Well this is creepy AF. I was literally just saying to Kyla yesterday, "I wonder what happened to the goths, we haven't seen any in ages". This of course resulted in comments like "because everyone's in lockdown you fucking idiot" and I said "yes but on public transport on stuff" and she said "because you're never on public transport you fucking idiot" and so on, good times.

According to Twitter it's World Goth Day today, which made me chuckle. It got me thinking though, we used to laugh at goths when we were kids, especially in the summertime, but some of the bands did knock out some decent tunes. Anything I remember during today I will add to this thread, but for now:

It does look a tad over crowded to me and also I feel Mario and Toad just don't really fit in. They are the first characters I notice every time as they just seem to pop out more, maybe due to the bright colours.

As Warzone has been out for a while now and most of what was overpowered at the start has been well and truly countered by now, I wonder, what works for you? To be a bit more specific, what guns do you find work better for you, what type of playstyle have you had the most success with, which perks do you run and what equipment do you use? At the start I ran the very meta M4 and Thermal sniper overkill combo as well as a heartbeat sensor and depending on the safe zone I'd switch my playstyle from agressive to camping little cunt. Lately it seems the M4 is still used by a lot of people, but I've moved away from it as I prefer the Grau 5.56, FAL, Aug and Ak-47. As for snipers, I barely use them now because running overkill has become riskier to run as a perk. More people are getting and using UAV's, so Ghost has become one of the perks I run the most. Where before 80% of my classes were set up with overkill and the remaining 20% had ghost, that's now switched. Another reason I don't use the sniper is the lens glare. It's such a massive giveaway and even if the team you are trying to snipe doesn't see you, the chances are high a different team will see you. And where I used to run the thermal scopes before, I'm starting to consider taking it off. Everyone runs cold blooded now. This also makes the heartbeat sensor completely useless, where before using one would save you from running into a house full of campers, you just have to barge in and hope for the best now. I had heartbeat sensors on all of my Warzone classes, now I run the Gas grenade as it will force the enemy to hip fire their guns and will blur their vision. Not sure if it will still do that if they have a gas mask, but even if they do, they still have to hipfire while pulling it down which gives me an edge. As for secondaries now that I've stopped running overkill on most classes, I've mostly been running the RPG. Used in the right situations and with a bit of luck this thing can be devastating. I've gotten so many double and tripple kills with this thing over the last week I could probably make a several minute montage out of it. You kinda rely on getting a munitions box to use it a lot though as the ammo for it seems pretty rare to find running around Verdansk. But there are other options! I've seen people run the akimbo revolvers and I've been completely mangled by them a couple of times myself. And then there's the new pistol, the Renetti. I'm trying my best to level this gun up at the moment after getting to try out Dark_Uprising's akimbo, burst Renetti's in warzone. A single tap on both triggers up close and whoever was in front of you is now on the floor 😄 This gun is a goddamn beast and I can't wait to get it akimbo'ed! As for playstyle, I find I do better hugging the edge of the gas while trying to maintain at least some cover. I've stopped trying to go into buildings late game unless I'm 110% sure there is no one in there or I'm getting shot at and have no choice but to go inside to survive. Early game I don't mind pushing deeper into the circle in order to make sure you don't have to go too far as the storm tends to be faster early game than late game. I would also recommend doing the recon contracts if you can, getting that circle peek so you know where the circle is going is pretty damn big. If you manage to take control of a building that will be in one of the later circles early on, you are pretty much set for the whole game.

@ChaosGladiator and I were chatting about the 10 round Socom magazine for the M4 and he suggested I tried to run it like a DMR in warzone. Hopefully he will make a post outlining that. Whilst playing around with that class I made a disgusting M16 class that is a 1 shot kill in hardcore and 3 shot kill in core at most ranges. I’ve attached an image of the class and the results from a quick test in hardcore hard hat Dom. EDIT: this picture has the tac laser, replace that with the Burst perk! If you play passive, use cover and don’t get caught sprinting, this gun is accurate and packs a punch. Give it a try! @Mazzer66 @wapntake @Plumbers Crack @bluffin109

I've been using the M4 as a DMR setting it to single fire, putting the marksman barrel and a variable zoom scope on it with the Socom rounds, in HC it's a 1 shot kill, warzone I believe it's 5 shots to kill and would not recommend taking on firefights with more than one person at a time and in core it's 2-3 shots depending on where you hit. Very fun gun to use, need to test the burst mod eventually too.

Looking forwards to that one mate. I haven't been so keen on the latter day stuff to be honest, maybe the nostalgia from when punk was new and pissed off the establishment has something to do with that. I was lucky to see some top punk bands from those times, Missed out on the Pistols though as was just that bit too young (believe it or not) to go gigging when they were at their peak. Rock City in Nottingham is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year, top gig venue and I still go now when I can. So many good memories had in that place, as well as others. This is a bit of a pre-curser to Goth. Saw Killing Joke in Manchester in 1982 with my Mrs when we were very young and first together before our lives went in different directions before getting back together some 14 years ago. First gig we ever went to together! Ian McCullock from Echo and The Bunnymen was there in the crowd as well! I think my Mrs still has the photo. 😁 While I was up there for that weekend she took me to the Virgin Megastore where strangely we turned down one aisle only to run into Pete Shelley from the Buzzcocks, I think I still have the fag packet he signed for me somewhere 🤣

I saw UK Decay (the band name on that dancing Goth's jacket) at The Union on the Trent embankment in Nottingham back in the Eighties, fucking good times. Place was packed with all the Notts punks, everyone knew everyone. Saw some cracking bands there in it's hey day!!

If anyone in FG wants THE challenge then its Niobe Labs for you! Pleased to report @Teenwolf25 and @FallenDark200 took my sorry ass through it and we finally nailed it after 4 or 5 attempts. With 7 rounds of complex combinations of shooting certain symbols in different places, waves of enemies and bombs to disarm, it was super intense, especially with how quick you have to shoot the symbols. For a 10 minute activity, we kept on failing at the end part, mainly we believe down to the symbols not activating (mainly the fish one on the floor), and then followed by Clive getting kicked out of the party by PSN and Justin on the next run sent to orbit. When it felt like it wasnt our night, we managed to get the job done on level 7 - a great challenge done for the exotic ghost shell and a pretty sweet emblem. Not all challenges need amazing loot, although they do look sweet. Forty ran it after I got off too so 4 of us now have it done - if anyone else wants to try it be sure to say here. I'll try and get a guide up and potentially the video of our views at each section. GGFG!

I quite like it to be fair. I just think maybe the logo would be better in the middle and abit bigger maybe with Ken and Ryu doing there thing either side? Im crap at being creative but theres my thought haha Good work 👍👍

So I just posted in the destiny ps4 discord the TWAB for this week and its very interesting. I honestly have come to grips on liking the idea of sunsetting weapons it kinda low blow to me being a new player and grinded out all these hard to get weapons but at the same time its not like they are taking those guns away from you? They are just not going to be viable in the new content and any pvp match that allows light level. So on that note you can still use all those favorite weapons you have grinded for hours. They just said they are changing up most of the perk bases allowing new or older weapons to actually be good in pve they are adding two new perks and then two new weapons with two new iron banner perks on them next season. Yes they might reskin some of the weapons like they did in the past but the big hype is right now is once the fall dlc hits a lot of people think they are going to bring in all of d3 weapons that they had already did 🤔 but that is just speculation. Also with the perk changes that actually allows a hole new diversity of weapons to be used and if everyone is worried about the sunsetting of weapons you have a hole year to replace those weapons from season 11 which is kinda crazy. Thats 4 seasons away and a dlc drop between the first sunset soooo in reality the panic about it is kinda bs. I also agree with godspeed though the content is a little dry and thats why I quit playing d1 but all games get dry when you spend hours and hours on stuff even if your doing raids. I couldn't imagine doing raids over 100 times like thats gotta get boring and pvp gets old after awhile to. So I say this to anyone who feels burnt out put the game down dont touch it let it get juicy content. Do not and I mean do not let the bungie fomo fool you. Name one weapon you have actually never gotten because you missed out and they haven't brought out down the road ill wait...... the only thing you honestly miss out on is the events and cosmetics. So am I'm finally on board with it yes 👍

Yeah, we're both using the bike. Just having a good 30 min blast on it whilst watching tv or something like that so it doesn't interfere too much with the other bits. Shes much the same as me as well. Any kind of exercise just makes you feel better about yourself which makes you want to do more. Certainly a worthwhile investment as we have no idea how long life is going to stay like this for

I’ve not watched the video (and probably won’t as I don’t like scump) but I assume his gripes are probably the same as mine: 1. too casual friendly. Too easy to camp and no reward for aggressive game play and mastering gun skill 2. Skill based match making, I’m always in try hard sweat lobbies so getting a decent gameplay means I have to sweat even harder 3. The gun meta is so linear. I suppose this is true of some other CODs but you’d think by now they would have worked this out?

Nice thread Seb. One thing I never go for is the Loadout Drops. I'm working towards having a loadout in case I ever need one but the whole idea of Warzone that makes it good is that you go searching for loot boxes and see what guns you can find. Weapons If I can find a purple or gold AR, not a burst one - the Grau variants I find are the best, followed by long distance SMGs, MP5 and clearly the AUG if you can find one. Sniper for a secondary is ideal too. Semi-God Dragunov's can be a great pick up in the early stages of the circle closing in. Shotguns are no-no for me. Only time I think they are useful is when you immediately land in a place with many buildings and players in the same place. The map is too big to waste a slot on a shotgun. Killstreaks When I'm usually on it's with @Stretch616 of late and we always pick up UAVs for $4000. So useful across the entire map, no matter when you use it. After that it's enough funds for a potential revive and lately using spare cash to get armour plates. Tactical Heartbeat Sensor FTW. Appreciate people trying to get around it by wearing cold-blooded but many dont wear that still so works for most of the time. Lethal Semtex or Molotov. I like Molotovs because you can lock someone in an entrance with the fire. Playstyle Usually it's around the edge of the circle to drop in and then it's all about making the game as fun packed as possible. So drop in, find guns and then either find a contract that's nearby or go for near players to grab kills and the cash. We do get a couple of games where we land lucky, get great drops and circle is on us and at those times we'll find a good building and camp up but I'd rather go out there and make the game more interesting.

I had some PSN funds left over from Christmas so I cracked, bit the bullet and bought it. Firstly, I think it's a travesty that there is no multiplayer - I can understand that they have MW2019 and can easily put classic content into that (which they've done so and fucked it up the bum with) but even so, it would've been incredible to have MW2 vanilla MP remastered. Not having any Spec Ops/Co-op is an absolutely disgrace and wholly inexcusable really. This inclusion alone would have made it well worth the money and given users many hours of additional enjoyment. Not sure if Activision didn't want it to detract away from people playing and spending money in the latest COD or Warzone or whether the devs just could not be bothered but either way, it's a staggering omission like having a salad without lettuce. The campaign is magnificent though and they have done an incredible job with the remaster. It feels great and the new lighting and textures are amazing. There are also some extra attention to detail and seeing each mission for the first time and its improvements is a great experience. My only disappointment with it is the weapon sounds. Quite a few have changed and not for the better either. I really don't know why they haven't included the originals. The music and voices are all there which is fantastic. I think I would struggle to put £20 down of my own money for this for just the campaign but if you have it spare and are gagging to play this again, it's definitely worth experiencing. I hope one day we get Spec Ops at the very least.
