Season 1 road map

Not going to lie. The fact that Shipment and Shoot House are the first two maps they are bringing back is shitty. I’m assuming with the Reloaded update they may be doing some more classic maps4 points -
What an utterly shite load of content. 2 recycled maps and one of them is total rubbish (shipment). With all of the maps they could pick at from their back catalogue they go with these 2? Can't wait for Crash, Vacant and Scrapyard next 🙄 Why only 2 maps? We're already down on maps as Museum has been removed. As predicted they've actually put in the blog about how they've kindly added Hardcore and a combat record. Well done, guys. You've actually managed to put things into your game that should have been there at launch.3 points

Haven't played it. Doubt I ever will. I used to love playing CoD games online, but I guess I'm tired of rage inducing games. I'm happier bumbling around barren wastelands and casually shooting zombies. I'm not sure if the games got more annoying, or I just got old/boring, but I just can't stans the nonsense anymore.3 points -

Good: Weapons are good, maps are playable (except Taruq). The game feels fairly solid overall. Bad: The perk system isn't the best, an experiment gone wrong in my eyes. Not a fan. Ugly: The UI for sure, it's ugly in all sense of the word inside and out. It's a horrible creature. It deserves to be put down like a sick or dying animal out of it's misery.2 points -

Well I remember when COD had 4 DLCs in a season and you got 4 maps and a "redo". You had to pay about $100 for all the DLCs. So this still seems like a bit of an improvement to me. 1 year you pay for the game, 1 year you pay for the DLCs. I quite like the game so I rather that then them introducing a shit show like Vanguard where none of us are playing because the game is so bad but they had to introduce something every year to get revenue2 points -

I completely agree with that. The issue is that there are no numbers assigned to what they do. Only red and green bars. If it gave detailed stats where one does this more vs another it would be easier to choose. Where it looks like they do the same, they seem to feel different.2 points -

I hate the fact they brought shitment back again, it's not even a map tbh. If they wanted a small map for idiots to grind camos why not something like rust. I didn't really play mw19 but if I had I'd be pretty disappointed with those 2, it's pretty lazy with the vast amounts of maps to choose from. I also see combat record and hardcore are coming 🤣2 points -

I would say MW2, MWII and MW3 Blops where nicely designed games but always ran like shit for me. The connections were always awful for some reason. MW2 the first I played and my son was the one that wanted me to get it. I think he was 13 at the time. I remember telling him, what ever you do don't let your mom see that no russian mission or you'll never get to play a video game again Marathon, Lightweight, Commando with a magnum and tac Knife. Pure gold My best streak ever was doing that on Quarry with the predator, harrier , pavelow2 points -

Personally I like this system. Forces people to play other guns. Otherwise all we would see if M4/Hurricanes. You have to have challenges and you can manage with the attachments that are provided to you. If you want to use a certain gun, there are few things you won't get but it isn't game changing.2 points -

MW3 Blops2 W@W MW2 Cod4 At its core MW2 was a great game. Probably the best. Them never doing anything to OMA/danger close really hurt that game. If it wasn’t for that it would be #1. MW3 was when I started playing with people for here, well the old here but you get it. So that was my favorite mostly because of that2 points -

I only ran it with two attachments. The suppression that gives range and velocity and decreases ads time. The under grip that increases aiming stability. It doesn’t need any attachments. Glad I got it gold before it gets nerfed. Best gun in the game2 points -

Yeah it's complete bollocks really. Even COD mobile has extensive in-depth numbered data yet we've gone back to the plain bigger bar format. The attachments also don't provide any feedback as to their true impact especially when stacked and the firing range they have in-game is just a total waste of time for testing weapons. I've always said they included the damage dealt feature in the past without knowing why and the one time they remove it from the game is the only one where it's actually needed to compensate for the statistics they've removed. If I'm running 3 attachments that reduce my ADS time, I would like to know by how long. 0.1 second for each one is fine but if it was 0.5 then that would be a big issue even with just one.1 point -

If you look at the bars carefully you can see Green/red increase/decrease. So if attachments have the same +/- switch between the two and you will see where one has an advantage over an other. It seem like to more advantageous to more disadvantageous also. So for example higher recoil control will lead to lower ADS. If a gun lowers recoil by 6% over one that lowers 4% (as an example) it might have a 6% percent higher ADS as opposed to a 4% higher ADS. Its not exactly like that but you hopefully get the idea. the description will say -recoil and +ADS but as you point out it will not say how much1 point -

They are probably saving all those for the £70 Premium DLC next year. They already have many classic maps made because they are available in Warzone 2 but they'll either be paywalled or strategically released in the future. If they wanted to, they could easily give us 25 maps at launch but they don't wish to detract from Warzone and want to milk the few dedicated remaining deathmatch players left. The 2 new maps is just a kick in the teeth really - they could also easily port over some MW2019 maps too.1 point -

Season 1 road map
IRaMPaGe reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
Season one looks to be a bust. Two old maps brought back is simply not good enough especially as they are both gimmicky ones and similarly sized. Shipment has been redone almost as many times as Treyarch's Black Ops ones and Shoothouse is very Marmite and not as widely popular or iconic as they assume - it was just a marginally better map in a game riddled with mostly poor a very few 6v6 ones and that's about it. This would only really be acceptable if there were 3 brand new maps introduced and we still have no word about Museum returning or how the race track and hotel may still be removed. Two guns is also a pretty lame offering and I couldn't give a monkeys toss about operators. They are also being very quiet about Raids so I'm guessing they are gonna be some weak-ass Spec-ops type crap. Simply not good enough. DMZ was also met with quite a lot of criticism last night during the rather deflated event - seems to be their take on Battlefield's embarrassing Hazard Zone attempt and whilst this looks to have more variety, it's still a very threadbare mode where you are largely battling brainless bots and doing mundane tasks. This will probably fizzle out after a few weeks. Looks like Warzone will dominate as per usual and the core multiplayer will be shafted for a few months at least. It's nice to see challenges, Hardcore and all that coming in but that's really a bare minimum expectation.1 point -
No I didn't play mw2019 but I have heard how crap the challenges were. I personally do think it could be streamlined a little, I see no reason for so many attachments that do the same thing.1 point

Of all the maps they could have brought back from the MW series it’s these two. Shoot House is a great map. I really don’t want for Shipment to dominate like it did in MW2019. That’s where everyone was all the time. Hard to find regular games sometimes1 point -

Why can't they give us a new map and an old map in the first season is beyond me. Shipment is one of them maps you'll either have a great game or a game where it's just spawn die spawn die.1 point -

Shoot house I can tolerate. Shipment is getting old. It's not that hard to level up guns like you said. You really don't the to be playing shipment. Whatever. Still better than that fortress map with all the door and window campers1 point -

This guy is a complete idiot. Gary did you play MW2019? If so do you remember the weapon grind in that? Seventy fucking levels for a gun. Took weeks just to get a gun to max level let alone going for camos on guns if you didn’t play several hours a day. Even then the grind was stupid. Then the damn camo unlocks were horrible. Getting 100 long shots for ARs. The weapon leveling and camo grind is extremely easy in this game. Most guns only go to level 20. Think the highest I’ve seen was 24 maybe. What they did do is if you unlock a sight for say the M4 l, it’s unlocked for every gun that uses that sight. Same goes for every attachment in the game. Once it’s unlocked that’s it. No more having to unlock the same sight or laser or surppressor again and again. It’s a one and done. That’s a hell of a lot better than having to get every AR I like to a lever 60 to unlock the one sight I like. It’s made easier. Yes they are making people use guns they typically won’t use. On that I can say well I guess you don’t want to use that attachment. I can level up four or five guns in the time it took to do one in MW2019 or Cold War. For that I say thanks1 point -

Black Ops 3 was probably the one I remember the most for Multiplayer fun so i'm choosing that. It would be the Modern Warfare era if this was based off Campaign though. A truly great story explained through multiple games. I would argue now though that I don't think MW 2019 is really far off most of these older games for the fun side. We're showing even now that we can have a ton of fun and win the vast majority of games still. I think many pick the older era probably more fun for the shit talking between each team, which I don't really miss personally. I think its better now when you're in game chat now and you briefly hear them if you kill them which is far funnier and way less toxic/sweaty.1 point
