  3. Hello assorted FGers... Come December, we (wife, son, and I) will be traveling abroad again. The "dead time" between US Thanksgiving and Christmas is pretty cheap right now, and for under $1300 US in total the 3 of us can fly out of Chicago, do a stayover in London, then on to Lisbon, then back to Chicago. We're looking at 1-2 days on the ground in London/surrounding areas and 6-7 days on the ground in Portugal, unsure of exact plans for Lisbon the entirety or get to Porto or what. I understand it'll be cool to cold during the trip, but I have a week of vacation I need to burn or lose and the pricing is tough to say no to. I'd like to see Stonehenge while we're there. We've done the Big Ben/Tower of London/Big Eye thing on a stayover before, but our son was too little to remember anything. He's 17 now...fuck me time flies. Trip advise for either destination in December?

  4. The World Cup takes place late November until 18 December and if either Portugal or England are still in the competition when you arrive, which is very likely, you're in for a spectacle.

  5. Hi Doc, If the dates are manageable, I’d like to meet up for a drink in London and I’m sure some of the others would as well. Stonehenge is a day trip by train from London apparently…if they’re not on strike!

  6. Shit quality video to start with but from what I've seen, the game is basically the same as the last one. I'll have to watch a bit more later but being an old gen game that will last for 2 years is just holding this franchise back as usual. Campaign will probably look way better but the MP looks visually subpar. Still looks pretty solid mechanically and that will be interesting to see whether it follows the 2019 feel or something a bit looser like Cold War.

  7. Hi everyone Writing myself into an intro for people and the site, as I've been slack and not done it the last couple of months I've been around so what should I say................? Gaming Stuff My first gaming computer was a Commodore 64, so I'm old, I'll let you work out how much 🙂! Moved to NES and Super NES over time and then hit the PS route from PS2 onwards where I've stuck on PS since up to the currentl PS5, who knows what the PS6 will be (no controller as it'll be mentally installed?) Played too much over the years to list but will say that the Fallout titles from PS3 onwards where up there as my one of my favourites Fallout New Vegas in particular. Also a big fan of the Bioshock games For the last few years I have been a big Destiny fan and that's where my gaming focus and time has been since Taken King was released. I joined and it's been v good (except the shift from the best version of D1 to the new D2 which was dreadful initilly 😞 ) Joined clans pretty early on in D1 which was great and moved around a few before finding and joining Helheim clan and working my way through to being taken into the really good Valhalla clan Met Teenwolf and Zaxar there and played plenty with them for a couple of yrs and followng Valhalla effectively collapsing unfortunately I left and joined up here based on what Teen said about this place and people............positive I promsie 🙂 Non Gaming Stuff I'm based in the UK in Cheltenham, except for the mental Horse Racing week, I get the hell out! 🙂 Have to work (booo) but have worked in Project Delivery for digital deliveries for many years which has been a good area, I've enjoyed Ouside of gaming, I have a passion and involvement in tennis, country walks, good driving in the interestng areas (did NC500 a couple of years ago) and loved it Pubs and restauants with friends That's it I think, good to finally get it done and intro myself online Any questions, please shout All the best Bubblybrooko

  10. @Docwagon , if its December then @phil bottle is spot on so maybe finding a nice place where the England fans will be would be truly an experience! Also, you must go to the Harry Potter Studios which isn't far from London at all. An unbelievable day out and nowhere else quite like it. Maybe watch some films and then come to see it for the full effect and experience? Imo though, you should come around Noember 11th, specifically Wales. You know, so you can be with all the FGers meeting up for our biggest ever meet. 😎 But yeah, if you can't, I think @Plumbers Crack 's thought of catching is definitely worth mentioning when you've nailed down dates. 👍

  11. This is pretty a pretty significant moment for emulation as the original Red Dead Redemption posts a huge performance on the 360 Xenia Canary emulator - this was 720p and 30fps on the console. RPCS3 is struggling woefully in comparison with this build.

  12. Thats a great intro @Bubblybrooko !! Its been great to get to you know you abit more and I enjoyed our first raid together the other day too. I've tried to get into Fallout but I really struggle with that world, maybe because its a whole world of grinding i know i'd lose myself in! Have you played Fallout 76 much? Was thinking about back to that and creating some form of server if it felt like it had longevity in it. Please feel free to have a look around, not just the forum parts but videos, quizzes and whatnot and get involved where you can. Great have you here Bubbly and hope you enjoy your stay at FG 😎❤️

  14. Hey @phil bottle Yeah, already been lucky enough to jump into games with people. Some great c64 games listed, would have to add Bubble Bobble, original Street Fighter, Adidas Championship Football and Double Dragon!. Yeah just sold by my local newsagents, brilliant. Cheers

  16. Welcome Bubbly, there's a fair few who play Density here so you're in good company. Ah, the C64, Impossible Mission, Way of the Exploding Fists, Pitstop 2, Spy v Spy and a million more great games. Cheap as well, 1.99 for Kicksart 2, what a bargain 🤗 Hope you enjoy meeting all the FG miscreants 😉

  17. None of that shit. I got a £66 tax rebate so thought I'd buy this with it. I rarely buy games nowadays. I don't give a single shit about cosmetics. Literally a complete waste of money IMO.

    Kings Fall

After running through this latest "vaulted content" re-release tonight with some fellow FGers, I think I can safely say that the Destiny 2 version of this raid is vastly superior to its D1 counterpart for one reason... You actually damage Oryx with your own weapons!! No running around in circles!! Actual damage phases!!! Fucking hell, where was this 6 years ago, Bungie? With a few minor exceptions, the raid is basically the same save for the one big difference I listed. Warpriest is probably the hardest encounter throughout the whole thing. Good stuff, I'm looking forward to running more of these. Oh, and I got Touch of Malice. Bonus! 🤘😄

    Thoughts on emulation?

An element of it is just nostalgia as well, I have a much greater affinity with the games in my collection that I have had since I was little. I have Final Fantasy IX for example on a whole host of devices (I have probably bought it 5 or 6 times in addition to the original PS1 version) but I would happily sit there and connect up my PS1 and play through it on there over the other options every day of the week. Main reason my older consoles don't come out at the moment is because my daughter is a wrecking ball and would likely destroy them 😄
