  1. Good racing last night guys. It was good to see a large group racing again this week and even my missus says she hasn’t heard me laugh so much on a race night! 😄 @Greboth3rd race was hilarious but I enjoyed the close racing on that one with you even if it did get close! Definitely think the GT needs to have another look at the penalty zones on the red bull track as there was a lot of frustration flying about!

  3. My dream is to one day be able to add Fallout 4 to this thread. Over 100 hours in and the horizon is as distant as ever.

  4. Even though I'd previously completed the game years ago, me and my daughter played through Knack in 3 sittings and she completed the final fight tonight. Difficulty was on Easy but I'm super impressed with what she's shown me. I have always felt like this game got more hate than it deserved. For me it was a pretty enjoyable experience, the only thing I've always said is the game just feels a few chapters too long. As she's only 4, I really can't expect much from her in games and it's something she's only just starting to get used to. We started out on Little Big Planet 3, learning the most basic controls of jumping and moving around the screen, then we was able to look more at things like jumping and grabbing and other things which isn't too complicated. Well after practicing this for a few days, we decided to give Knack a try in co-op. To my surprise she picked this up fairly quickly, probably helped by her time on LBP. Co-op mode is great in this game as you can give the main controller to the young one and you control a side Knack, one who doesn't fail a level when he dies with unlimited respawns. I used this to my advantage by doing a lot of the heavy fighting in groups. The thing about co-op is the camera is locked to the main Knack character and if you travel too far from Knack, you respawn back next to him. Great fun in co-op if you ever want to introduce someone young to gaming.

  5. I'm not sure we have one of these? I couldn't find anything through search. Which games have you completed and what did you think of them? Yesterday I completed 'Horizon Zero Dawn' on PS4. I absolutely love this game, the machines, the world, the soundtrack and story. It's a masterpiece that everyone needs to play. I don't have the DLC but I might hold off buying that and buy the Complete Edition game DRM free on GOG, so worth replaying.

  6. Right there with you buddy lol. I saw the keys in the picture first and knew immediately. Thats a pretty sick present, definitely would put them in a display This was the first Christmas in who knows how many years that I didn't go anywhere, and that was awesome. We usually spend the days around Christmas running around visiting family so I was actually really looking forward to this Christmas. The wine was flowing early. Aside from some gift cards from family I usually only get a present from my parents. Me and the wife stopped giving each other presents a long time ago. Usually I get something house or camper related from my folks but this year I really couldn't think of anything I didn't already have so I didn't give them any ideas. They decided to get me an Oculus Quest 2 VR set which is something I'd never even thought about honestly. It's amazing how far these things have come compared to the last time I tried one of these about 5+ years ago. I haven't played any games yet but I did watch about 3 seasons of Turn on Netflix lol. Its like being in a legit movie theater with a massive screen. Also jumped out of a few airplanes with a wingsuit on flying down mountains, rode some roller coasters, Blue Angels ride alongs, etc. The Oasis cannot come soon enough! And TIL about Lynx Africa gifts being a thing lol.

    Back 4 Blood

I need to understand what the selling point is above CoD zombies cos most of us have that already on the latest ones. Its more likely a £30 game on the face of it right now.

  12. Love and Monsters! It was just a good, funny, post-apocalyptic movie. I do hope they continue world-building.

  13. Cheers mate, seems very strange and pretty annoying tbh. Had a few clips now where it's only recorded the gameplay and my mic but not my friends in the party. Just doubled checked again all the settings and everything is allowed/enabled

  14. They muddied the water a bit with the whole ps4/ps5 thing. It's not always entirely clear what version you're looking at. Booting COD on the PS5 gives you the option to purchase the full game, but only offered the PS4 version (apparently you need the cross-gen version). I will move GTA to the HDD in that case, at least that's a bit of space saved. Overall I feel like Xbox UI and PC integration a cross play has been implemented better.

  16. Looks great James, like I said before you really capture the essence of these games with these screenies. You should be doing them for games magazines and the likes of the back of game boxes. Really good talent for making them look superb.

  21. Have to get back on this it's a very well done game. I've seen @JsinOwl on PSN playing it but not many others. Haven't tried the update yet but I'd be up for giving it a go. Shame the Owl isn't here to give us his thoughts.

  22. I still have my Samsung S9+, had it just over 3 years now I think. When my contract ended, I just went over to SIM only, so kept my S9+ and just pay £16 a month I believe for 60GB data and unlimited texts and calls. Really debating getting the S20 5G Fan Edition... it's only £699 compared to the usual £999/£1099 price point and has most of the flagship specs from the standard S20 models.

  23. Last week was absolutely awesome racing. Having 9 of us in the race definitely add to some more battles throughout the races and great to see new people giving GT Sport a go too. The first race was a blinder foe me personally, perhaps the best it's ever been. I'm getting seriously fast one lap times in practice and sometimes in Qualy, so transforming that into consistent performances is the key part. The first 4 lap race started miserably because after getting the 2nd fastest time in practice, I was back down in 5th after a few scratchy Qualifying laps. However, the road opened for me and I believe Matty @Misneach_ for once as he slowly started to get into the race. A quick battle between him and Mike @Mikepjbell saw Matty lose track position and with Mike hitting the fast chicane barrier full on to lose places on the first lap. @Greboth and @JBR-Kiwi as per usual were battling quite hard for first spot and because I was around only 2 seconds behind it kept me with a fighting chance. On the last lap Greebs and Kiwi went hard into the chicane with Kiwi coming off worse, enough for me to slip past him into second just behind Greebs. I was so happy with that race and reminded I can actually get some consistency. The second race was a killer. We put BoP off so Paul @slamminbones could join us with a Gr.2 car when it was a Gr.3 race which actually made for some challenging and unpredicatable racing. Kiwi had the power with Greebs being left for dead on straights. Mike battled back and forth with Greebs initially, and stuck close by staying ahead of @phil bottle at the same time. A huge long lap saw lower down @jordie1892 do extremely well at navigating himself into the top of the next pack, with myself close behind followed by Harold @Spacedeck . I eentually past Jordie although it took many corners, for us to the both get close again for another battle. We took a corner far too fast and all of a sudden Harold sneaked past, only to unfortunately lose it on the next corner. I feel like if he could've held that corner he would've went on to beat us. An unfortunate mispick of tyres for Mike ended up meaning he had to pit twice which left him 2 seconds behind Phil on the last lap which got a bit tasty until Mike couldn't hold one of the corners. Greebs for all the effort just couldn't close the gap enough on the corners on Kiwi who took a great win when tyres were wearing extremely thin. Super to see @TonyAE86 be around as well Tom @LordBaguette initially, although sounds like he need to sort his controller out! GGFG everyone!

  24. HZD is a fantastic game that I'm glad I waited on for the expansion to come out. It completely engrossed me in ways that not many games do. For example, I actually read almost EVERY SINGLE PIECE of lore in the world when I found them. I rarely do that. I love the games I play, and I generally enjoy the lore. But, you won't catch me reading every single piece of Dragon Age lore found in that world. And, I love Dragon Age. Guerrilla Games knocked it out of the pack with HZD and going against everything they knew. HZD is what happens when a studio takes it time and isn't forced into weird engines or demands :: cough cough :: Frostbite and micro transactions :: cough cough :: I think Days Gone is a sleeper game. When I saw the announcement trailer, I thought, "Oh look. another zombie game.. how boring." Wrong.. I was.so.wrong. Are the characters interesting? They aren't the most interesting. I find the main character to be more immature than I prefer. I find some of the plot points to be... a reach. But, the overall story? Decent enough. But the gameplay? Wow. Just like how HZD makes you pay attention to the environment and sounds for the sake of hunting and survival, so does Days Gone. You think you're safe hunting whatever, but you might not be paying attention to the sound cues that a hoard is coming and will chase and eat you. Sometimes, two hoards may merge into 1. Sometimes, you can be clever enough to use a hoard to your advantage. Sometimes, you just might be riding around and then get tackled by a super fast and terrifying zombie. Who knows? And, that's the beauty of it. But, the most interesting thing on Days Gone is that it is set in the SAME universe as Syphon Filter. I never played it, but I think that's really awesome. I completed HZD during winter of 2017. I completed FFXV winter of 2018. I completed Days Gone last winter. This winter will be Ghost of Tsushima. Winter is when I play engrossing games. If there's a lull in my winter gaming, it's because there's nothing worth my actual time. I play other games for the sake of community, but not because I hold them in as high regard as GOTY games.

  25. Quite possibly need for speed payback. Flew through the game same as most need for speeds starts of great but slowly get boring as it's the same old stuff over and over again.

  26. I started Horizon and got quite far but could never shake the feeling it should be played with a mouse and keyboard. If you ever see it cheap, let me know! Great idea for a thread by the way as I think most ppl usually put these in PPRs. Surprised no-one thought of this before😁
