    Arcade Sticks

I miss beat em ups. What I don't miss is getting battered though by a player that has an arcade stick. I've always wondered how they perform and if there is any you should look out for any as playing a few online fights are pretty quick and handy to do outside of social MP times. Mad Catz PS4 SFV Arcade Fightstick TE S+ EU The above controller was something in the sale recently (not anymore) but I was reluctant to buy it because im not sure how effective they are. Also, if people think there are any good ones out there it'd be good to see them.

  6. A new kit could help turn your Raspberry Pi into a Linux desktop. The Pi Desktop kit from Premier Farnell -- the largest manufacturer of the Raspberry Pi -- includes an add-on board containing: an mSATA interface, an intelligent power controller (plus real-time-clock and battery); a heat sink; a USB adapter (Micro-Type A); spacers and screws -- and the box to keep it all in. The company said the kit can help Raspberry Pi fans turn the board into a Pi into a "fully featured Linux-based desktop" computer "within minutes" which can then be connected to a display via the HDMI interface. Premier Farnell said that, when combined with a Raspberry Pi, the £39.99 Pi Desktop provides users with "all the functionality they would expect from a standard PC", although the Raspberry Pi 3, a solid-state drive and a camera also need to be bought separately -- all of which is going to push the price up. According to Premier Farnell, using an SSD makes the system highly robust; booting the Raspberry Pi directly from the SSD also makes for a faster startup. Plenty of projects aim to turn the Raspberry Pi into a desktop, including the Pi Top. You won't get the performance you'd expect from a high-end laptop, but according to TechRepublic's tests it's possible to get work done on a Raspberry Pi-powered PC -- so long as you're willing to make a few compromises http://www.zdnet.com/article/pi-desktop-this-kit-turns-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-linux-desktop/#ftag=RSSbaffb68

  8. Just watched it now Chris and that's a really good video. It actualy makes me realise and possibly others how extremely good Destiny 1 is. People may have moaned about this and that from time to time but the true test to any game is what people say when they want the next one. The experience that Destiny 1 left with you was experiences you'll never forget. Moments you made with your now lifelong friends. Because of this game it brought people together. That's why I believe they have focused on a sizeable step forward but not a leap into the unknown. They've built on the fact that the amount of people that enjoyed grinding PvE (the largest %) will get more content on the similar lines. They built on the largest success more than other elements which is the social side of Destiny. No other current console game does this. That's why I'm super excited for Destiny 2 because it will build more exciting memories for all of us. With our friends. With new friends. And you don't have to be ultra-competitive to do this either. It has its spot in the corner with the PvP side (eventually). Enjoying and achieving goals is what we all do. The fact you can enjoy doing this with your mates is the number 1 reason why I love this game.

  10. I want to sort the vault by "burn", "type", and "light level" I want them to take the weapon customization that BF3-4 had and enable it. There is absolutely no reason every sight/ scope shouldn't be available on every weapon. Not to mention barrell type, suppressors, laser sights, etc.... Drop gimmicky shit like Sparrow League, and focus on the damned story. Sure Racing is fun, but it doesn't add anything to the story. Dedicated Servers Private servers for clans.

  15. So for certain games I am going to totally agree with you. The biggest time I have ever noticed it was in Rainbow 6 this week when I hoped in with Lee. I'm a solid player at the game but never been to the level of "Neo" from the Matrix. However, going back to console I felt like I could see each movement happening in slow motion. I went 17-5 in that game with him. I do admit that with some games the 4k and 60 FPS benchmark can make me feel almost motion sickness. It's just a silly limitation that should not be put on consoles. Pro and Scorpio are coming out and you are telling me the games will be in 4k but 30 fps? That's like buying a Lambo that only has a 2 speed transmission.

  17. For me, MW2 was the peak of my gaming career. I had that game dialled in in a way I've never been able to achieve again. I'd love to go back to that style of COD. I agree about snipers. A sniper rifle cannot be used effectively stood up. It takes minutes to line up a shot. The recoil should be severe, if you miss, you give away your position and in all likelihood, die. Like the situation in rainbow six now, Glaz is being used to clear rooms with a thermal scope and smoke. It's a completely unnatural scenario for a sniper to be in. Ditch quickscoping. Not a big fan of killstreaks that require no input. I fucking loved an AC-130 on Wasteland.

  18. Simply - MW2 minus One Man Army and quick scoping. Lane maps - all the boost jumping opened up the maps to many different ways to move around but going back to boots on the ground I would love to see the maps go back to the lane style maps. For me, getting shot in the back because of the 5 different places you can be seen from, is one of the most frustrating things. Remove quick scoping - CoD for a long time has had quick scoping and there has been a few false starts of removing it but no-one has been brave enough to remove and it keep it out. I understand the need for some aim assist but if you want to fire a sniper you should have to fully scope in. OHK nerf - Almost all snipers are OHK irrespective of where they hit you which needs removing in my opinion. Headshot and maybe torso hits should be OHK but no way should getting shot in the toe be a OHK. Recoil - they just need to add some! The guns should not be laser accurate and there should be some skill in controlling the recoil. Fix multiplayer latency issues - Up there with being shot in the back is being insta-killed. I think everyone has experience this at some point of walk round the corner and die before you can react yet the kill cam shows you walk round the corner, enemy aims, sprays around a bit and kills you. I don't think dedicated servers are the holy grail to fix all problems but it should improve things greatly. Even if they don't want to go that far then go back to MW2 style - yes the host had an advantage but everyone else was equal. I'd even accept tighter geographic limits - I used to play regularly with someone with a netduma so they could limit to only UK players and the difference was night and day. Good kill streaks - it seems of recent years the kill streaks have seen nerfs. Presumably to not have them so OP that it stops being 'fun' and everyone quits. However the higher kills streaks should be OP! If you have managed to get a 12, 15, 20 etc. player kill streak then you are dominating the other team anyway so OP killstreaks wont change much. The NUKE! - Nothing better than hitting that 25 player kill streak and calling in that nuke. Claymores - I miss them I also miss scavenger resupplying them too so you could plant many of them. That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure there are other things too.

  20. Am I the only person who generally doesn't notice the difference? A side by side comparison, switching from 60 to 30fps or even if I concentrate on it etc. then I can see the difference. However, once it actually comes to playing the game and my mind is more heavily focused on oh god! don't die! don't die! then I really don't notice. On the subect of fps, if due to the size of the level, draw distance, lighting and particle effects etc. they can't hit a constant 60fps I'd much rather have a fixed 30fps as vary frame rate is much more noticable. Not that Bungie managed that in D1 either but here's hoping.

  22. Gatekeeper can be much harder than you realise. It took us a number of trys to get put him the oracles down and finish the section as we kept losing a few too many wipes to make the last point of saving the middle conflux. A bubble and using a pillar up top in the first portal is significant to help you through it as you need to take minotaurs down so you can focus on gatekeeper in portal 1. The harpies were a right pain but I think the run helped us all as we are abit rusty. The final run blown him away in to solid rotations. Great to see @Plumbers Crack get a Corrective Measure and @Sennex get a VoC. Good job guys.

  23. Nice work mate, if I'm honest it geniunely feels a better game when you play the game via the cartridge rather than an updated suped up version of it. Even just playing with the old Mega Drive controllers gives that warmthness to this game that you can't get from new controllers.

  25. Because he wants to complain about not having 60fps. Personally i could less about 60fps one of the things that made Destiny so good was the gun play. The movement was fluid. Yes going from 60 to 30 felt weird for a bit. I would like dedicated servers more than 60fps. I want the guest like when TTK came out. There was a lot more to do. I don't mind grinding out the quest if I know there's something worthy at the end. Just no time gated quest. I would like more customizable gear. Not just adding chroma. Make the weapons memorable again. And get rid of the challenge modes for raids. I have plenty more and I'll come back to it
