As we can't really travel at the moment I thought I'd share some pictures of some of the places I've been over the last decade in the hopes that you guys would do the same, the one thing that has changed with covid is the lack of travel, true for others it's much worse so I get that a lot of us have been lucky so far. We stopped the rot!! We stopped the rot!! Well, after we took a few more beatings still 🤣 We had 11 turn up across the night which was an incredible turnout and welcomed Connor (ThyCrunch) to the fold as the newcomer this week who settled in well linking up play early doors. We were teetering low down in Division 4 to start off and unfortunately, like an old Olivier Giroud, we took a little while to get into the night (you could say as per usual!) which made it even harder to get some momentum going. The Rodman @Lurch and Kanye @jordie1892 show was getting into first gear by the 3rd game but our luck eventually ran out early, even though defense performances with blocks and crucial tackles were flying in. A few unfortunate deflections seemed to always end up in front of their forward to slot home against the run of play. Although, Red Cards from hacker-go-lucky James @Lurch and through a last ditch attempt to stop a penalty from Club Tropicana @GazzaGarratt, certainly didn't help the cause. You could easily be deflated after our third relegation on the bounce but we were playing some good football, especially with people trying other positions and having more of us trying out defensive partnerships. @Macca89 turned up to play a few games and connect with Torpedo Tony @TonyAE86 to make a strong pairing and with Daninho @Dan94 playing an absolute blinder all night at Right Back, our fortunes started to turn. An always positive Gary Goals @LordBaguette started to fire off a few bangers when he eventually found his Zen moment and with Dan doing a stellar job at the back alongside feisty Mulletov @G_dub52 the W's started coming in. The most positive display from the night was the array of passing that went throughout the team, there were moments we surpassed Barcelona's standards and nearly finished a few amazing plays with a goal whereby everyone touched the ball, apart from James 😄. Having said that, the stats don't lie. Rodman was on fire. He's the best 3p we spent on an FG signing as his height was dominating corners with his trademark headers, and his right foot was belting some in the top stanch for FGFC. Bouncebackability was the word of the night where we quickly saw Gibroni Tony turn into Torpedo Tony in a matter of minutes. Firstly doing his trademark bullet soaring into the sky when 1-on-1 but then redeeming himself by latching on to a stray ball in the box to bury hit home, much to the delight of his fellow players. Connor also saw a 1-on-1 shot hit the post like Waddle in Extra Time vs West Germany at 1990 but then followed it up with a late epic run into the box and score with a cool finish. Last few games got us in firmly in the groove with a cracking curled finish from Gin Tronic @tronic44 and a bullet header by Roberto Barlos @Findmartin . The goals and assists flurried home (2.4 goals per game) with only 1 game ending up with no FG goals. Ending with 50% Wins was a great comeback from last week and leaves us knowing next session we're on we'll be back in Division 4 with another trophy in the bank! I'm actually getting sick of Treyarch - do they not realise how uninspiring and pathetic it is to keep releasing the same old content for every new game? They talk as if it's the second coming of christ when Summit returns once again but this would only be welcoming if we had about 5 new maps to back it up with. This should be the case with any old content they draft back into their newest product. Literally Cold War content is just gonna be a few new weapons (mostly for Warzone fodder) a new old map and that's it practically for post-launch support - even lamer than Black Ops 4 shambolic showing. I just find this approach insulting and completely unforgivable but it's become the norm with Treyarch. Not sure how they've gotten away with it really.

Anyone can add to this but here's a few things for new players to take note. First some tips, them some etiquette. Tips Cars cost money. Money is gained by driving. Simple. In Campaign you can choose between GT League, Driving School, Mission Challenge, Circuit Experience. I'd do Circuit Experience first as it provides money. Mission Challenge and Driving School will give you free cars after various stages. Every day you play the game, you will be given a free car, so long as you drive a minimum 26 miles. Etiquette There's a quick tutorial in the Sport section. It's a requirement before you're allowed to race online. FG Etiquette Don't be a cunt. That's all. Ok... If you bump an opponent unfairly and it costs them time, ideally you should slow down and wait for them. Try not to dive bomb unless you are abreast or close enough to make it legit, then you are within your rights to try a pass. Try your best not to ruin anyone's race. We play tough but fair, its not GTA, even if your name is Mike.😁

It's all good, yeah a bit further north of me but aye it looks like something familiar I've passed. I still think Glen Urquhart Castle is the pinnacle. It's more or less ruins compared to its former glory. But the setting is glorious and always blows me away.

Yeah I heard that also. I mean I love Summit and Firing Range, but not this many times. I swear if they add another Jungle. Would happily play any of your suggestions. Grid is cool and would fit in well with CW. Overflow was my favourite Capture the flag map on BO2. Like James OX4D said a map like Array would be nice, it's not anyone's fave, but it adds extra variety. I can think of so many maps ahead of Firing Range + Summit. Radiation, Launch, Hanoi, Plaza and Standoff from BO2. I could name another dozen more at least. 😛

I think I’ve tried all the VR headsets apart from the PSVR, the Index wins hands down for me. It’s not just resolution, the fit and feel is a lot nicer. Also the controllers are the dogs ballz.

I expected usual first wave issues with the PS5. I did not expect this with the 3080. We are doing a massive upgrade to our home computers from laptops with 900 series that were the best at the time, to PCs with the 3080s since I am no longer afraid of getting kicked out of my gaming room. Legit - the only reason why I have a laptop (bought laptops for years) was because I needed to be mobile.

Back during Christmas, my brother-in-law told me about The Queen's Gambit. It sounded interesting so I thought I'd give it a shot tonight since I'm working a night shift. Holy shit... I'm in love with it. I've only watched the first episode but wow... If the series is anything as good as the first episode, I'm watching it all for sure. Anyone else watch it? Please, no spoilers!

Season 2 will apparently bring back........ Firing Range and Summit AGAIN 🙄 With all the awesome maps at Treyarch's disposal, why is it always the same fucking maps they bring back? I want Grid, Crisis, Yemen, Overflow, Rush, Mirage.

DATE: 11th January 2021 SESSION: Week 9 Day 1 CALORIES: 2872kcals COMPOUNDS: Squats 1x2@175kg Overhead Press 3x6@65kg FEELINGS: Today was immense, I hit 175kg for a double. Raw. That’s a Personal best! Ever since I dodged my knee 2 years ago I’ve not been able to lift raw very much (just knee sleeves and belt) as the pain was too much. So I moved over to using knee wraps which essentially work like a whole new knee and add a lot of help to the squat. It’s not desirable as using wraps is very time consuming and painful (because of how tight you wrap them). I focused a lot of time last year on rehabbing my knee and changing my squat technique. I like all the tracks you mention Lee. In fact Sardenga has 5 layouts and they're all great. I also like Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa+Miyabi Sainte Croix Alsace But they're all good, some are just more enjoyable than others.

Like you Lee, my favourite tracks are ones I win on too.....so that would be all except Blue Moon Bay 🤣 I enjoy almost all tracks in gt sport though I think some depend on the right cars. The stand outs for me are Spa Francochamps, Suzuka, Brands Hatch, Kyoto, Maggiore, Alsace and Dragon Trail seaside. In Gr3 or 4 cars they’re all quite fast flowing tracks but with a mix of elevation, off camber, late or double apex corners etc. that provide a challenge too.

Some interesting games. I haven't played board games in years, but I remember a lot of the classics from childhood. Some of my favourites include. Monopoly, Cluedo, Game Of Life, Hungry Hippos, Mousetrap, Payday. Not to mention the ultimate in world domination "Risk" that's a game and a half. Great thread Stretch, was a great read!

I'm a little aimless and unmotivated today, but I still tried to get something in. My boxing coach cancelled late last night as he is sick. Since I do not want to chance that it would be COVID, I'm basically not seeing him for another 2 Saturdays. It's fine. I'm prepared for that now. Still smarting a little from yesterday's session. Had some body self care done via dry needling and chiropractor. My chiropractor goes to the same place I go to, so he went through the same workout with me haha. Since I did not give much thought to today's impromptu workout, I thought I would just focus on my weakness being upper body and core. Did not want to ask husband to spot, so I didn't go heavy on the bench pressing. Just threw on more sets to go to near failure. 1/9/2021 Workout Bench Press Weightlifting: 3x5 @ 45lbs 10x5 @ 65lbs Cardio-ish time. Buy in: 500m row 10 rounds 10 Russian Twists @ 15lb kettlebell 10 tricep dips 10 double crunches Cash Out: 500m row and 25 goblet squats Thoughts: Totally one of those days where I did not want to do anything. But, there was a time where I was fine with working out 4x - 5x a week. And, the DietBet pot is at $2m. Just meeting every goal until the end makes the money incentive worth it. Short term goals need to remind me of my long term goals. I'm not completely focused on my food yet, but I'm saving that strategy for next month's interval winner's pot. I still have a healthy stash of various proteins, and all the usual food things we typically cook when we aren't fighting "hibernation mode". All in all, at least I got something done. Tomorrow, I will most likely do an active rest workout focusing on functional movements. Week 1 down. 51 more weeks to go. Decent start, I think.

Here we go... first weightlifting session since... June 2020? My numbers aren't where they were, but I know the strength comes back pretty quickly. Took it a little easy on the upper body since I'm still trying to work out my right shoulder issue/imbalance. Did not go to failure on the squats as I like to have a spotter when I go heavy. 1/6/2021 Workout Buy in: 1000m row Strict Press 5 reps @ 45lbs 5x4 @ 65lbs Back Squat 5x4 @ 65lbs 5 reps @ 75lbs 5 reps @ 95lbs 5 reps @ 115lbs 5 reps @ 125lbs 5 reps @ 135lbs 5 reps @ 155lbs Cash out: 500m row and 25 sit ups Thoughts: I really need to install a small TV in my gym. But, also, I always hate when my lifting numbers are low. But, I still remember when I thought 115lbs was heavy. At least it's not all terrible? We have power snatches and wall balls on Friday too... I also kept that in mind when doing this. Didn't want to be too sore going in for that at 5AM. Last thought --> really grateful for the cold. I hate being hot lol.

Did my 5:15AM HIIT workout today. Sometimes, what my coaches program leave me with anxiety. This week is actually more to my liking. 1/5/21 Workout 20 minute AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) 10 ring rows 10 ball slams 15 leg raises 20 box jumps Thoughts: Yup, still really hate cardio. But, I prefer old-school HIIT like this. I'll do box jumps faster than step ups. I'll do rowing before running. Apparently, some movements, I just move better if they are the more difficult versions. Have zero clue how many rounds I did. I stopped counting after 6. There was a point when I was about to do the ball slams, and I just did a single one. Had to catch my breath from previous movements. The coach turned around and said, "Sooo.. that's 1." Post-workout, he said to me that today was the fastest he's seen me move... so far. I've only been with him for 4 months. He, the other coach, and I have this "joke"/understanding that I always move at half-speed. Always. For me, I have a mental barrier to really go 100% in my HIIT. I'm literally just trying to survive lol. So, no, I don't think I will ever go 100% like some of the others. I might consider doing some jump rope later just to make it a full cardio day.

Ahhh Gamesmaster I forgot about that one! It had great walkthroughs and cheats as well. It was Iconic especially in those PS1/2 days. And your right with the t,internet available a lot of these mags are not as relevant which is a shame.

Yeah, last September I got a Valve Index so different but basically the same and I can confirm they are awesome! I've mostly been sticking to sim racing with it but I've played a few other games. Like you I've also tried TV/movies on it though I've been meaning to sort out a better seat so I can watch a whole movie as I really want to watch the Star Wars original trilogy in 4k in VR.
