I would be up for playing this again, played a fair amount on the xbox and really enjoyed it 🙂

So first day back at work and I have next to nothing to do, I am playing around with my 3d modelling software, building a few more templates and the such but I am likely to have a lot of free time for the foreseeable whilst the higher ups try to win new work. The senior designer has asked about dropping down to 2 days, that will be an indicator then as to what they anticipate the next few months will bring. This thread isn't to discuss my workload though in that regard. What I am after are for some suggestions on some free software / apps that I can spend some time learning and playing with during my free time. I am not the sort to rest on my laurels and whilst I will be reading materials based around my job and the such it would also be good to learn or develop a new skill or 2. (I am likely going to have a look at Macca's thread after this one to see the suggestions around video editing). My ipad's in the process of upgrading but things I can play with on there would likely be my preferred but I can use my work desktop as well for anything more demanding. So yeah, does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure if many watched this kind of thing but he was on top gear back in the day but it seems he died in a snow mobile accident at 55.

When you are editing your weapon in gunsmith select the customise tab at the top then camo in the lower left, hover over each camo to see the stats, its the left 8 you are interested in, the first 4 are the base camos for the weapon, you complete these first to unlock the gold challenge for the weapon then you need a certain number of gold camos within the class to unlock platinum challenges, for example in ARs you need 8 at gold before you can do platinum, then you need 51 weapons at platinum before you can do polyatomic and finally you need 51 weapons at polyatomic to unlock orion. I got platinum on the m13b today and think it looks gorgeous especially on the health hazard build.

Ronaldo is washed up and needs to accept it. He's had a fantastic career and been very successful but his bevhaiour and desperation in recent months has really tainted his image. Turned into a very bad role model for younger players with his on and off-pitch antics plus his critical comments about playing in fringe leagues has really turned into huge hypocrisy now. If he cut his wages then he could've played in the CL guaranteed or remained in a high-profile league but not wanting to earn less than £600,000-odd a week as a basic wage limited his options and he's not up to the standard required for the CL as it is. Messi winning the world cup has also been a hammer blow to his reputation and a part of me thinks the move is just to lay low but as a lot of media sources are pointing out, it's very unsettling for his family.

Long shots on SMGs are seriously burning me out. Why the hell are they only 8 meters difference between them and most all other gun types.

I bought my first Megaman game for the Gamecube last year (yep 2022 😉) so its never ben on my radar from when i was a kid. The only Megaman person I know here so far is Chad @Riff Machine so I usually take my Megaman advice from him. The Collection sounds cool though, something to maybe dip into if there is enough good releases in there to warrant its price.

Not sure if this is a deliberate change but the spacing in the forum categories has increased on a few because the game subforums now show in list form rather than next each other. This means I have to scroll up and down longer and it hurts my middle finger which I need to swear at neighbours and cyclists with on a daily basis with.

I always wondered what could be done with some additional video editing time to my hands, not sure if you feel the same? So many clips we take and we could make so many awesome montages, but in the past its only ever been @Greboth and @tronic44 having the capability and time to do them based on their knowledge. I also think there could be some time invested in some graphic apps too. Especially the ones that make Vectors and other ones that make svgs. Inkscape is the one I'd want to get more of an understanding on as its 1, free, but 2, you can create some great things within it for lots of things out there. Last thought would be is there anything that your hobbies connect to at all that you can see something you want to creatively do in it? Might help narrow down some other apps perhaps.

Not sure if any of you played this on the GBA/ DS, I could never get into traditional mega man, I am not much for a side scroller but this spin off series I found really fun. It was pretty much an RPG with grid based combat and somewhat in the style of pokemon when it first game out. Well there is a collection due to come out next year and the date has finally been announced, having not played the 5th and 6th games I will likely be picking this up, does it take the fancy of anyone else here? I never tried any of the battle network games. I wanted to give them a try at one time, but I've always prefered my Mega Man games as the 2D side-scrollers I've enjoyed for years. I wasn't ibg on the Legends series either due to the clunky 3D, tank controls they implemented.

Xbox 360 is my favorite of all time; however, the XBOXONE controller is pretty awesome too. For nostalgia... the SNES controller has a special place in my heart.

How are you getting on with this @Macca89 ? It may help to understand what you're trying to specifically create and there may be other things out there. I have found Canva is ridiculously string at creating stuff, you just need your own idea on what you want to do but there are tons of templates - and the best part is that its free to use. It has a pro version that looks like it could give you more templates for videos and tope end stuff but if i'm honest i've never had the urge to use any of them as there's so much that its free.

For a console, the Xbox 360 controller was the best. The stick placement was weird coming from a PS2 but once you got past that, the ergonomics were perfect. So it was a downgrade moving to the PS4 but the DS5 is much nicer. For something different, the Valve index controllers are amazing too. With the capacitive hand grip and buttons being able to independently control characters fingers in VR is great. Being able to point a finger to press a button, opening your fingers and close them round the controller to pick stuff up is very natural and adds to the immersion.

Thanks for sharing @slamminbones . Jedi Fallen Order should be one for you all to pick up. My son had it and it was a very well made campaign. Good combat too. Funny how we've been talking about Fallout 76 as well recently. Add it to the library. You never know if we might get a server in the future.
