I have sort of put my big games on the backburner as I don't want to get too deep into them only to stop halfway through as I know I will never return. What I have done is find this little gem on the PS subscription and I am currently playing chapter 2. So for anyone that does not know, Dragon Quest is a brilliant JRPG series (with it's last game being their best by far) and they have created a few spin offs recently. This one is essentially minecraft but with a bit of story and direction to it. The game is incredibly colourful and chirpy (despite the story being a little dark and drab) and the idea is that monsters took over years and years ago and now humanity is struggling to survive as they have all forgotten how to build, the ability was taken from them. Humans being social creatures that need to work together they are dwindling and there aren't many left. As you go through you learn recipes and plans, build little towns and bring people together all whilst working through a bigger story where I imagine down the road we will take on the final boss and kick his ass 😄 So for anyone after a small, quite relaxing game to play that has the elements of minecraft I would definately recommend this 🙂 There is also a second game which is multiplayer that I will look at playing at some point 😄

LMAO! That’s the final nail in the coffin for this game. They really expect to pass off an old beta map and then 3 cherrypicked locations from the battle royal map as ‘new’ content that will suffice, Christ. The new mode bloat will just spread thin an already depleting playerbase and those playlists won’t survive long-term either. They’ve made a mockery out of fans now but at least the reaction on social media has been absolutely damning, not that it will change anything. I wasn’t expecting much for the paid portion but this is taking the piss. Even Cold War will get more content than this I bet. What an absolute disgrace.

No weapons case progress isn't being reset I'll edited the list! Although I literally just 2 minutes ago extracted case 7 from Al Mazrah! I've had some interesting runs with the weapons case!

wonder if that means they are wiping the weapon case progress. Seems like not which means that the bioharzard skin is still within reach

No rush on weapons cases.

From what I've seen, the game does look very well made. HP was a cultural phenomenon worldwide so its no surprise its selling well. I'm trying not to buy games at full price but it's certainly tempting me.

Gears of War 2 - Xbox 360 (2008)

I've never seen or been interested in anything Harry Potter infact the social media stuff especially twitter is as much interest as I've shown and it's simply ridiculous but where social media is concerned that's nothing new. There was a streamer getting hate in the chat while playing thorough the game and believe he may have posted an apology 🤦 The only other thing I saw is how many content creators 😬 were whining about how they won't do a review as they didn't get a free copy.

Interesting to see the figures, I think most of those slumps and drops are because a lot of people didn't enjoy Vanguard. A new title is always going to bring another surge of players. A lot of people were hyped for MW2, also the beta for MW2 played really well imo. Thanks for sharing tho, is facisinating to see. 🙂

The only issues I have had with the camera is if there is a roof on a structure, you can't see your character then which is a pain in a couple of instances where you have to go inside somewhere with a roof and speak to someone (because you can't see either of you). The two games, there is a single player story mode, in the first game it is broken up into chapters and you have objectives in each. The second game is just more of the same but developed somewhat, the co op comes in two forms I think, the first is an open sandbox mode, the second is that you can invite people into your story world once you get to a certain point (but I think it is limited for them so they can't make or destroy what you have already built but I am not certain on that as I have only a brief forray into it so far). If you have ps plus premium it is on there for free (not sure if you do Lee).

Love the look at this and the idea it has more of a story has got my interest. Its only £12 at Game Collection right now. The second one is out already it says? Do you know what is different or is it just the same stuff with added Co-op play? One thing that I'm interested to know too - Does the 3rd person camera view work well or is it annoying? It may be because of the screenshot above that i'm only thinking this.

It is only 2 months. The first few months for any live Online game is to fix bugs post launch. That's the same with any system release so I can see why we haven't got anything since then. They shouldn't with many returning bits of content, but that is the way games work now, whether we like it or not. The reason for that is really gamers in a nutshell have changed habits - we gorge games and effectively overplay until we get literally burnt out and if we had all content we then would know that nothing is coming in 2 months and move on quicker than we do now. To dripfeed, timegate content when you think of it with those words feels painful and wrong. However, it is what keeps us coming back to the game so we don't burn out as quickly as we used to do years ago...that was when everyone would moan we would be getting nothing or maybe 1 update/DLC in the entire year (and probably have to pay for it). Back to Season 2, Infected and Gun Game is back in the game in a week's time which is awesome from an FG Private Match point of view. I'm super hoping they add One in the Chamber considering that worked really well in MW2019. It'll be interesting to see the tweaks they make to the UI as mentioned in the different threads we have going. I'm hoping the Groups functionality can expand a little more to at least connect the Clan Tag together as thats the most logical step to make. Weirdly somewhat intrigued for a new Season in CoD for the first time. Its nice to actually feel good about the franchise for a change.

Good point, I suppose its because I like to own the game anyway so if I ever go back to it I can (and clearly some collector disease is stuck within me too 😄). Once my gaming space has had a revamp its likely that it will have a specific place to be easily switched on more often. Until then, when the wife stops giving me a hard time about spending money (even though 3412% less than her) I'll keep this on the PSN wishlist.

Jumped on to sort my graphics and controls etc I'm at 1440p with a mix of mostly high and some medium settings. Found a decent server and tested it all out. FPS is over 100 and game runs smoothly. Good to go 👍

Sorry its late @TurboR56Mini but it was a very enjoyable read I must say. I think you certainly hit the ground running on the writing side. The pictures are done extremely well and compliment breaking down your trip nicely. You could even see here that you could mini-reviews that break down stuff even further, such as a car review, watch review and cities/states to review. Make sure you try and get another one done soon as its certainly something you seem passionate about through the words you used. ❤️

You know me, especially with a game with an offline mode makes total sense to have the physical version 😉 I do still have my Xbox One so I suppose its on that too. I just don't fancy another subscription to add to my list just yet!

I'm not getting dragged into the side stuff from a game perspective. In life, we can't ignore these topical issues and we have to appreciate other people will see the other sides which will be valid in certain individuals to whats been said cos we all should have a voice in this life - as the issue doesn't impact me personally, I see it as that will be for them to discuss and not myself on here. If anyone is against it all, not buying the game will be the best thing you can do. I have got it on pre-order so will sharing the game pros and cons on here for sure. I'm pretty sure about 99% of the population is going to do that at the start of the game! 🤣 The combat system looks extremely solid and quests are hopefully deep in content so they'll be enough for us to chew on me thinks. They've got over 20 spells haven't they? Be interesting to see when they unlock through the game and hopefully some of the best ones will be unlocked early doors to use throughout the content.

The trans community is really up in arms about this game, the other forum I visit they won't stop going on and personally I see the issues they have but just because someone buy's the game does not instantly make them an enemy. It seem's like they want to make enemies for themselves so it's them against the world type of thing which is a bit saft. The game is reviewing well and I am quite excited for it, finding it difficult to avoid some of the spoilers on social media though, I want to go into the game completely fresh and you have posts, videos etc saying this, that or the other or there is this easter egg if you go here and such. Social media is really crap. Anyway's, I am excited and I don't think the missus will be able to drag me away from the console when the game turns up 😄

How does it shape up against old arcade games like TOCA Race Driver, Ridge Racer and Need 4 Speed? It sounds similar to TOCA which was addictive as hell back in the day, even the career mode was fun to do. Its sitting at £17 on PS4 which I might take a chance on after that review @Riff Machine 👍

Good reviews coming in and currently 86 on Metacritic. Looks like it will live up to the huge interest it generated which is fantastic!

I’m waiting until Season 2 drops or at least until there is some official news before passing judgement but it’s not looking good for MWII at the moment Warzone 2.0 is getting all of the love. although I do have to say that I am actually OK with MP as it currently stands, sure I would like more maps, maybe a bit of a tweak to the UI but I’m still enjoying the game and don’t regret the purchase.

Can't blame them - the amount of work EA have allocated them is absolutely nuts. Pity every other EA studio is hot garbage. They are working on this, another couple of upcoming Star Wars titles and still supporting Apex Legends massively and trying to salvage Battlefield 2042. The first one was decent and this one should be equally good!

That looks cool as hell. I'm definitely getting this one as I've loved the movies but its great to see it has its own storyline topped up with great graphics....and that combat in the first video you shared James looks pretty sick, ngl. Lets hope these Quests have good depth to them too as on first looks they seem pretty solid.

Lots of very positive feedback so far - not sure if it's my cuppa tea as I'm not a Harry Potter fan but it looks like they've done a very good job. If it scores well then I very well may grab it regardless Some great environment and detail gameplay

Yah. Got two crates yesterday as well. Some kind wanted level up is weapon and we just started doing contracts casually and squad came up and announced they were friendly so we joined up. Wanted to do the weapons cases so we rolled with them. Went really well first time. The kid and I went in again and found another squad and did the same We were particularly lucky. The extraction was almost right next to the case so we didn't get anyone chasing us. His gun went up like crazy

20 slottable spells sounds good to me. I do think it looks like a cracking game and one of very few single player games i'll make time for next year.
