Thoroughly enjoyed last night. @Plumbers Crack gave me a gun and @Greboth gave me a fire bat or whatever it's called so I actually managed to mash a few zeds and get a few skill points, which I've put in various basic things like stamina, recovery and buff duration from food. Yanno, the try to die less stuff. Made it to the base and just sorted the junk box a few times and put things where they belong. I'm going to see how to build a generator and make that my mission over Christmas week, and maybe start my own base like @tronic44 says. Good fun, just need to find my niche so to speak.

Heard it blows. Unfortunately. I’ll watch it tomorrow if I have time and report back.

Mixed reviews so far with some saying it's decent enough and others a total dumpster fire. There doesn't appear to be any that says it's a worthy sequel and most fans of the original have been mostly critical. Disappointed but kinda expected really. I've watched quite a few snippets and it does seem painfully Hollywood with stuff we have seen a million times over the the last two decades plus the action doesn't have the same unique style or impact that the original had back in the day. The action genre is saturated to hell and special effects have been pushed to all limits so this was always gonna have a tough job of standing out and doing something spectacular but it all looks rather uninspired. Two and a half hours long also apparently and large parts of the film focus on nostalgia but a lot of people say it just shows the huge disparity in quality between them. I'm expecting there will probably be another two films and then a TV series in the next 5 years before the brand is totally destroyed. Nothing will beat the original as it was way ahead of its time and had so many truly unique elements and an intriguing story.

Disappointed. No thanks for your mother bringing you into the world, your father for the initial...va-va-voom, the trainers for bringing you through the Academy to the first team, your teachers for keeping you on track at school, the rest of your family and friends and anyone else who knows you. No tears of joy..very poor (jk)

Most shareholders have probably never even been to the club they own to see a game. Also TV companies just want money and the best possible spectacle. It's also staggering how many teams have players out yet the governing bodies expect teams to play or be heavily penalised. I think the season will once again have to be suspended and sides that have been forced to play with barebones and lose will only suffer if they apply the stupid PPG thing they did last time. Teams can't continue playing or fielding their third string against clubs who haven't been hit as bad. Soon there will be nobody left to field as it spreads all over the pitch and with staff. I can't imagine how it is in the stands but I'm not returning until I have my booster and can better grasp what's going on. I don't know how this season can continue really.

The only thing holding me back is some behinds the scenes shenanigans around the reason its now live and also their publisher that worries me a little...but yeah I agree @GazzaGarratt you would want a few of us getting it and doing it properly.

This is absolutely fantastic as always, and seeing so many of the newer guarde getting these awards just goes to show what staying power we have as a community. Leigh has been nothing short of inspirational in his running of this place and should be commended as such, how that man has been able to tolerate all our (specifically mine) bullshit without turning in to a rabid alcoholic is beyond me, yet here he is dishing out all these fantastic awards to quite possibly the highest quality people on the face of the earth. A massive round of applause to all of you, and a massive thanks to Lee for all his hard work as well. Here's to 2022, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and an awesome new year. GGFG ❤️

Yep, I picked it up over the weekend but I've only done the training so far!

So my first idea for a base didn’t work 😞 turns out zombies can easily walk over steep slopes now so that ideas out. I haven’t tried the second idea out yet as I messed up something in my test world I think as I changed the time to horde night but nothing happened. I agree with you though @tronic44 I’ve been focusing on meat and veg stew as it’s all I’ve unlocked in masterchef. But as you said, good to build up a stock so everyone has some food on them so we aren’t all starving. Definitely need to diversify though, especially as some foods offer nice perks.

Nice thread. I don’t have the exact info in front of me but I’ve been levelling up grease monkey, can now make mini bikes and motor bikes. I think I might hold off making 4x4 for now and look into levelling up lucky looter or maybe something to make us good armour. Whilst I’m doing this I might start putting points into cardio, health and the food and water one (can’t remember what it’s called) I’ve also chucked a couple of points in food, so I can make some meat stews if others aren’t online. Theres so many sections that I want to put points on but never know what to choose. The one big difference in this Alpha is that I haven’t put anything into minor 69er, which is very noticeable when digging but I’ll try not to do that too often. At some point we need to discuss building a base, I think we should look into making horde night bases into different towns. This will be a base where we don’t rely on spikes to kill them…I know we’re a little far from that but good to think about it.
