  1. So work has started on the new base in earnest and there is quite a bit of the walls built already but I know a few people don't know about the new base and the plan so of course I thought I'd create a pretty picture. The basic walls are in place though for the most part, though a lot of blocks are still cobblestone blocks so need upgrading to concrete and hardened concrete. There are forge's and cement mixers on the second level with a few small storage crates full of stone, sand and clay for us to make the materials to upgrade blocks. There is also food, drink etc. and nailguns which are the best tool for upgrading blocks. The basic plan is that there will be walls with mis-aligned gaps in so zombies will try and path find to us in the middle and make them walk passed lots of traps. I don't know what we could put in the corners with the question marks? Originally I was thinking traps but I don't think they would be much use - maybe the auto gun turrets? what's the range on them does anyone know? There is also the thought we could over all the traps with iron bars so we could shoot down on the zombies but I don't know if you can through molotov's and grenades through iron bars. The base could be expanded further too if we need it to include more walls, traps, spikes etc. Though I'm thinking that we should probably leave the base as it to see how it copes with a horde night. I've also included a side view of the base so people know the floor;# Floor 1 is bedrooms; Not really useful in this game but nice to have a little personalised area of the base. Floor 2 This has a few forges, workbenches and cement mixers on which are being used currently. I think the plan is for some of these to stay there to be used ad hoc for crafting with a little storage of things to be used for these ad-hoc crafting. Floor 3 Bulk storage and bulk crafting. Certain items like stone, clay etc. we will get lots more of than other resources so all the additional stuff can be stored down there. With forges dedicated to smelting iron, lead etc. This is from @phil bottle plan so I'm hoping I have got it correct but I don't think any one is precious about the plans so any input is welcome. On this still be to worked out is a garage, we keep picking up vehicles come horde night but it would be good to have somewhere proper to store all our vehicles.

  2. That's pretty awesome @Greboth Extra ideas/plans to complement this would be: 1. External garage to the north of the base which can be accessed underground from the new base. 2. Longer term plan is to connect both bases by an underground road.

  3. Villa were lucky, it was one of those games where it all went wrong for Liverpool. Spurs however were just the superior team on this occasion and will win the league this year. 🤗😅🙂😎

  4. This thread isn’t meant so much as a this is what is happening, more communicate the ideas we’ve had so anyone can join in the build without needing everything verbally explained. A garage would be cool, I can add it to the image later so we have a rough idea of where we would need to dig. I assume the garage would connect with floor 1 or were you thinking depeer? The spinning blades were just used as it’s easy to make a visual representation of them but the trenches could be filled with any traps you want. Can the auto turrents shoot down? If so, could we place them on the walls? especially the outside wall so they could start shooting new waves coming in. As for watch towers, that’s a good idea. If we can’t throw molotov through iron bars we will need places to stand out over the traps so that could be the solution.

  5. Just done the calendar lol Yeah, if you enter the daily race but just record a qualifying lap time instead of going the race, the time gets recorded for all your friends to compare.

  6. I love the whole idea of it all. Its certainly an impressive sight already with the amount of concrete used! I really want to support building a garage to the extent its killing me just leaving vehicles lying around. We should start the whole for it this week at some point. I've started building blade traps but need a lot more engineering parts so please keep wrenching everything 😄 The Question mark areas for me would be great as high watchtowers to shoot all the zombies in. We could make connecting bridges so we can cover easily each angle quickly. I'd also like to add it would be ace to get some auto turrets up; maybe looking at holes for Zombies in the concrete? The last thought was we could experiment with the electricity and build some trip wires to slow the zombies down to make easy pickings. We've never tried it before and would be cool to see. Also. Would LOVE to see this happen ASAP. Any chance we can start now? 😁

  7. Ah more job losses due to Corona virus, tbh the last film I went to see at the cinema was bohemian rhapsody, deadpool before that. I fell out with the cinema years ago tbh, why go spend the extra cash to damage my hearing. A while back it was a way to watch films that was so superior to what you could get at home now you wait a few months we have massive flat screen TVs and surround sound systems why bother with the cinema. Also having watched stuff on smaller screens including a 1.25 inch mp4 player your eyes adjust to the experience. The other reason is the film's themselves, multiple franchises, re-boots and pushing social/political agendas fuck off, how about something new and interesting as I just want to be entertained and alot of films going straight to streaming services give me that and I'm a lot of cases are better. I actually prefer to watch my old DVD's regularly tbh. I sat through the crow last night for example. Also TV shows production has gotten better, money and "stars" are turning to that. No wonder the cinemas can't compete and as time goes on it will get worse.

  8. Also, being stuck in a cinema full of slurping, chomping, rustling, talking idiots who pay to "watch" a film whilst having their mobile phone on all the time!! 🤬

  9. Would you like me to record some game play footage? I have a pretty normal machine and I am running this game on PC, on ultra, on 1440p, getting between 130-178 frames depending on the map/ game type. Lee, controller is the play my dude.

@Greboth @phil bottle do you know what the track and car type is yet? Also, just a thought to add each week was still have a time trial time for Fastest Lap as people like Gary @techno can't join whilst he's on lates but he fancied giving the track and timings a go. Might only have to be an easy thing we add to keep an eye on?

  11. Lucky?! Grealish span rings around their defence and Watkins made people stand up and finally realise how Gomez and Trent-Arnold aren't as good at defending as people may think. Van Dyk however looked like he couldn't be arsed which was very odd. Mourinho will get you close, I really do believe that. He's back at a club with an owner that truly realises what his effect can do when you support him. No support at Man Utd? 2 trophies. I'm looking forward to Spurs lifting at least one of the domestic cups.

  12. I feel like Cinemas are the new Blockbuster closedown in this era imo. Where Theatres offer a niche market of watching live face to face plays and adaptations, cinemas were the access to the latest films - which have now seen a huge shift towards the massive subscription based services. There used to be a time where only shit B movies debut on Netflix, Sky, etc however now we get some films that are scoring very high on critic ratings and also large high profile actors and actresses making their way into these films. Disappointingly and sadly, I'm really not sure what the cinema can offer as a pull to get you going again. I even say this after one of my best experiences watching a film was when Avengers Endgame came out to see it in a huge screen with surround sound. I don't even believe there has been an offering from the Government to exclusively support the cinema industry so that could be another nail in the coffin.

  13. Great Super Sunday. Super games, couldn't get over what was going on most of the time! @ChaosGladiator If you're betting on anything, I was already fancying Villa for Europe with all the signings they've bought. Watkins was always going to score goals, the guy has masses of ability. Whilst Man Utd and Liverpool were shocking at the back, we should take the time to commend how well Spurs and Villa played as the chances they created were stellar.

    Baldur's Gate 3

I'm waiting for the Outer Worlds to drop on Steam, hopefully this month. I waited for Metro too. Epic just made Rocket League get taken off Steam store and they're paying RL owners on Steam £10 to switch over. I'm not playing ball. As for Baldurs Gate, hmm I'm going to wait until its finished I think. Will see, I'm easily swayed by good reviews...

  16. What the fuck is happening this season? 😂 I’m tempted to put money on one of the mid-table teams to go on and win the whole league now 🤣

  18. Cheers Dave! BBC radio said it was permanent🤣 Well that's some relief at least but it looks very precarious indeed. One of the big factors aside from the obvious is that cinemas don't exactly provide for open spaces, multiple doors or windows - could be very difficult to manage crowds even with controlled seating and number restrictions. Plus people may not be willing to spend £20 for this type of experience. There's just so much going against this that there really doesn't seem to be a way forward for this part of the entertainment industry.

  19. Apparently the closure is only temporary at the moment but the outlook is indeed bleak... Cineworld closure puts 5,500 jobs at risk WWW.BBC.CO.UK The cinema chain says it will have to temporarily close following delays to big-budget film releases.

  20. Well, I was looking forward to the adaptation of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World but apparently it's just another excuse to do some soft porn. Seems our age can't handle deep thought. I hear they're turning Warhammer 40K into celluloid or possibly its Netflix, and I'm interested to see how they'll get tits in that too😅

  21. So far, this game is a masterpiece. I cannot get over how polished and impressive this game is, let alone the level of difficulty and fun. They have gone on record earlier in the year saying there are no plans to expand upon the ship roster but I think the money alone and feedback would turn them down the battle pass, dlc seasons path. This is one of the best Star Wars games in the last 20 years for me and a must buy.

  23. Couple of films I enjoyed last week . On sky le man 66 or ford v Ferrari, Christian Bale played Ken Miles really well imo. Even knowing the story it was an entertaing couple of hours. Prime. The gentleman, truly typical Guy Ritchie yarn Weeman another based on real people film, also a decent enough story.

  24. Cineworld in the UK is closing all screens permanently due to the Coronavirus impact resulting in 5,000 job losses and many other chains globally are deeply affected. The postponement of the new James Bond film seems to have a devastating knock-on effect and is the final straw for many companies it appears. The film producers itself may also regret that move with potential limited locations and low capacity screenings for when it does finally launch in November. Could this be the beginning of the end for cinemas altogether? They were becoming very expensive despite some weekly offers from some chains, plus there are plenty of other means to watch new movie releases soon after whether it be from discs or streaming. Whilst it's nice to go out and watch something on the big screen, it's becoming less viable and attractive especially with things becoming so expensive and accessible through other means. I don't want to see cinemas die out but it is going to be very hard for them to recover due to the chain of issues the virus situation has caused.
