I wish they would go back to BO1 -2-3 and bring back all the maps, even the non-DLC ones would be amazing. Lack of a campaign makes me think there is plenty of room / time, and some of those maps were amazing.

Got to remember that the Division is in its third year and most felt like it was a massive let down until the year two updates that made it a ton better. Warframe is a different animal. Has some great,I mean really great things in it now. Key word is now. This is a game that’s been in development for over five years. They have figured out what works for them and continue to improve on it. However when Jason and I started playing it that wasn’t the case. It was fun yes but was lacking most of what people love about it now. There was no lore,no direction. RNG wa fucking horrible. The grind was absolutely horrible. I mean hours and hours grinding for a helmet to drop or even longer to get a mod that you wanted. I by no means am forgiving or forgetting what bungie has done with D2. I have been probably their biggest critic. However it’s a game that I know I can put in play for a hour or five and enjoy every minute of it. What makes it even better is when we do it together.

Steampunk has a very distinctive style especially in regards to the clothing. The vibe is very much vintage sci-fi with an historical twist. I hope character customisation lets me play as this guy

Not completely true. I have became extremely casual with this game. Playing maybe five hours a week. I’m still miles away from max level. Haven’t completed many of the quest. I was always one one of the fastest to max level and completing quest. It’s a matter of opinion at the amount of content and worth in the dlc.

Yep, it's not even nostalgia that makes those games good - they are genuinely excellent titles that are still incredibly enjoyable today. No SBMM or competitive bullshit on shoebox sized 3 lane maps - just pure varied fun despite some annoying elements. You don't need an over the top story, Hollywood actors or cartoony gimmicks to make a great experience yet these developers don't seem to understand that. I cannot believe they aren't doing a modern day Battlefield 5 - what a wasted opportunity. This could've put COD to bed entirely with sheer ambition and really push the Frostbite engine to its maximum potential. I can't recall anyone asking for a WW2 shooter in the BF community and this industry is saturated with World War themed games. Another developer that's completely out of touch with its very own players and the wishes of the wider FPS community.

You need more than just me to answer this but from an objective and factual viewpoint, there is more content and stuff to find and complete in Warmind. The level and Power grind is more akin to what we'd expect and Mars is possibly the best planet to explore stuff on. For me, its not huge changes (that's September) but 4 weeks in, I have plenty to do, 2 other characters to work on, raids and activities to learn and complete, guns to find, masterwork and challenges to complete. There's also July 17 free update drop to look forward to. I have plenty of fun stuff to play in Destiny til September. That's the key though - its fun again.

That's been the problem in this franchise for so many years now. They thought competitive was the way forward (along with wallrunning and outer space) when 99% of users are casual and not even a nosedive in sales and player counts couldn't hit home that this isn't what people wanted. The brand has failed miserably with the competitive focus so instead of writing it off; they've copied every other game in the last few years in one last ditch attempt but it will be the same old story I think; only this time, the competitive-heavy format will put people off entirely from purchasing. The series cannot get a foothold in the eSport arena and it makes very limited revenue from streams which is why nobody plays it. How hard is it to make a military-themed 6v6 FPS with boots on the ground with real weapons, equipment and vehicles FFS without having to add farcical features such as superhero abilities, knee sliding, OP weapons and cartoony gadgets. I have spent more money on Warframe that I will ever spend on Destiny unless they kick their prices sky high 😂 That said, I still play Warframe from time to time. 3 years since it came out? On topic: I have gotten my money's worth from D2 and then some. And I never got into D1, deleted it at level 13 or something, so go figure 😄

I just watched dattos video, I don't need to watch loads of videos as they're all pretty much the same but he seems more concise. My thoughts are I like what I saw tbh, I know there are other games out there but they really don't interest me, fps type easy to jump into is where my interest lies and like @GazzaGarratt Id like to see this game get turned around. I like the idea of the separate tracking age of triumph type stuff I gives me something to aim for and I can see where my time goes easily and feeds my challenge fix. Ive also just run one guardian but im considering moving upto 2 after what I heard. I'd love it if bungie allowed you to skip the story after running it once or maybe shortcutting it a little to maybe just unlock sub classes. I know there's a cost involved but I've found even in its present state I've got value for money, so I'll definitely be jumping on this and hoping there's enough of us to start running regular stuff.

Tried ‘em both....Division left me cold...Warframe was ok for a few levels but was a bit too complicated for the few brain cells I have left working. After seeing the latest CoD comments and trailers on here, I shall probably give BO a wide berth as well. Perhaps we could say Destiny is the opium of the people

The thing about Destiny vs Warframe vs Division for folks is this: Destiny has zero depth, all you need to do is find a gun you like, and get your Light Level as high as possible. In d2 you can look at anyone else in the open world, see their LL and you will know what that person can and cannot do in the game. Warframe has so much to keep track of that its actually daunting. No one is exactly the same, ever, fucking EVER in the game. There are 851 mods in the game, each frame has 10 (i think), each weapon has another 8 (maybe 10? its not equal), each companion (pet) also has another 10. There is so much customization for the player to think/ worry about that spreadsheets exist Now these are two extremes of the game depth scale, rain puddle (destiny) to Marianas trench (Warframe). Division lies somewhere in the middle. Plenty of build options, plenty of weapon mods, plenty of "supers/ equipment", so that you don't really know what another player is capable of until you see them in action for 20 or so minutes. (some times not even then). That being said though, I don't think you, Lee, will like either game. Which is fine, but like Rob said, we need to be really honest here with enthusiasm and our willingness to forgive Bungie for fucking all of us over the last months. The company that brought us Halo is gone, it has been replaced by an activision clone, that is also now taking money from a chinese company (NetEase) in the form of $100 Million to explore new gaming options...... I can theorize what that means, but i dont think I should. I will leave that to you guys

The Division has almost triple the content D2 has with monthly events that are free. Division and Warframe are what Destiny as a franchise could have been. Warframe especially is the huge comparison that dismantles the Destiny vision. 100%, we now know for a fact you don't touch a Destiny game until about 15 months in. Saying otherwise is lying to yourself.

Lol. You forgiven not much then. Some things you pulled out I can understand and fully support, guided games for an example. Others are just your opinion. Many games won't kill off major NPCs and why should they. Makes it interesting to a degree but I actually enjoy stopping at Cayde every now and again and hearing the dribble he says. He's funny. This will boil down to whether or not you hold the grudge on how poor the game was for many months. I was dissapointed to say the least and the quick answer is if you don't like what they did, just don't play it anymore. However, the only reason I keep in discussions like this is because they are just games, not lives. At the same time, I would love it if my friends picked this game back up again. I wouldn't have known about FG without Destiny, full stop. Yeah, sometimes we dont get our moneys worth. Sometimes we do. The Destiny universe is engaging for me and people that look at the next payment as 'we should get it for free' are just deluded. We haven't got a comparison game out there right now, otherwise we'd be playing the shit out of it so whatever games are out there I'd argue they can't compare to Destiny. That's why imo that Bungie were let off the hook big time as there wasn't a big enough game this year to fill the void of shooting Cabal in the face over and over.

Wait until the end of year 2, when its on sale for really cheap. Games that are more deserving of your time: assassins creed origins + season Pass Horizon zero dawn + season pass witcher 3 + season pass Far cry 5 (IDK about the season pass yet) GTA 5 (just off the top of my head)

the thing with Destiny that you have to consider when it comes to playing or not is this: In its present state has bungie earned not only your money, but also your time. For me, its a resounding NO. Wall of text, dont bother reading if you rush to gobble bungie dick if you dont have time

After that stream I am hyped no end! Finally we have geniune content and QoL changes to look forward to!!

I played through Mw1, MW2, please let this franchise die already,, and Mw3 a bit over the last few weeks. Maybe its because I am old, but until they go back to that type of campaign, and multiplayer, then I am done with CoD. I managed to pick up Infinite Warfare, and WW2 at Christmas time for about 20$, and the MP side of things just isn't fun anymore. I don't enjoy the esports bullshit, or the catering to that 1% that happens with Activision. Back to trying to beat Demons souls I guess.

Is there a fan in the background, it sounds like there’s an external hum from somewhere. Are you using a separate mic to your headset? If it’s not directional, then it could pick up any noise in the room. I had this problem with mine, it wasn’t so sensitive it was picking up my thoughts 😄 Like Dave says, it does sound slightly tinny and the balance between game audio and your voice is good. 👍
