I received a letter yesterday saying I'm getting £2300 back from a loan overpayment (no idea how the fuck that even happens!). Which meant I did what any sensible person would do: spent a load of it on something I don't even need 😁 So I've bought an LG C2 OLED TV. With a £75 Ebay voucher I got one for £874 (I only got 42" as I sit a couple of feet from my TV). So pretty soon I'll be able to look down on all the peasants with TVs that are merely 60hz 🧐

This one confuses me also. They are trying to keep guns from being OP but with that they have made it where your gun is better without attachments. For the most part I fun at a max 3 attachments. One has zero negative effects then the other two counter acts each other.

Finally watched all quiet on the Western front. German dubbed English but we'll dubbed to the point of I barely noticed. Not too much dialogue to be fair but the way it was shot built up the horror or the suspense. It really showed the massive waste of human life in ww1 and the futility of it all but also the sheer bravery in the face of certain death. Long film but I was hooked from start to finish. The look on the main characters face after those final orders said it all.

Its the first CoD in...ever that I'm actually interested in levelling up and getting the Challenges done on all the guns in MW2 so I thought lets get a thread up so people can share when they've managed to get a Camo done - maybe also tell us if it was a decent gun, or an absolute grindfest to get it! Looking forward to seeing below what you all can get in this one 😎

I've thumbed them all up apart from Santa Sena and Taraq. They're all pretty playable 6v6 maps - nothing that will go down in COD folklore but it's much better than having 3 decent ones, 3 awful ones and 3 you never want to play ever. I maintain, whoever is responsible for the border crossing map should be jailed.

Excellent races last night. I used to hate Brands Hatch but I've found you just need to be brave in a few corners and all good. Kiwi was hobbled by yours truly at the first corner as i was too slow to react when he came across me, I say too slow to react, I tried but had a little tap from behind...😁 Sorry @JBR-Kiwi Lee was the source of his own downfall but for most the tyre wear had a big impact. Was surprised to see Kiwi pit, for example. Despite a couple of errors the mighty Greboth won the race and Nick and Tom getting closer all the time. As for @slamminbones we're all pretty convinced he spent the night with someone paying attention to his gear stick 😅 All post up the latest table over the weekend. Week off next week!

Yeah, it's completely killed the Gunsmith for me. The real fun about this aspect was building a fully-kitted gun and balancing the positive effects with the negative but here, if you have 3 or more attachments, you will be at a disadvantage in at least two areas - usually ADS time or recoil which are pretty key, unless you cancel them out and then it's basically the same as the gun being barebones by default. Without them providing the numbers either, it is also impossible to determine the true impact that these effects have. You can literally have a gun where ADS time is reduced 4 times which is likely crippling but it's silly that we don't know if it's 0.1 seconds or something like 0.5 seconds for each attachment. I've found one underbarrel which has no negatives and about 10 attachments on some guns which have exactly the same +/-. Even the blueprint builds must be catastrophically bad! There's just too much bloat and it's a headache trying to sift through trying to craft a gun even just choosing 2-3 attachments in the basic sense. The whole thing needs a rework really.

I’ve finished the M4,TAQ and the Kostov 762. Working on the Lachmann now. Running through the ARs while leveling the launchers at the same time. I’ll move to on to other guns depending on what the maps are since ARs are viable on every map.

If that’s the plan then they are dumb. A very large part of the CoD community enjoy doing challenges and going for camos. There’s no way in hell they intended for people not to use attachments especially since there are only 20 levels roughly per gun. It’s a good way not to make them OP like in MW 2019. I would rather all guns be strong than only a few.

I actually think thats a good thing. KC games where it swings either way just near the end are always the games we all as a team get hyped to try and get the last tag for the win. I find its 1 in every 5/6 games we probably get absolutely turned over, which i'm fine with. Its gonna happen from time to time. re the attachments thoughts @J4MES OX4D @TigerBurge @Luseth , maybe its a launch thing. For instance, make stock guns that everyone accesses pretty decent feeling so they get into the game and a later patch will rebalance the stock guns? I think thats a sound model how to get people engaged initially anyway. I'm finding the right scope is DEFINITELY making a difference. I also think having less attachments on should work too. It would annoy me if most guns would only work well with teh full 5 attachments on it. I'm sure theres some good combos people have found though as they've unlocked way more stuff.

I saw that, generally I run 2 or 3 attachments rather than trying to fully kit out the gun. I find a sight is important, I sometimes fiddle with the ammo but the grips and such I don't utilise so much because of all the added negatives. I'm enjoying the game more than I thought I would, I think my only issue and it tend's to be an issue with COD games is more often than not you get half a lobby fully of players ignoring the game modes and essentially playing TDM. Hardpoint and game modes like that you can see the seconds or captures a player does and you will usually see 4 or 5 with less than a couple of seconds or no captures, just baffles me that, why don't people go play TDM then? Or is it just because the quickplay has everything on by default?

I totally agree with all being said. Much rather play border crossing map than Taruq tho 100%. Taruq is worse than Picadily and Azhir Caves from MW19. 🤢

Until today, I haven't really paid any attention to the camo completionist part of the game - mostly because on PC, the interface has been partly busted and I've only just bothered to research the fix. I decided to pick up the M4 again after not using it for a many days and earned gold pretty comfortably Will probably work towards the VEL 46 tomorrow as I've not go far to go on that and then come back to finish off the M4 as well as try and unlock the Hurricane via the FCRAP RECON.

Really cool idea @GazzaGarratt. My favourite is Mercado Las Almas, followed by the racetrack one in 2nd place. Worst is Taruq, it's just shit, underwhelming and exposed. Horrible potential to be spawn trapped. Too many people camping windows in buildings. A disgrace of a map and also very boring. 2nd worst is Sena boarder crossing, but to be fair I'm enjoying it more than my first couple of matches on it. You just have to play a bit different and slower on it to achieve anything.

You guys are all a bunch of sweats!! @GazzaGarratt and @TigerBurge Nothing gold so far, been using the M4 and some of that first LMG the MG34. Just recently reached level 23 and unlocked the AK (Kostov). Man even without attachments that thing absolutely melts. Only played a few games with it, but it's strong.

Man you’re not running the TAQ right then. That thing is a monster. I liked it a lot more than the M4. Plus it has the best iron sights in the game.

Got the M4 Gold on Day one. Working on TAQ-56 (AR), VEL-46 (SMG) and SPR-208 (Battle Rifle). TAQ isn't the greatest but with the right scope its been working well. The VEL SMG absolutely wrecks on the closer quarters games. ADS is super quick on it and works well with the larger mag size.

I think it fits the large amount of casual players at launch, not saying I agree with it though overall as I want it to be interesting to try attachments to find a great loadout too. Just don't be surprised that if we see in the first balance patch that stock guns aren't as good as they were at launch. I must admit, it didn't stop me from doing the M4 Gold Camo after one day. Maybe cos the sheer amount of attachments this time round, means there are some good combos but we have to really look out for them and try different options until we find one thats better than the stock.

About half of COD players just go for kills. They know full well that they are playing an objective mode and what is required to win but most of the time they will only seek as many kills as possible even if the team loses heavily. I don't think this attitude will ever change - they've tried in the past to bolster objective XP and reduce kill XP but even then people will rather go 21-9 and 0 captures than 30-27, 7 captures, a win plus a fat load of XP on top.

I've finally overcome Covid-19 after testing positive on October 26th after falling ill the previous night. Today I tested negative which was a mighty relief as it was becoming more mentally exhausting than any persistent symptoms. I believe I caught it on the 22nd at the Oxford v Peterborough game but it was only until the Tuesday night after did I fall ill with an extreme headache, chronic fatigue and then body aches and pains along with a very sore throat. Hit me hard for a couple of days but then things were pretty mild but still rather unsettling. The most prominent symptom was actually sweating buckets in bed but I never really had a temperature or felt hot. I'm still suffering from coughing episodes now and then but it looks like I'm on the mend.

Agreed, Cavill has been great as Geralt. Such as shame as it’s such a good series of games (books can get a little stagnant) with some great characters to explore and they have nearly tanked it already.

The 2 Arsenal boys are unavailble unfortunately, Milner shouldn't even be considered for England anymore imo. You're right though, there's no width in this squad. Will be interested to see if he gives Andros Townsend a punt. I'd like to see Wilshere and Cleverley get a run of games in playing together. Defoe and Sturridge are on fire at the moment so wouldn't mind seeing them pair up with Rooney slotting just behind them, and Welbeck has great golascoring form for Engand. The defense should be good enough with the choices we have, I just hope Hodgson has the balls to put a team that should win these 2 games!

The way Macheda and Lindegaard are playing in the Championship I'd be tempted to bring them back!

What I don't understand is why Cleverley is barely getting any game time, I really rate him and for me he has the makings of another Paul Scholes. As for the Gooners, after the 1st day defeat againsth Villa everyone was writing them off and saying here we go again. I'm glad that they have turned things around because as a purist there are few better sights in football than watching Arsenal at full tilt. Tough call for this years PL title, no one team has stood out head and shoulders above the rest imo. I think the results in January and Feb will really show us who's got what it takes. They are, for me, the 2 hardest months in the calendar, that's where the big boys usually have to grind out results more than at any other time.

Personaly I think people are preparing themselves for dissapointment or failure against Ukraine, sort of already making excuses... Really there is no reason why they should cause England any trouble if you compared the teams play by player... As we all know England tend to make a meal out of anyone, but in still confident of victory, a comfortable victory at that...
