This looks pretty good, and CCL are a decent shop too so I suspect their after sales will be good too. This is a good foundation which will provide a solid upgrade path. CCL Hyper Ryzen 3 1200, 16GB RAM, 240GB SSD, GTX 1650 Gaming PC WWW.EBAY.CO.UK New, Latest Spec Version! Now features an improved case design with USB 3.0 ports, front RGB LED strip and feature-rich MSI B450 chipset motherboard

Amazing Gaming PC with the latest AMD... You just need peripherals then, happy to help with those too 🙂

  2. Been so busy with my custom rod business working 10hrs in the shop per day I haven't had much time to do anything else. So finally set a side a few hours for myself this afternoon and got around to painting "Dobby" from Harry Potter that I printed last month. He's about 19" tall. Should look right at home in the theater room.

Hi Emma 🙂 Ideally at this sort of money, you're looking for a solid foundation upon which to build or upgrade in future - is your son likely to start looking to upgrade his own stuff in a few years (bearing in mind that I was building PCs from whatever bits I could find at the age of 13, and they were much harder to build almost 25 years ago!)? If so, then get a decent monitor (I always stand by this, there's no point spending mega money on a fancy PC if you end up looking at a poundland screen). As it's his first PC, I'd say go for 24", there are hundreds of good ones going cheap at this price. Keep in mind that PC gamers are absolute nerds of the highest order and will bore you to death with refresh rates, panel types, response times etc. He's unlikely to see the difference between a £100 monitor and a £1000 monitor at his age, but will still like all the "gamey" stuff they put on them, like fancy logos and stuff. Keyboard and mouse you can buy for as little as £20 for a cheapo set, and then buy him "gaming" models for his birthday or when he mows the lawn or whatever. As for the PC itself, as @phil bottle says you're buying in the middle of a gold rush, coupled with a worldwide pandemic and brexit. And no fucker wants to drive trucks anymore. That doesn't mean you won't find good deals, it just means you'll have to look harder, and manage your expectations. The games he plays and what he wants to do is screaming 1080p, but as he wants to do VR, you'll need a fairly chunky graphics card, I'd say a 3060ti at minimum (which is sort of the least I'd recommend anyway). How far can you push your budget realistically? I've had a quick look around and to get everything you're looking at around £1200, however this will be a decent system with tons of space for upgrades. It also includes a monitor, mouse, keyboard and headset. You could go as low as £800 but then you're heading in to "integrated graphics" territory, which won't serve his wants well unfortunately.

  4. I'd say about 6 hrs total. A lot of that was just laying down the base coat of white, then base coat of the flesh tones. I did the base coats by brush which always takes longer, then the fading and detail work with airbrush which goes a lot faster.

  6. You'll soon be able to play a slew of classic Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games on your Nintendo Switch via the platform's online subscription service, the company announced today during its most recent Nintendo Direct livestream. Nintendo revealed it will soon offer a new membership plan through Nintendo Online, through which you'll be able to play games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and Starfox 64. The service will allow up to four Switch owners to play games locally or online, the company said. Through the same membership plan, Nintendo also announced it will be adding Sega Genesis games to Nintendo Switch Online. Shown off during the trailer were games like Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, and Ecco the Dolphin. Nintendo 64 Games: Super Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 Star Fox 64 Yoshi's Story The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time WinBack: Covert Operations Mario Tennis Dr. Mario 64 Sin and Punishment Sega Genesis Games: Castlevania Bloodlines Contra: Hard Corps Dr. Robotnick's Mean Bean Machine Ecco The Dolphin Golden Axe Gunstar Heroes Musha Phantasy Star IV Ristar Shining Force Shinobi III Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Streets of Rage 2 Strider No specific release date was given, but Nintendo said it's coming in late October and will offer all base elements of the Nintendo Switch Online service. The company is referring to this plan as "Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack." Users on the existing plans will be able to still do so, though they can also change their membership plans if they so choose. No pricing was given, but Nintendo said that information, as well as an exact release date, will come soon.

@Diddumsthank you so so much! You’re an absolute star taking time to reply and in such detail, that is a huge help. Regarding the item you have pasted from eBay, what does that all include? I’m so sorry if I’m asking you to repeat yourself but the lingo just goes way over my head so I need someone to simplify it for me. So what does that package from eBay get me and what else do I need on top of that? Also another user had told me to check it’s compatibility to windows 10/11, does it state anywhere on this item about that? And sorry what are peripherals? It defo sounds like I need your help with that also!! Regarding the playing VR he has that for his PlayStation but would it be commonly used with a gaming Pc? ideally we didn’t want to have to go over £1000 as santa has to come to 2 other kids aswell lol, but at the same time I don’t eBay to throw money away on rubbish stuff when I could’ve got so much better for a couple of hundred pounds more.

@Emma McManus just gonna wait for one of the experts to arrive to help us understand more. I think the monitor is pretty small if you ask me. 24" minimum as eventually he'll want 2 screens on show. My spider sense is tingling though and thinking you can get a better ready made one from Scan or Overclockers. @Diddums @Greboth @phil bottle @Spacedeck @TurboR56Mini @RenFengge @BO7H B4RRELS if you don't think its a good deal, should we find a few links to some better packages on OCUK or Scan?

  12. I think its the nostalgia factor of having the actual system on show alongside playing some of the games rather than having all the games. There's millions of casual gamers that aren't bothered about having every game like hardcore gamers. For me, its great news that Sega is coming to Switch! Although somewhat im torn as I will always prioritise finding the original game and cartridge for the Mega Drive. Its about the whole playtime from getting the old controllers out, blowing the cartridge and playing on the original machine that gives it an edge over playing the Switch...having said that, when I go on holiday now I'll absolutely tap into some of these games as I recently did with Zelda via the Online offering.

  14. Harry Potter Collection. Only just started book 1, and I've already discovered names that aren't talked about in the movies. Even though we've watched the movies countless times over the years, and currently watching them every day at the moment. Yes, there's just some things you don't get bored off 😅. I've never read the books before and having an ereaders makes getting them now much more accessible when you don't have the room for physical copies.

  15. Its not often I'll say this, but this is a good thing. That game is our lord and saviour and needs to be remembered as such. Bringing it back will just ruin the memories.

  16. Myself, Kiwi and Leigh were together the first 5 laps and everytime we got to that high speed chicane I had to go off track to avoid hitting one of them and crashing us all out. In 20 laps of practice did not pick up a single penalty 🙃😅

  18. So just received this awesome present from the FGFGF and i am lost for words!! I am loving being a member of the FG after being introduced by @G_dub52 , and have got to know some of the guys like @GazzaGarratt, @jordie1892 , @Macca89 , @Lurch and @tronic44 among many others through Monday night Fifa, and have even managed to have a little Cov meetup with a few of the lads which was an awesome night. I really enjoy the banter we all have together and all the different discussions that go on here, and the fact that we all have each others backs for anything is truly awesome. Thank you again guys for this awesome gift and i'm looking forward to many for awesome FG nights and meetups in the future. GGs peeps!!!

    FG League - Season 3

Really good race last night! Like I said during the race, I was surprised just how far I could take that 86 on the softs, going well past the halfway lap count and it still being fine. I was in two minds about attempting to go the full hog on one set but with it really starting to push out on some corners, decided against it. I don't think i would have caught back up to @GazzaGarratt and @phil bottle otherwise. Thankfully, I didn't need to take on extra fuel at all, despite hammering the redline like it owed me money, so the pitstop was as short as it could be. Still flummoxed as to how you two were getting so many penalties because I was absolutely caning it through those fast esses and properly chancing it some laps (especially when I had worn tyres) and never got anything. I wonder if it was something to do with proximity to other competitors ('Is this player trying to gain an advantage on the other' kinda thing) And of course, Kiwi being Kiwi, I don't think I saw him at all in the entire race 😂

On a 9/11 theme, Worth is not a bad film, maybe a little slow but stars Micheal Keaton and is based on the true story of the victims compensation fund after well 9/11

Free Guy. This film is a love letter to gamers. It's the first gaming related film which has punted Ready: Player One off its perch. It's hands down one of the best films I've seen in ages, the way they pulled off some of the most difficult challenges in this kind of setting was unparalleled. If you're a gamer and know all the references, it's even better. It has fucktonnes of little cameos which take it to a higher level too, as well as portraying the bad guy extremely well, whilst also covering some other hot topics in the gaming world. I'd go watch it again tomorrow. Go see it, trust me. It's worth every penny.
