It's to do with disc seek times. Ps5 will be ssd and there's no need to stripe data for rotational drives. You can remove the need for multiple entries of textures because they don't need to be sequential. Pc had to accommodate rotational drives even if only part of legacy specifications. Via the FG App

Love the look of that Spider-Man one. Guessing that will probably be limited edition... the one thing I didn’t like about the launch was the re-release of GTA V again. For a game that has now spanned 3 console generations, it really smacks of a company that really doesn’t care about trying to build something new and would rather flog the exact same poor cow again and again and again. I’m almost surprised we didn’t see an announcement that Skyrim will be rereleased on the ps5 as well... on the plus side my wife got very excited about ratchet and clank and that bugsnax game 🤣

As well as Wreckfest, a few of us are going to have a quick look at Star Wars BF 2 to see if it's a viable Friday night game. Good presentation, though not blown over by any of the new games, but the offering is a lot better than shown at the Miscrosoft event. An Elders Scrolls 6 or GTA 6 would have been the only thing to make me want this straight away. Hope GT7 will be available on PS4.

With everytime - until the console digital market starts to reflect the pc digital market where prices are actually reasonable then disc everytime. Plus my consoles have always been my dvd/bluray player too.

Very excited to see this in last night's PS5 event. It looks amazing. I'm not likely to pick up a PS5 for a while, so I hope they release this for PS4 and make it forward compatible... If not, and I can't believe I'm saying this about a driving game, could make me pick up the console quicker than planned. Though I finally got round to playing Assetto Corsa yesterday and that might keep me on the straight and narrow. I put off playing it, as I couldn't get on with Project Cars and the hassle trying to get any feeling out of that game soured me on PC driving. But I'm so glad I finally gave it a try, it is fantastic.

Also watch 1978 and 1980 version plus the spin off called caprica that only lasted one season. I was gutted when BSG second coming was cancelled which would of been out in 1999.

Battlestar galactica the remake is one show everyone needs to watch. I always watch it once a year some times twice.

Thankfully Origin doesn't seem to be very intrusive when paired with Steam - you only have to ever login once and from then on, each time you launch an EA title from your Steam library, it just does a quick authentication and then the game runs instantly. You don't ever have to login again or go through the store or Origin library. Way better than the likes of uPlay and Rockstar Social Club but as a standalone, I probably hate Origin the most.

That's no different from when you launch a Ubisoft title Uplay opens. What is kind of shitty is if you don't have it on Steam you need to buy it on Steam.

That would all make too much sense for Activation though

At this rate they'd be better off milking Warzone for another 15 months and just releasing BO'5' as they would have in 2021. It was tight enough with them taking over Sledgehammer but with Corona on top, it feels like it's gonna be a half-baked product. Warzone has only been out a few months so it would be daft to move players away from that seemingly so soon. They could probably whip up MW2 MP Remastered too.

Games wise it didn't really sell it. The console itself looks very nice. I won't be able to afford it this time round, maybe in 2-3 years I'll hope to be able to consider it, by which time they'll have better working versions and the game library will be decent. And it would be disc all the way, especially if it turns out to be backwards compatible. Plus digital on consoles is stupid expensive when the discs can be had much cheaper.

This bundle may interest someone.
