All ARs are platinum. That give me 39/51 guns platinum. The rest of the long shots should be easier.

So I've recently managed to get the SO-14 gold, thats all the battle Rifles gold. I did find using it in full auto with a 50 round mag and turning it into an LMG more successful and fun. Also got my first Marksman Rifles gold with the SPR and LMS. Got my first Pistol gold with the Desert Eagle . 50Gs. That is all for now.

I've played it a bit on PC, and I believe @TurboR56Mini and @RenFengge have been talking about playing it too. I love the Fallout games. I'll install it today on playstation to see what it's like on console. I agree @GazzaGarratt as its free we should be able to get a few of us on it, get it installed 🙂

I was looking forward to this as I love the apocalyptic style of games, however I do feel the zombie thing has been done to death now. Surely they could get a bit more creative with end of world / life scenario's. I won't be picking this up right away and can see it being one of those games that drops in price pretty quick so maybe will give it a go when it's a little cheaper. Besides with FO76 on PS I have been getting back into that which is providing my post apocalypse fix for the time being.

Zombie Division. Hard pass. I'm so done with the whole zombie genre.

Finally got round to picking this up it's basically siege turned up to 11 on the realism scale. Phil and I spent literally all night in one mission. It was hard. Could do with maybe one more person to make it a bit easier. I'm loving it though.

I have been on 🙂 Up to level 14 I think now, been pottering about with a couple of friends and it play's fairly well, loading time's aren't too great if you fast travel and such but I'm not sure if it installed on my internal storage or external. It's typical fallout but I am enjoying something that isn't quite so fast paced and hectic and running round just trying to shoot other people. Kinda pleasant!

It is quite tough with just two people but a lot of fun. Amazing to think it's an early access game. The gun play is superb.

I'll shoot zombies until the cows come home, and then some. I'll never tire of that. I like shooting shit. I find that fun. I don't like being in an army, or a government agent, or a cop and the way the world is, I end up having to be a character like that in many games we play. So zombies are fine by me 😅 But yeah I get scam vibes from this game...

SMG's are next I got the BAS-P Gold tonight I don't usually run SMGs as I struggle with the recoil on them but I'm finding you can create some sensible builds making them more manageable to my playstyle.

Just keeps getting worse and worse

Hello all, As some of you may know, I have run a modded Minecraft server for FG over the last few years. Modded Minecraft can be quite different to vanilla so to that end FTB, a modpack maker, made a pack called FTB Academy. The purpose of the pack is to provide an in game quest line with tips and instructions on how to use the included mods. This pack was originally released several years ago which we played but I noticed the other days there’s an updated version. So given several people have said during other conversations about wanting to join, I thought this would be a great opportunity for anyone that wants to try it to get involved, learn some mods and hopefully have some fun. So I’m posting this currently just to gauge interest and if there is, I shall switch the server over to FTB Academy and create an event to start the modpack on Sunday 1 February. So if you want to join what do you need? You’ll need an account for Minecraft Java edition (this is different to the Windows 10 or the version on consoles that is/was used for the realm) Your Minecraft username (this is different to your Gamertag, see FAQ below) which you’ll need to reply to this thread with, or PM it to me, so I can whitelist you on the server. You’ll need to download and install the FTB Launcher. Once installed, you’ll need to add the FTB Academy pack. Launch the game, go to the multiplayer tab and add the FG server. The name can be anything you want and the IP address is: 62.210.41.17:25414 (NB if you add the server at the moment, it will show an error due to the server running a different modpack) A quick video on installing the FTB App and installing the modpack. FAQ How do I find my Minecraft username? Your Minecraft username is used in game and in your Microsoft account settings. Go to www.Minecraft.net and navigate to your profile by using the dropdown box on the top right of your screen. Select the Minecraft:Java Edition dropdown box and click Profile Name to view your in-game username. What can I play this on? Unfortunately as modded Minecraft runs on Java edition it isn’t possible to play on consoles. As such, play is limited to PC’s only (Windows, Mac or Linux). What PC Specs do I need to play? Minecraft primarily relies on CPU and memory to run rather the GPU (graphics card). Almost any CPU made in the last 5 years, and honestly most in the last 10, combined with at least 8Gb of RAM (16Gb is preferable) should be able to run it. You can look up the specs of your PC but the easiest way to test it would be load it up and see if it works (Note: running around generating new areas of the world causes the game to lag no matter the spec of your PC). How do I check what my PC specs are? If you want to check your specs anyway, on Windows 10 click your start menu, then settings (cog icon), system and then on the bottom of the left column, click ‘About’. For Mac’s, click on Apple menu, then ‘System settings’, ‘general’ in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down.) Click about on the right and then click System report. For Linux, I don’t think anyone is using it but I don’t have a clue so www.google.co.uk is your friend. Can I play with shaders? Maybe. Shaders basically change the textures and lighting effects of Minecraft and can have a massive impact on how the game looks but also can have a massive difference to how well it runs too. However shaders can be funny when it comes to modded blocks so this is definitely a try it and find out as your mileage may vary. Personally, I stick to no shaders but that’s mostly because I’m too lazy to sort out shaders for each pack we play. What if I get stuck while playing FTB Academy? In the original version the in-game guide pretty much covered everything but I haven’t played this version of the pack so don’t know how thorough it is this time around. If you get stuck, Google is your friend as you can usually find the online wiki for the mod, a video explaining the mod or someone asking the same question (usually on reddit). I will also be around most of the time to hop on if and when as I think I’ve played through most, if not all, the mods in Academy before. What if there’s no interest in FTB Academy but I still want to play? The server has been running for several years now and will continue to do so while periodically changing modpacks. If there’s no interest in FTB Academy, I’ll switch the server over to a different modpack instead (modpack TBC) which you’re more than welcome to join. I think this covers everything but any questions or problems, let me know or post them here and I’ll do my best to answer them.

I really can't phathom why, it must be just over firing too quickly. Unless you have stacked attachments that have slowed your sprint to fire drastically, just since your hipfiring. A slow sprint to fire will mess up your shooting if your hipfiring. Not very likely that would be the cause.

There is a Hardcore, but it's called Tier 1. Although similar to Hardcore it's just not quite the same imo.

Also the 'game' has supposedly been moved to Unreal 5 yet the new 'gameplay' footage looks like The Division from Wish and about 8 years out of date. Also having to add in muzzle flash as a bought asset into your flagship trailer is one of the most desperately embarrassing things I've seen in a long time. We've had 1 screenshot, a questionable trailer and about 20 seconds of supposed gameplay in a year and the way this game is being developed and the devs own track record just stinks really.

Always go tight, helps with ADS and hipfire consistently. Only exception is if your playing Hardcore, wider pellets are usually better for more spread.

I realise that I never actually posted any of my own favourites from the years so here are a couple - Number 1 - The mega drive arcade stick, the first time I played a games console with an arcade stick and I picked another one up recently as I have no idea what happened to my original. It was great fun to play with and also led to many gaming sessions with my dad when I was little (I bet he won't remember though!) Number 2 - Xploder cheat cartridge for gameboy Being a big pokemon fan in my younger years, if you did not have friends or family that played pokemon then owning one or the other game there was no way to catch them all with GameFreak splitting them over 2 games. The cheat cartridge then really came into it's own, you could put this in with the game and load in any pokemon you wanted (including the legendaries). This meant that you could finally catch them all albeit with a bit of help on the side.

Update time 🙂 Matt continues to work on his castle is (currently) the biggest build in the little FG village. Though Mike has started outlining a build on top of the hill next door. I think he said with the intention of maybe joining it in to Matt's castle which would make it a pretty big build. While the house on the hill which, I think, was built by James and Lee has also gained an extension of a tower. Jordie has decided to move a bit closer than his first base so has moored his Dreamboat on the river at the foot of Mike's work in progress The storage room has finally got an outside too, I decided to go with something that leaves no doubt as to what the building is for 😄 And lastly we've also gained a villager trading hall next door to the storage Currently it has 8 prisoners...I mean volunteers in captivity, 4 farmers to trade crops for emeralds one each for wheat, beetroot, potatoes and carrots. Though they all do melons and pumpkins which is the easiest as they're both can be farmed automatically. I've done some trading so we're starting to build up a supply of emeralds in the storage room. The other 4 are enchanted books and the sign above their heads tells you what each sells. I've also traded with them and left a supply of each book in the chests above their heads. Each villager has been zombified and cured so should be offering most things at a rate of 1 emerald. If the figure is higher it's because they've been traded with recently and if you wait a day or 2 in game their prices should come back down. Currently have trades for; Mending (armour and tools get repaired as you gain XP) Impaling 4 (I think there's an impaling 5 but two impaling 4 books can be combined should anyone want this) Looting 3 (Gives you better / more loot when killing passive or hostile mobs) Aqua Affinity (goes on your helmet and allows you mine faster under water) Fire Protection 4 (exactly what it says on the tin, protects you from fire so you take less damage if you're set on fire. Best combined with Protection, Blast Protection and Projectile Protection but we don't have them yet) Infinity (goes on your bow and means you only need 1 arrow in your inventory to fire an infinite number of arrows) On the list still to get; Unbreaking 3 (tools and armour wear out slower) Efficiency 5 (tools mine quicker) Fortune 3 (get more drops when mining ores) Silk Touch (get the block you mine, stone won't turn in to cobblestone etc. and you can also mine glass and other breakable blocks) Sharpness (goes on sword or axe and increases damage) Protection (goes on your armour and does exactly what it says) Blast Protection (goes on your armour and does exactly what it says) Projective Protection (goes on your armour and also does what it says) Feather Falling (you can fall further without losing health or lose less health if you fall a long way) Respiration (Stay under water longer) Depth Strider (Move faster in water) Smite 5 (goes on your sword or axe and does extra damager to undead mobs; zombies, skeletons, drowned, wither skeletons and the wither boss) Knockback (goes on your sword and maybe your axe but knocks enemies back when you hit them - great for creepers as it can knock them out of exploding range) Fire Aspect (goes on your weapons and sets mobs on fire when you hit them) Flame (same as fire aspect above but for your bow) Power (goes on your bow and increases arrow damage) By my count that is 21 enchants so with 4 farmers, we will have 25 villagers. So while I think I've covered the important enchants, we have 7 slots spare if there's any you want that I have missed. Any spare slots at the end, I'll probably fill with tool/weapon smiths to save us always having use diamonds to make tools and weapons.

Ha! Sounds good. I haven't played Minecraft in a bit. I've been hooked on Elder Scrolls and League of Legends lately. I'm definitely due for some Minecraft. 👍 I've had my account for yeeeears, so I'm sure it's the old Java version. I hope I don't run into any issues trying to switch over!

I was chatting to Dave about it the other day but sadly no, we couldn't figure out what was wrong. There several threads about the same thing on the Windows help but none of them actually contain solutions, just lots of people moaning about the same issue. I did find a page that had a few steps to fix it (make sure windows is up to date, reset the store, verify computer etc.) and none of them worked. It doesn't make any sense to me that if Dave is logged in to his MS account in Windows, on the store and his PC is linked; why does it error saying no devices linked.

A quick Google suggests there are third party methods for have 2 discord accounts on one PC. However I've no experience with any of them to recommend any so this would be at your own risk and your mileage may vary. Given how easy it is to use Discord on a mobile device, the easiest way (and potentially safest) would be the PC user logs in on the PC and the PS4 user joins using a phone.

The server has been up for about a week already so we've made a start on setting up a base. We've set up on a Savanna plain for now and this is where you'll spawn in as a new player. Early game it's hard to have enough resources to set up big farms so we have a small crop farm, a small automatic melon and pumpkin farm as well as a kelp farm (which can be used as fuel in furnaces) We've also captured and started breeding some animals as needed the food as well as the wool for beds and leather for books. Matt has set up an automatically storage room for the most common items in the game. This just requires dumping everything in a single chest and it will get put in the correct chests. With more chests down the stairs and the potential for some bulk storage to be added in the future. The red and gold rails on the right hand side of the above picture, is a small furnace array. It's only made up of 8 furnaces but put your items in the top minecart and the fuel in the bottom, flick the lever and your items will get evenly distributed amongst the furnaces, smelted and returned to the bottom chest. Effectively this means smelting this 8x faster and great when you need to smelt hundreds of one item. We also have an afk'able mob farm just off shorte that was only finished last night. Mobs in MC give you several important things so it's useful to have an automatic way to harvest these drops. Due to lack of resources,the farm is quite small but ultimately will be 4x the size of what you see here. And of course, the drops from the mob farm are automatically sorted too 😄 Plenty more still to do but this is a good start 🙂

As one of my kids borrows my gta 5 disk guess they can return the favour with minecraft. If one is on pc the other on ps4 would they need to chat via a different device to use discord?

I genuinely can't see the difference. I've not heard what they are gonna do differently either. I could imagine based on teh shooting how an element of DayZ survival would work in this game...but where is the detail!! Unless this game was made to create more hype back around Division 2. I see so many games that are doing this and making more well established games shine even more because of half-assed versions coming out from nowhere.

Bluedrake did a video on it the other day and I watched a bit. Could be good but I agree the promotion is a bit ott and seems to be trying to attract the casual player maybe. I foresee a lot of griefing 🙂
