It's been that time of year for bikers to break out their bad attitudes and hit the road. I'm days away from getting my mom’s 1976 Suzuki GT185 Adventurer up and running again! I’m very excited to say the least. I've never driven a bike and don’t have my license (don't laugh ) but first things first, I need a bike, so I took it up to my in-laws on Saturday and spent a good chunk of the weekend with my girls dad taking it apart, cleaning, polishing and assessing what parts I need. It's lived in a shed forever; it's last inspection was in 1985 (me having it earlier was never an option, it took my grandparents passing away for my mom to let me take it because she has nowhere to put it!) so it ends up I only need a battery, spark plugs, two stroke reservoir oil cap, air filters, side panel clips and tires eventually. I'm going after work to try and order the filters and clips. The bike is 100% original! And yes I had it in my living room This should be a developing thread so please share your bikes and stories!2 points -
Its the one with the girl that killed everyone, and then the cop going to shoot her. So, no worries homie, you've seen it2 points

Finally...a few start hairs are turning into the close I've seen waiting for for years... It's taken weeks without shaving at all, but yolo: Also, a close-up on the white stress hairs in my 'stache and beard. :ph34:2 points

Pretty cool. Be careful out there, the way people drive these days you need to make sure you ride with your head on a swivel.2 points -

Oh I have to say your spot on you certainly get a sixth sense for other road users as for the speed it is addictive but rather than outright speed its the acceleration that's the biggest buzz. Little confession still expect a speeding ticket from last week!1 point

Doc, no worries. Joe wears a helmet every day!! On a serious note, love the bikes but I have no interest in riding. One, I don't trust the other drivers out there and two, I love to speed and I can only imagine how much trouble I could get into. Be safe guys!!1 point -

Yeah, I've been keeping my eye on it. Looks interesting. I can't watch the video for some reason, is it just the one where they are shooting at the girl? Or is it something new?1 point

David Luiz to PSG and Sagna to sign for City... Jeez!1 point -
You're not the only one Dattebayo, I've tried watching it a few times and I personally would rather have a root canal than sit through that show again. I know everyone has different tastes in what they like, but for me I just don't think that sort of comedy is funny at all. What passes for comedy these days is just appalling imo.1 point

I watch the show every now and then, good for a few laughs from Phil. It's no "it's always sunny in Philadelphia" though...1 point -

Really, fellas? I'm the only one that dislikes it? It's all cringe humor, laughing at social faux pas and sh*t. Like The Office, but somehow less funny. The only good parts are when Al Bundy is being a d*ck (which is what he does best, that marvelous man). Other than that, It causes me actual, physical pain to watch. I get all kinds of squirrely. Countless critics have hailed it to be the funniest TV show ever made...apparently Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Everybody Loves Raymond, Seinfeld, and countless other, more worthy shows never existed, ya f*ckin' Elf sympathizers. That's my crusty 2 cents.1 point

This is the bike I own. The colour scheme is different though, mine is mostly black with just a red stripe down the side where that blue is. Problem is that I'm not allowed to ride it legally and it's been out of commission for nearly 2 years It's gonna cost a fortune to get it back up and running.1 point -
I'll spend Monday like I have for the past 9 years. I'll wake up and go to the same parade I have been going to since I was a little kid. At some point during the parade my wife will ask when I'm going to walk or ride in it, and I'll dance around an answer by telling her "maybe someday." At some point during the parade I'll wander off and find a place where I can be alone and I'll end up breaking down in tears as I think about my friends who didn't come back from Iraq, and their families and their kids who have to endure this day with out their husbands and fathers. I'll eventually make my way back to the parade and watch my daughter grab candy that is thrown from the floats, pretending to have a good time. After the parade I'll get home and start setting up for a picnic that I always have at my house. The day will go on as usual, and as usual I'll drink myself into oblivion, call 3 or 4 of my buddies that I still keep in touch with from the Marine Corps and see how their day is going - usually the same as mine - Hating life and pissed off at all the people who look at this day as just another day off from work and a reason to get drunk with their friends. At some point later on in the night I'll black out and pass out - hopefully in my bed. And if it's a really special day, like the one 6 years ago, I'll wake up around 2:30am, take off my clothes, grab my car keyes and tell my wife I'm going to play golf and I'll be back in a few hours. I have a quick and extremely embarrassing bike story. Bought a brand new kawasaki ninja when I was 20 I think, got it home in truck. Got it out of truck. Started it up. All good. Dropped the clutch, did a unintentional wheely and dumbed that mother fucker right on the driveway. While my future father in law watched, I might add. Not one of my finer moments. Sold it back to the dealer the next day and proceed to pay the balance off for the next 3 years....1 point
