You can now download the latest alpha release for 7 Days to Die. They brought it out pretty soon after releasing their testing bed for it, only a select few were able to play that. If you would like to play Alpha 16, right click on the game inside of steam and select properties. Then click on the BETAS tab and choose latest_experimental - Unstable build. Happy surviving!

A thread for Rail stuff. I did start playing about with rails, but it was more a test. If we decide on how it will look, I'm happy to start building.

This follows the ridiculously good Wolfenstein: The New Order in 2014 so it has a tall act to follow. This time, the year is 1961, and protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz is back in the US to help the American resistance. By the trailer it looks to follow a similar pattern, having to make a critical gut-wrenching choice to dictate which way the game takes you through the story. The last few minutes shows some pretty decent gameplay and kills, especially with the automatic shotgun (that what it looked like). Automatic purchase based on the first installment. Really slick looking sequel. It’s being released on October 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

We couldn't on the same server It would have to be a different server. The cost of running it would be lower, and honestly I would use the same host as they are pretty good. Personally IDC, but I don't know how much others would want this. Someone should start a poll or something

I agree with Tommy as well. Also, I don't think we have that many XB players on FG at the moment, we're mainly PS4?

I can toss a few together with explanations about why I did what I did in the build tonight.

Other than the backup and Restore, this took all of about 30 minutes. Which was mostly getting the OS onto the new drive. Swapping the HDD was so flippin easy its not even funny.

We need to start with a design idea I'd imagine, so we know which materials to gather. Any examples out there that you like?

But after that its going to come down to individuals working their asses off Having done a few projects on this scale in the past, I would say we need to set up a few things before the actual building. We need a resource gathering group. A Mining group to clear out the build areas A design group So there will be overlap here. We will also need a central rail-yard to store all the materials for building supplies of which we will need a massive amount. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here are a few things to think about. You will want 2 rails. One for leaving, and one for entering. Monsters will NOT spawn on half slabs or rails. If a monster is hit by a minecart, it will die, but it can also eject the rider from the minecart, and can potentially kill them So I recommend using half slabs as walkways along the rail line. Not to mention proper lighting, fencing, and gating. If you want to double your ore count, we will need Crushers and Furnaces from the Metallurgy mod. Crushers take ore, and grind it into 2 powder, which will then give us 2 ingots http://metallurgy-4.wikia.com/wiki/Crusher Whatever design you all want to do should be voted on and then use for each branchline. For this,I recommend everyone going into creative mode and designing a space like this: wall | walk | rail | space | rail | walk | wall Then post screenshots here Mining for this will take forever. Seriously, even in creative mode this will take weeks. I think we should all stick to survival mode for this though. It will make it feel more like an accomplishment. Lastly, I think we should also try to map this out on the Dynmap. Take a screenshot of it, and then just draw redlines everywhere that we want something. If that makes sense

What about Twitch? Is that something that can be integrated? Or would anyone even be interested in that at all?

I'd really like to get involved with the railway stuff. Can we try to arrange a time that a decent number of us can get on? It's lovely to log on to find things built, but I can't build in the spawn area and I have no idea what the plans are. I'll start a rail thread too.

Thanks for sharing @J4MES OX4D. Looks undewhelming and I expect to feel underwhelmed when I hear about it officially. Its too early to be thinking of the next console, I don't see a big jump in most statistics to be worth going for it anytime soon.

Leave it, and harvest fruit when it grows for free food Also, here is a guide for Metallurgy
