  1. Yeah, I feel for anyone who paid for this. I tried out San Andreas on gamepass and laughed my arse off at how poor some of it is. They could have done so much with those games but they palmed it off for a quick buck.

I think Bloodborne is free on PS plus in the free classics section. Did you ever get around to Demon Souls? That would be my first port of call and I'll be buying it myself if it goes on sale ever.

  4. Agreed, does seem a bit marmite at this point. For me personally, it's the most fun I've had in a multiplayer for a while. Yeah there's tonnes of bugs with camos/challenges not tracking and a few OP guns (which no doubt will get nerfed) but in terms of play-ability and fun, I'm loving it. Just wish they'd go back to the classic prestige mode instead of this Fornite style seasonal shit.

  5. You can download and play Halo Infinite multiplayer Season 1 for free right now on Steam and Xbox. Although it's in beta still, I think it's available right through until its official release next month along with the campaign. There is currently some issues downloading on Xbox but the Steam version can be downloaded and played right now! Enjoy! 6. Could we be seeing a full feature length film on netflix by the gorillaz? Personally I love the style and aesthetic of the gorillaz and have my entire life. And enjoyed recent album song machine season one which features multiple animated tracks linking with the story. What's you opinion, will you be watching if released? And are you a fan of the gorillaz style and abstractness of music and cartoon? https://www.nme.com/news/music/damon-albarn-confirms-gorillaz-film-is-in-the-works-at-netflix-3094182

  7. It'll be interesting to watch it for sure @Lurch . I wasn't a fan of Gorillaz back in the day but that was just cos of the music. It probably hits the spot right now if they can make the characters have some personality to get behind.

    Elden Ring

Demon Souls was my first PS5 game and it is technically impressive although the combat lacks punch and I didn't like the gold/green hue that it sometimes used outside of the brick grey. Definitely worth trying though as it's a spectacularly smooth experience compared to other Souls games. I gave up waiting for a Bloodborne upgrade and just played it on my PS5 and although the framerate is nasty, it wasn't quite as dippy as playing it on PS4. Those minute sub-30 drops gave me some nauseating headaches but in the 25 hours I played it on PS5, it seemed marginally more bearable. Elden Ring is definitely a spiritual successor to Dark Souls 3 with some nice DS2 mechanics coming back plus with the game going for a BOTW landscape approach, it could work out really well. I was a bit iffy about it being open world as opposed to something semi-linear but it looks like they've done it just right.

  9. I could have done better last week, but I go all weak kneed when Kiwi comes sniffing. I went on Mediums first and was in 3rd place, a few seconds ahead of 4th when I pitted. My strategy worked when and by the time everyone else had pitted I was in 2nd behind Greebs for the remaining laps. Again, poor composure when I was close enough to pass. I also forgot to put on traction control a few times at the hairpins, which cost me time and penalty points, allowing Kiwi back in. Enough about me. Looking back at replays, you could do a season documentary on the battle for 1st between Greebs and Kiwi; the battle for 3rd between Lee, Mike and Oi; plus Paul and Crispy's journeys driving difficult cars😁 I'll post up the latest standings later this evening. There's only 3 league races left, so go get signed up for Thursday 👊

    Battlefield 2042 [BF6]

EA have a fuckload of shills which don't help - JackFrags, Westie and the usual posse skirting over any critical problems and almost laughing it off. There are stacks of fanboy apologists to who are now playing the 'every other Battelfield game has been broken at launch so what did you expect' card. So many of these content creators vids/streams are sponsored by EA or they are part of that nauseating Game Changer program. It's a sad state of affairs that people's standards and expectations have sunk so low in recent years and this ship now, patch later attitude along with live service bailout concept has bolstered this scandalous approach. There's even reviews literally stating 'apart from the dire lack of content, critical technical bugs and its clearly unfinished state, 2042 remains a remarkable game 8/10'🤣 Soon games will be sold as NFT's and people still still say they have great gameplay. I'm really disappointed about this because Vanguard was always a no and with very little games elsewhere, I was relying on this to be half decent but I don't think it's even that.

    Elden Ring

I played an hour or so of the Network Test and it definitely is the real deal. Considering they made Bloodborne, its not surprising where most of the stuff has come from in the game, but they've added that 'world' feel to it rather than a small and, in some places, linear feel that Bloodborne has. I can see it being super frustrating, annoying, head bangingly crucifying due to the type of game it is - but it already feels like its way worth the money for a full AAA PS5 game. I think a basic tutorial on how the game works with controls would help when its released but let's face it, if you don't touch games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne then I guess you won't touch this. I'm not sure how much story will come clear as thats the only part i'd say doesn't feel to make much sense at all. However, that kind of pushes you forward to explore places, like caves and take on mystical enemies lurking on the World Map to see if it gives you any more insight into the world you've been dropped in. Character choice too is way more than I expected too. I think after the game comes out, I think they'll be in depth guides on how each build works with different playstyles. I picked the Magic Knight one which means you have a Health and Magic bar to work with, similar to what Final Fantasy was like. Looks to be a really interesting multiplayer mechanic too and i'm hoping that means you can summon quite a large group of people to help defeat large swarms of enemies. Let's just hope it makes it easier to understand than Bloodborne's version of co-operatively play! All in all, if this isn't on your 2022 list, then have a word with yourself. And if you don't know much about how this will play through? Then plenty of time to go and buy Bloodborne right now - its only £13.50 on Amazon.

Can't believe people are defending this game. I've even come across people saying it's only a early launch and things wik change come the 19th and the old chestnut "I'm having fun and it works for me you must just suck"

    COD VANGUARD IMPRESSIONS

Vanguard is literally MW19 set in WW2, but with more maps and way more bugs. The game is definitely a bit ropey for the lack of a good description. It's not absolutely awful, but it definitely leaves the participant desiring more of something. Lot's of challenges not tracking or bugged. Some of the challenges just seem long and tedious for no reason. The killstreaks aren't very original. I feel because it's "WW2" it's like other options aren't possible for the timeframe. Seems rather convenient. The TTK is fast, feels like your playing hardcore sometimes when your not. Lots of "Broken" as in OP guns. More so with certain attachments. It's like nothing has been tested properly. Pump action shotgun with fire damage shells and barrels to increase range etc. Literally feels like you could hipfire 1 shot 30m away. Another shotgun you can akimbo. Then there is another shotgun you can move supersonic speed and it's a semi auto shotgun. Will post a link to a ridiculous video at the bottom so you can see what I mean. Now for a few positives, there is loads of guns and plenty of maps. Some maps I haven't even played yet. The multiplayer experience beats MW19 for sure, without a doubt. There is more action and the maps flow pretty well for the most part. Tactical Pacing is very interesting, you can increase the player amount effectively and make the game more intense with more people on smaller maps. Operators have an interesting quirk, each one has a favourite gun. Meaning if you use said gun it will level the gun faster and also your operator. I think this has been used in an older FPS it sounds like a familiar idea. All in all I only paid £20 for it on my PS4. (Had Game vouchers to use up). I would say I get enjoyment out of it, but the game could be better. If they sort out a lot of the bugs etc it could definitely be more fun. Gracey Auto Shotgun. 40 Second V2 Rocket On Core( Not Mine) 😂 This isn't hacking either it's legit, think his teammates avoid killing to let him go for it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5Nd4K4V8D1I

  19. Watched the new Netflix movie last night with Ryan Reynolds & the Rock called Red Notice. I liked it, but underwhelmed by it at the same time. It suffered from the same old trap that holly-weird tends to fall into with every movie they make these days. They try to overdo the comedy one liners, especially when Ryan Reynolds is delivering the line. Reynolds can be funny, there were many times he'd say something and I would laugh, but then (and I dunno if they let him ad-lib or what) but after getting a laugh with a line, he'll then say basically the same thing just in a whispering voice and changing the line just a tad. To me that just seems forced. Just deliver the funny line and move on, I hate when someone tries to beat a punchline to death. And I think Dwayne Johnson must have a CGI clause in his contract where every movie has to have X amount of CGI or he wont sign on 😆 His movies always seem to be filled with tons of CGI. And it's kind of a shame because while I don't like that he has started to become so political lately (I think actors should leave out politics) he actually isn't a bad actor, especially in a more serious role. If you look back at his early stuff like Walking Tall, he did a great job in that role. But these days they just have so much CGI and comedy bits in his films I think they are missing an opportunity there with him. So wasn't a bad movie, but I think if they would have made it more of a serious action drama and left out about 75% of the comedy stuff it probably would have came across as a much better film imo.

  20. Right been a while since I posted on here (have been watching more sport and tv series), but got back into watching a few films before work: No time to die (new bond flick): For me a good stand alone film not just bond film, good building of new characters, including remi maleks villain. Won’t say much more as to spoil the plot but worth a watch. Rock’n’rolla: Great film from Guy Richies back catalogue of british “gangster” films. Well written, great wit and good cast of characters. Just waiting on the promised sequel. Bloodshot: vin diesel action flick, classic one man army blowing everything up with an interesting concept but pretty underwhelming if I’m honest. Gunpowder Milkshake: honestly I’m in two minds whether I liked this or not. Saw many reviews that built this up as “Jane Wick” which is a little inaccurate, think more a mix of John wick and kill bill but with maybe a bit too much girl power/fuck the male establishment, which is a shame considering some of the cast in the flick. Again not a bad one time watch but you may feel like they missed a trick on what could have been a good film. monty python and the holy grail: because why the fuck wouldn’t you.
