  1. Walmart stops advertising violent games as Apex Legends tournament taken off TV METRO.CO.UK Video games continue to be blamed for the recent spate of mass shootings in the U.S., despite no direct link between any of them. Actually it's a world built on dog eat dog that kills people, but never mind that. Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

New rules in Premier League for 19/20 season - CBBC Newsround WWW.BBC.CO.UK The start of the new Premier League season is just days away and last season's rule book has been thrown out and rewritten for the new campaign. Newsround takes a look at the most important rule changes for the season. Do you think they're a good idea? I'll transcribe when I'm near a PC Winter break will be weird. 4. Activision have just released information stating they made $800,000,000 in 3 months from microtransactions across their franchises, as fans are 'embracing' new content and remaining 'engaged' with the products. I think we can pretty much assume that Modern Warfare will be plagued with MTX's shortly after release especially taking into account the money lost from the pass aspect. I think they'll do maybe four battle passes totaling £40 to mitigate that and then probably something even more aggressive than what we saw in Casino Ops 4 gunsmith related stuff. The only positive is that Infinity Ward produce much higher quality content than the cartoony trash Treyarch designs which wouldn't even be fit for purpose in most F2P mobile games. I just hope IW can maintain the seriousness and quality of the reworked MW brand, than resort to childish coloured crap and comedy melee weapons we've seen before.

  5. Well, first time Deadline Day was exciting again. Although, the really good deals never materialised. I expected Spurs and Man Utd to come out on top and at one stage Spurs were there but somehow managed to lose the best deals. Shame that. Everton making big moves although getting Iwobi instead of Zaha for 40 odd million seems a weird one. Weirdly I know think Arsenal look alright mainly because everyone else didn't do well. On a personal note, 1 in 1 out for Blackburn. Was really surreal and odd to hear we'd loaned Charlie Mulgrew, Club Captain to Wigan (of all teams). But it kinda makes sense as he wasn't going to be played as much and has made some howlers last year, which he continued to do on the first game of the season.

    No Man's Sky

I see a lot of love for Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen on here... how about No Man's Sky? I've been putting a lot of time into it, and the Beyond update is coming a week today. That'll add VR support (I don't have VR though) and apparently full-on MMO style multiplayer where you can randomly bump into people, instead of the lobby system from before. So... who else on here has No Man's Sky?

  7. Your best bet Dave would be to buy it on PC and use a PS4/Xbox controller if you wanted to play with other PS4 friends/users plus the PC crowd if you use a M+K. You get best of both worlds that way. If you have a first gen PS4 but half decent PC, I'd definitely go for the latter as the old consoles of this gen may struggle to run it and wont really do the game justice visually. Old gen support is waning badly now too. If you have a Pro tho, that would be fine.

  9. The pre-order beta is only two days long before the open beta which lasts another couple of days. A week later we then get another beta phase for all formats. This is also an open beta as well as a pre-order one beforehand. It's not bad this year as you don't have to throw your money at Activision just to try it or scramble around to get a free code.

  12. I'm kinda the same although I think Borderlands 3 looks pretty amazing, with this going to Epic and Randy Pitchford being an utter dick, it'll be an easy pass. Take Two's behaviour now is the icing on the cake I wont be eating.

  13. SoH miniboss challenge is getting scaled down from next Tuesday , will be 50 kills with final boss counting as 5. Makes me happy as I’ve been away for all of SoH so far so nice I haven’t had to suffer the 100 miniboss kill requirement !

    Hello

To be honest, never really got into Gran Turismo, I do prefer an arcade style racer to be fair.....although I was really into DriveClub and do enjoy F1 FPS wise, mostly Overwatch and BFv....although the latter has turned into utter tripe so hopefully CoD can bring it back this year, everything looks good so far 😄 Also, I'm in the UK, near Oxford and thanks for the welcomes

  22. I got to be somebody's hero today. Just a right place/right time thing but I was glad to be there to help. I kicked up a pursuit of a clown car full of robbery suspects. 5 were apprehended at the termination point, more fled. Seriously, clown car shenanigans. What I should have done is stay at the termination point and do sergeant-y stuff. What I did was snatch up my rifle and go with K9 because I'm fucking retarded and can't help myself. As we were walking over an overpass the K9 handler turned his head right and the dog jumped left...right over the barricade and into empty space. I saw the dog jump but before I could even open my mouth it as gone. Luckily the handler kept the end of the leash wrapped around his wrist. The weight of the dog jerked him up against the barricade and he was off balance. I was able to run up and grab the leash as well and help hoist the dog back up onto the overpass. I don't know if the dog would have survived the drop but the handler said even if he had he'd probably have to be retired. He offered to buy me dinner at whatever I deemed to be my favorite restaurant but I told him snag my outstanding suspects and we'd be even. Two bit bad guys later I think we're good to go. The termination point was just short of the county line and we had multiple agencies respond. I've never seen a better example of teamwork in law enforcement. Us, park rangers, two sheriff's departments, two neighboring districts, three dog handlers, and investigations all responded and took care of business. I'm pretty damned proud of the lot.
