  1. Which awesome, intelligent, hilarious member made that?In relation to the thread: 1. I've been a part of this community since I was 14 (I'm 18 now). During this period I've had to put up with a lot of bullshit IRL, that I think only 1 other member might be aware of. When I've been having a hard time I come here, not to post about it, simply to take my mind off things. We all deal with Enough BS in real life, so let's keep this sanctuary of ours clean from it. 2. We're all (mostly) mature here. If you can spot that a thread your involved in is turning ugly, just walk away. 3. Y'all are awesome. Let's keep it that way.

Expect a few to go away, and a few to be created. I am trying to work on predicting our growth patterns here and we have some subs that never get used (Minecraft is one) Also, I see some areas where we might better be able to help folks find things and what not. As always I am open to suggestions.

  3. Damn those tarts look good, been a long time since i've had a good old tart! I only like the jam ones, not the marmalade nonsense, fuck that with a cricket bat! In other news, the future is here I wasn't going to say anything about what's been going on here, as i don't think there's really anything more i can add but what i will say is this. I haven't been on many forums before but the ones i have been on have been nothing like this, like someone has already said, the fact we know each other by first names rather Wizardman3000 shows how close we are as a group. When people need help or advice on something, it seems, that they come here first. I know we all have our spats and our bad days where we can be dicks, everyone has them but the important thing is that we speak about it and try and clear the air. If someone's pissed you off/disappointed you so much that you think there's no way back then don't respond to their posts. You wouldn't go and hang out with someone you don't like in real life. At the end of the day we're all pretty fucking good mates here, i've made mates for life on this forum and i hope to continue to make more. Lets not forget how special this place is because lets be honest, it is.

  6. At this point I might be taking a pretty long break from FPS games in general and COD specifically (To a lesser extent BF) I just want honesty, and a willingness to deliver a bug free game. Its sad that its come to that, but the price of games is retarded and I just can't justify things like season passes that barely work, or the games that spawn them

  10. I thought all this shit was over with! The way I see it we are one big family, do we disagree and have arguments? Sure but what family doesn't? I had a disagreement with Scipio (Sorry if the spellings off) but it was like 2 lines back and forth then ended. Get over it like we did. I just had an argument with Glen11 over nothing and guess what, even though he's a massive helmet like everyone else on this forum, you guys are still my brothers (And Sam) and I enjoy reading all of your posts. Can't we just all brush it under the carpet and get on with our lives?

  11. Different types of gamers I’ve been meaning to start this topic for a while now, and with Doc playing The Last of Us, it has rekindled my interest. Different people prefer different types of games, obviously, let’s talk about the reasons why. Here are some benchmarks Entirely story driven: Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls Mostly story driven: The Last of Us, Uncharted 50/50 story/gameplay: Mass Effect, Fallout, Metal Gear Mostly gameplay: CoD, Bayonetta, God of War Entirely gameplay: Sports games, puzzle games (Tetris), Dark Souls Some folks prefer story driven games, others require good gameplay, still others demand both. Personally I like them all; I think there’s a place for them all, though I lean heavily in favor of story. I’d much rather choose between things I like and dislike, versus choose among things that are all samey same. When it comes to people like what they like, I have some theories. I think gamers can be lumped into two broad groups, those that ‘play’ games and those that ‘experience’ games. I’m not sure how else to describe it. I believe it has to do largely with how emotional of a person you are, or perhaps it’s imagination. Are you a dreamer or a realist, prone to wandering thoughts or locked into the here and now. Are you empathetic or indifferent towards others. How you are as a person in real life, I think characterizes the sorts of games you’re drawn to. I’m very emotional, very empathetic, and a romantic in every sense of the word. A good story driven game sucks me in and stirs all sorts of emotions, which to me, makes for fantastic entertainment. But if you’re less touchy feely, a story game may leave you bored. At the other end of the spectrum are gamer ‘athletes’. I think these people find enjoyment in the physical aspect of gaming. Hand eye coordination, speed, dexterity, reaction time. To them, playing a game is a precision sport. I’m thinking of MLG types. Or if not the physical aspect, then the competitive, where the game simply provides a forum to compete against others. Finally there’s the strategy aspect. Strategy is present in both story games and competitive games; sometimes it’s the entire point of the game (Portal). People who like strategy games are probably those who enjoy problem solving in real life. People who spend a lot of time in contemplation and who plan more so than get out there and do. So my question is, what type of personality do you have and can you see a relationship between that and the type of games you enjoy? Here’s a little diagram I made to help visually describe what I’m talking about. The circle is drawn around my most favoritist games.

  13. I'm admin on a popular forum, I've got quite a few good mates I see regularly from that forum but this forum has become my number one stopping point for its varying interesting topics and both international and age related view points. Ive never met anyone from here but find everyone I've played online with interesting, friendly and mostly funny

  14. I love your names for other teams Phil! It's mad to think that Costa scored about 10 goals more than Torres, Ba and Eto'o combined. One good season? i'm sure he'll have another one.....lets hope he doesnt though

  17. Arsenal have officially turned down the opportunity to resign Cesc Fabregas for £30m which paves the way for them getting Kimberley Kallstrom on a free transfer I think this is another silly move by Wenger and gives the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and Chesterfield the chance of nabbing him at a reduced price than the first refusal linked to his contract. I think they may live to regret that.

  19. It's ok to have disagreements, everyone does and i know every "Place" does. It's not okay to make a member feel unwelcome or unliked because they're feeling like shit. I've been a member of this mw2forums community since i was 18, im 22 now. I have changed and i have grown, I have gotten close to alot of you guys, and some i sorta drew away from(My fault) Either way, to me this place is a godsend. Life is hard so i come here to vent like many of you, don't like it? Balls. Don't comment on anything if you cant prevent yourself from making a condescending passive-aggressive remark. Ive made threads on here about being depressed, why? Well because i always thought this place was a run a way if you will. That my brothers will always have my back if i fall in real life. So i can feel normal again and bring myself out of whatever rut i was in. (advices here helped alot). So, whatever this is guys, dont let it turn into auptykville shitfest. Keep it civil and always be sensitive and open to other's feelings. Just because things may be going good for you dont mean they are to others here. You never know they can be in some nasty hell and be coming here to seek comfort. Just my 2 cents. This is all just an observation of what ive seen for the last few days. I dont know what was said to some members, but i do know this is how we need to be with everyone here if we wanna remain as a friendly community. I'm also like steve i stay out of those political threads because i know where they usually go, it's just my tactic the avoid the avoidable.

  24. mmmmmthis. nah pretty sure this has nothing to do with you, no worries. i'll be honest, i didn't see the issue here as much as everyone else, because as far as i know all the young trolls of religion who don't know how to be respectful haven't been 'round these parts for a long time. so . . . sure, sad that he had to start with a disclaimer, but ultimately i didn't think it was super necessary. not recently anyway. and if someone did try to start shit i hope Steve knows we'd have his back and acclimate the noob to the rules, right quick. this is really what i wanted to touch on briefly. when it comes to the typical subject matter and the typical people who discuss it (because no one will understand if i speak in code), perceived "sides" are established based on how those exchanges usually go. and it was once suggested that although people may not publicly support one particularly prolific poster, they actively agree with him privately. that's fine. that's also bullshit. if you feel like you can't agree publicly, it's because you fail at defending your arguments as much as whoever it is you blindly agree with . . . NOT because of any other user here. i guess i'm just saying don't kid yourself (not "you" Kent, but in general) by claiming you don't pipe up because we play too rough. bullshit. k that's it. i love everybody (who can defend their own arguments). be safe out there.

  25. The facts: I removed posts most of you didn't see, as they happened WHILE I was reading the thread in question. I flat out deleted them, and then made a post saying I removed them. Do NOT assume those posts were one sided. All parties involved were lashing out at each other Almost all parties involved were private messaged by me, stating reasons why. One party in particular was not messaged, by me, as the Thread was locked and moved to the Pit. I assumed the person that did that messaged the user. If the posts had stayed in the nature of what started it all, I wouldn't have removed a single one of them They did NOT. They grew ugly quickly, and for no reason.

  27. Here I will explain what I meant by my message in the shoutbox. This has been going on for a while: First, Dattebayo was the one who got was treated like crap because he felt depressed, wanted some sympathy and then left because he felt bullied. I think one person apologized to him about that. It still seems to be a "thing", though. After this, Steve expressed his beliefs in a thread, which he felt the need to instantly defend before there even were any replies... I don't think that's OK at all. I don't know what he expected or from who but it wasn't something good. In another thread, there was a lot of hostility against Jsin because he didn't agree on a subject. Now again, when Lee started one of his threads, which are controversial for a lot of people. Jsin lashed out at him because he didn't agree with it. These are just a few... Why can't we agree to disagree? If we don't like something, it's really easy to not spend time reading it and avoid adding negative or condescending replies that won't provide anything meaningful to the discussion. It seems like there are A LOT of tensions that have never been dealt with. I find this difficult to deal with for these simple reasons: Example 1. I'm not sure I can mention anything about person 2 or 3 to person 1, because if person 1 still has beef with those people, might make things awkward and I feel it will affect that friendship. 2. If I agree with or talk to person 2 about something, person 1 or 3 or might have the same reaction and things will get weird. 3. Etc. etc. 3. This is all difficult because person 1, 2 and 3 are all what I consider good friends (even though I never met you). I just don't know, this makes me very uncomfortable. I often feel that I must choose sides... Do I want to do that? No... Absolutely not. But what else is there to do? Should I leave and hope to find another place that is just like this? I don't think it's going to happen. The most similar place I've found to this community is Reddit but that place is largely anonymous with it's huge user base and it's difficult to really get to know anyone there. I honestly don't know why it's so difficult to apologize to each other and move on with our problems. It's really childish, to be honest. Especially when they the people on the receiving end are younger than you. We have long talked about being a "one-of-a-kind" community, where everyone is friendly and prepared to help each other out when someone needs it. We want to grow by having new members joining us, but that's not going to happen if we can't even solve our internal issues between veteran members on these forums. If we respond with hostility to topics we don't like or agree with, the result will be more anger and grief towards each other. If we then refuse to acknowledge about what's going on, it will only worsen it and lead to people distrusting each other and this community even more. Which in turn will lead to more members leaving and it will eventually wither and die. That's the truth. The general mood for me is that this place has been turning into what we all wanted to leave not too long ago.

    The Forest

New patch released today, quality, might have a go over the weekend. Only problem is that now 'bird on hand does not appear as often'. WTF? Hey Everyone, Here’s our first small update to ‘The Forest’. While we were working on the saving issues we also had a chance to fix a few other things. Here is the changelog for the “hotfix”: Saving at small shelter now works Fixed issue where camera would spin during plane crash if a controller was plugged in Fixed enemies sometimes disappearing after a few days Improved tree collision Fixed log cabin floating Fixed some leaves not connected to trunk Improved stuttering/performance Removed lights from blue cave creatures Fixed trees vanishing when exiting caves Fixed bug where cave sounds could be heard above ground Spelling mistake on shelter ‘warmth’ in book Improved collision in some cave areas Fixed missing cliff detail texture Ocean shouldn’t loose render texture on start Water visuals improved Fixed enemy head duplicating when picked up Fixed glitch where you could make infinite flare guns Fixed enemy head icon not centered, and showing an arm instead of a head Heads/arms and legs now go to inventory instead of being directly equipped Bird on hand does not appear as often

  30. I'm pretty sure Torres, Ba and Eto-o only scored 3 goals last year between them so does that mean Costa only scored 13?
    1 point
  31. Funnily enough, other than last season, Costa has been about as prolific as Torres. Ricky Lambert, now that's a striker. Not joking, I think he's class. Even if he plays for the bin dippers now. Costa's a gamble in my opinion. Plus we (Tottenham) were chasing after him a year or so ago... that's not a good omen for any footballer.

  37. There are worse places in the world than a few squabbles on here. IGN message boards One Direction fansite Miley Cyrus's twitter page Rihanna's instagram profile Nicky Minaj's fat fucking arse There will always be a bit of debate especially with anything regarding current affairs but everything has a habit of mending itself and people learn to forgive and forget. Let's all just get along and enjoy this

  38. If you're an asshole, I will ignore you. Just like "in real life", if you are an asshole, I will not voluntarily interact with you because life is too short to waste time on assholes. This solves 99.9% of Internet related drama. The other .1% can be solved by remembering the following little saying that's gotten me through many tough times: and don't become this guy:

  39. People are still talking about me? Well sh*t. I've been trying to not talk about my real-life at all, I've tried to forget completely about all what happened, what more do they want? :/ I would've liked an apology from more than that one person (and that apology really meant alot)....but I'd rather not rack the muck. Bring up old feelings. Force apologies if they don't really feel they need to give one. know what I mean? But on the subject of disagreements, this is a forum, it's kind of meant for active discussions, but it's unfortunate that people (including me) take things to heart and get upset. There's also a matter of people being d*cks about disagreeing with something, but there's very little anyone can do about that, it's up to the same person to reel in the tone. Edit: beginning of my post isn't directed at the "person 1 person 2" thing, I was referring to just the very beginning of of his post there, where he said it was still a "thing" to talk about me.

  40. There was supposed to be a special relationship of commercial bullshit, the farming thing would be quite ridiculous for a premier league club of our standing, but they came for Luka and for Bale and while they had to work for both of them, they got them. Madrid did that to Barcelona back in the day with De Stefano. You guys also have Manchester cherry picking your best players, it's crappy and lessens the game for me. Testimonials these days (10 years at a club) are a rarity and that's a shame.
