I work as a Personal Assistant and Support Worker for a Social Worker. It's a unique experience. Without being a social work student you're getting a first hand look at everything, whilst contributing in a small part. My primary role however is to provide support for a Social Worker who is dual impaired in eyesight and hearing. Unfortunately, my job is up in a couple of years and I can choose to either forge a new working relationship with another client, which will prove difficult or my ideal plan of turning Twitch streaming into an income of some form. I just wanted to say this explains why you're all such a well rounded bunch of people. You all do really interesting, worthwhile and essential jobs here.

I think tactically it was a bad team selection for Liverpool. Klopp should have looked at how Mane and Salah played on the weekend, they are both in poor form right now. Sturridge should've played the full 90, partnered with Shaquiri up front. As for Tottenham, I don't think there was anything they could do. They need to make a few signings in January to say the least.

Emulation *shudders* [emoji23] Everyone that knows me here would say I'm just a sucker for original and physical stuff rather than emulators. There isn't really anything wrong with them, I just find there's far more nostalgia and feel good that comes out of a night of retro gaming when I'm blowing the cartridge free of dust and putting it into my consoles. If there was a way of getting us altogether to play my old consoles I'd do it in a heartbeat. Next best option is our trip to Manchester's Arcade Club in November [emoji16]

How are you finding CodeAcademy mate? I've been doing my course on Udemy but seen a few people online (Instagram and also someone on my estate) who've used Treehouse and gone from zero to Front End Developer in 6-9 months and into a job. It is £20 p/m though and then £199 p/m if you want a 'TechDegree'

I didn't watch either game but its two bad results for the English clubs - Spurs weren't expected to win and the Inter defeat was crucial but allowing Barcelona to get 3 points could prove critical. Need back to back wins against PSV and then beat Inter at home to really turn it around. Also a damaging result for Liverpool by not getting anything from the game and allowing Napoli 3pts in what will be a very tight group. Back to back wins would be ideal against Red Star and then a point against either PSG away or Napoli at home should be enough.

I'm not sure if I'll make any improvements on mine. This track is a beast and everything has to be pin point perfect. I'll continue to try as this car feels extremely good round this track.

I'd be down for doing some as I really like PvP it's just at the moment im pretty much limited to weekends, im not too fussed about the gun but a challenge is a challenge and I do like my trust. Any help I can give hit me up.

Trust is the way to go, it’s a great hand cannon in PvP . Zen moment works pretty well for me. Got all my hand cannon kills with it and now getting most of my solar kills with it.

It sure is addictive, I only planned to do a few laps and end up usually doing more like 20. For the number if laps you’ve done, I think 2:12 is good. I’m faster but I’ve now probably done 60ish laps in total. Also not being half asleep might help with the consistency also I generally find I struggle to go faster and eventually set a messy but faster lap. Then manage to run the faster time with a cleaner lap but struggle to then go faster. Then set s messy but faster lap. Rinse and repeat. The Lambo is certainly easier than the McLaren when it comes to braking in to T1 and getting out the hairpin. I’m still not sure the McLaren is actually faster over a lap but it may edge it slightly. I think I’ll give the Lambo another go, see if I can get it closer to the time I set with the McLaren.

Didn't get the Web designer now either, guy was a bit of a deluded idiot tbh. Had the 'interview' in his dining room with dogs running around barking, jumping up etc. Said he was expecting a portfolio of websites I had designed (if I could do that, I'd have my own business or be going for a full time role, not an apprenticeship to LEARN). Anyway, still waiting to hear back from the other 2 roles who've been sent my CV by the apprenticeship provider so fingers crossed. Bit disheartening though

I’m quite enjoying this game although I really, really struggle to defend myself even against AI on the "professional" difficulty. FUT is interesting this year as it seems they are leaning more towards rewarding the ppl who put time into playing divisions and squad battles. Pro clubs is loads of fun, not had too many issues with people crossing the ball in, although that’s what everyone tries. 30 yard screamers are rare, but will happen. All in all, I like it. (Pro tip for FUT: Buy Aubameyang and Davinson Sanchez)

I work at a company that produce equipment used by the utilities sector. I'm responsible for the development of the desktop software that's used to monitor and archive records of the work done by the equipment, so a lot of it is looking at what features in the software I can implement to make the end-users life easier. Just recently added on a module that uses a database to store the information (rather than file based as the rest of the program). Significantly quicker and easier to fetch the info, and will allow for the user to have custom filters (queuries). Main languages used are C# (WPF) and SQL (SQLite databases). Also work with Python for some other bits and bobs (small internal scripts and programs). Considering I only started using the above languages just over a year and a half ago, I'm surprised just how well and fast I took to them. Previous experience was with C/C++, but with the UI stuff in C# WPF, and the industry standard of 'seperating' the background logic from the foreground UI, it was quite a bit different. Vastly more exciting as a day-to-day job than my previous which was literally copy and pasting code for 5 years....

I've watched quite a few matches of the final game and it looks like they've toned down a lot of the erratic mechanics that were present in the beta and demo. The ball physics don't look quite as farcical either. The shooting still needs to be nerfed - some dude playing a career as Macclesfield with youth players only in his team managed to score a string of blinding goals and so did the AI. If they tone that down then we'll be getting closer to a reasonable representation of football. PES is still way ahead in gameplay, ball physics and animations for me but the very outdated presentation and pathetic AI is severely dragging down that brand where they desperately need to overhaul that as much as they have the gameplay in recent years. If only there was a game with FIFA's authenticity and PES's gameplay....

I work for Michelin. I’m in quality. I inspect tires. Well not so much inspecting now as I babysit 15 grown adults since taking this new position a few months ago. Been there 12 years now. Eighteen more until I can retire 😩

I'm an admin assistant in a psychology office that specializes in treating veterans, those still serving, RCMP, ambulance and police dispatch, and first responders. Two of the three psychologists I work for also still have independent practice clients that don't fall within those parameters. We're less than a year old, so we're still ironing out some kinks and getting some things going, but we've had a good response so far. I majored in psychology in university and then went to college for administration, so this job is really the best of both worlds for me. Previously I worked for a hospital as a clinical secretary in an off-site hemodialysis unit for 5 years and did a 1 year stint in their Privacy and Access office. That was a stressful year of intense impostor syndrome, but I learned some interesting things that I've brought to my current job.

I am a Civil Servant, specifically within the Insolvency Service. It is hard to describe my job as it is basically to support all the other teams within the Department that I work. Mostly it revolves around providing figures and statistical analysis to whomever wants or needs it, some low level upkeep of our payments system, helping people external to us upload files to us (it is very specific data with tight validation rules so it's often wrong). However it extends wider than that to a sort of Jack of all trades and in my time I've paid people money, answered general queries, drafted letters in response to complaints, written to MP's, advised on legislative matters, created and presented training to other staff on things from Excel to writing SQL, TUPE to Employee Status. The pay is terrible, like truely utterly terrible, but everyday is different and most days a challenge as I'm always being asked to do something or for something that I've not done before.

(Hopefully) done with all that work cr@p! Took early retirement 2 years ago almost to the day. Used to be a plumbing estimating and design engineer but now I’m part of the green keeping team at my bowls club. No grand kids yet and Mrs P still works part time so works well for a bit of daytime gaming as well! 👍 Anyone who says retirement is boring is talking out of their jacksie ....I mean, every day is a bank holiday, what’snot to love? 😂😂 Right, let’s get the ol’ PS4 fired up.......

I'm the Independent Living Specialist at a group home for young men who are about to be out on their own. I teach them IL skills like; creating a resume, interviewing tips, how to open a bank account, grocery shopping, budgeting, etc. Masters in Pyschology and Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Been in this field for 11 years. Via the FG App
