The ironic thing is that it’s called boundary, which is probably something they’ve overstepped.

I wish they would go back to BO1 -2-3 and bring back all the maps, even the non-DLC ones would be amazing. Lack of a campaign makes me think there is plenty of room / time, and some of those maps were amazing.

Got to remember that the Division is in its third year and most felt like it was a massive let down until the year two updates that made it a ton better. Warframe is a different animal. Has some great,I mean really great things in it now. Key word is now. This is a game that’s been in development for over five years. They have figured out what works for them and continue to improve on it. However when Jason and I started playing it that wasn’t the case. It was fun yes but was lacking most of what people love about it now. There was no lore,no direction. RNG wa fucking horrible. The grind was absolutely horrible. I mean hours and hours grinding for a helmet to drop or even longer to get a mod that you wanted. I by no means am forgiving or forgetting what bungie has done with D2. I have been probably their biggest critic. However it’s a game that I know I can put in play for a hour or five and enjoy every minute of it. What makes it even better is when we do it together.

Steampunk has a very distinctive style especially in regards to the clothing. The vibe is very much vintage sci-fi with an historical twist. I hope character customisation lets me play as this guy

Not completely true. I have became extremely casual with this game. Playing maybe five hours a week. I’m still miles away from max level. Haven’t completed many of the quest. I was always one one of the fastest to max level and completing quest. It’s a matter of opinion at the amount of content and worth in the dlc.

Yep, it's not even nostalgia that makes those games good - they are genuinely excellent titles that are still incredibly enjoyable today. No SBMM or competitive bullshit on shoebox sized 3 lane maps - just pure varied fun despite some annoying elements. You don't need an over the top story, Hollywood actors or cartoony gimmicks to make a great experience yet these developers don't seem to understand that. I cannot believe they aren't doing a modern day Battlefield 5 - what a wasted opportunity. This could've put COD to bed entirely with sheer ambition and really push the Frostbite engine to its maximum potential. I can't recall anyone asking for a WW2 shooter in the BF community and this industry is saturated with World War themed games. Another developer that's completely out of touch with its very own players and the wishes of the wider FPS community.

You need more than just me to answer this but from an objective and factual viewpoint, there is more content and stuff to find and complete in Warmind. The level and Power grind is more akin to what we'd expect and Mars is possibly the best planet to explore stuff on. For me, its not huge changes (that's September) but 4 weeks in, I have plenty to do, 2 other characters to work on, raids and activities to learn and complete, guns to find, masterwork and challenges to complete. There's also July 17 free update drop to look forward to. I have plenty of fun stuff to play in Destiny til September. That's the key though - its fun again.

That's been the problem in this franchise for so many years now. They thought competitive was the way forward (along with wallrunning and outer space) when 99% of users are casual and not even a nosedive in sales and player counts couldn't hit home that this isn't what people wanted. The brand has failed miserably with the competitive focus so instead of writing it off; they've copied every other game in the last few years in one last ditch attempt but it will be the same old story I think; only this time, the competitive-heavy format will put people off entirely from purchasing. The series cannot get a foothold in the eSport arena and it makes very limited revenue from streams which is why nobody plays it. How hard is it to make a military-themed 6v6 FPS with boots on the ground with real weapons, equipment and vehicles FFS without having to add farcical features such as superhero abilities, knee sliding, OP weapons and cartoony gadgets. The thing about Destiny vs Warframe vs Division for folks is this: Destiny has zero depth, all you need to do is find a gun you like, and get your Light Level as high as possible. In d2 you can look at anyone else in the open world, see their LL and you will know what that person can and cannot do in the game. Warframe has so much to keep track of that its actually daunting. No one is exactly the same, ever, fucking EVER in the game. There are 851 mods in the game, each frame has 10 (i think), each weapon has another 8 (maybe 10? its not equal), each companion (pet) also has another 10. There is so much customization for the player to think/ worry about that spreadsheets exist Now these are two extremes of the game depth scale, rain puddle (destiny) to Marianas trench (Warframe). Division lies somewhere in the middle. Plenty of build options, plenty of weapon mods, plenty of "supers/ equipment", so that you don't really know what another player is capable of until you see them in action for 20 or so minutes. (some times not even then). That being said though, I don't think you, Lee, will like either game. Which is fine, but like Rob said, we need to be really honest here with enthusiasm and our willingness to forgive Bungie for fucking all of us over the last months. The company that brought us Halo is gone, it has been replaced by an activision clone, that is also now taking money from a chinese company (NetEase) in the form of $100 Million to explore new gaming options...... I can theorize what that means, but i dont think I should. I will leave that to you guys

Yeah, clearly I enjoy the game Phil [emoji23] at least i know there's some proper closet gamers who don't voice their opinions but do love the game for what its worth. I just find it really interesting that Destiny feels like it pulls more players into their Universe than Division or Warframe does. Maybe a check on the numbers playing it may help understand where it sits now. Back to the actual content in September, its difficult not to get excited if you enjoy the world of Destiny.

Don't buy the answer of Henderson in defence. Just keep defenders in defence. I think Walker is quick to cover most forwards.

the thing with Destiny that you have to consider when it comes to playing or not is this: In its present state has bungie earned not only your money, but also your time. For me, its a resounding NO. Wall of text, dont bother reading if you rush to gobble bungie dick if you dont have time

Yea, BF was best when it was at least close to present day. Larger more interesting MP maps, better gun customization, classes for gods sake! Not to mention the campaign always felt better.

From a non-expert viewpoint....good balance between game audio and your voice...there’s a slight ‘tinniness’ to your voice which may be your mic...apart from that sounds ok but I only listened to the first few minutes

In D1 we had no problem with it so I don't get the issue. The principle of an allegiance is you ally with a faction. Plus you're in the minority having 3 characters. Its okay to do it, but I just don't agree with doing 2nd and 3rd characters for extra drops. No doubt I'll miss out on something but people will start looking unique again. Its better you have to make a choice than it just given to you over time. The idea of having to grind for a week is great. Gives some incentive back in the game and we've all been moaning that we need something to do and play for. I wouldn't worry about whats on offer. I'll bet a tenner on most of this stuff won't be locked to seasons. They wouldn't do that for Exotic Ornaments and Catalysts.
