Apparently there's going to be a perk which turns killstreaks to score streaks instead?

The perk makes kills from streaks count towards your killstreaks. Normally it's just gun kills only.

So, basically, it'll be MW2 again where people will go into Dom, go for kills and go for Harrier(or the equivalent)>Gunship>Nuke. Making Domination a waste of time to play unless with a full team.

Yeah I've seen that but there's also rumours of a perk you can put on which makes your streaks score related instead of kills related, so if you want to play the objective hard you'll be rewarded still

As well as the Point Man perk, there is also specialists coming back (not the Treyarch fantasy BS) but the specialist perk system from MW3 where you can sacrifice all killstreaks for designated perks.

My concern about the point man perk is that matches particularly with high player counts will just get spammed with killstreaks. Good players will earn through kills and weaker players may opt to earn them through objectives that the killlwhroes aren't doing. Good players who also play the objective will just milk this perk by the look of things.

This game looks very promising but I hope we don't see all the frustrating elements that plagued MW2 return.

The only things that plagued MW2 for me was the rampant cheating and of course the noob tubes.

I suspect folk hated me with my Claymores and Scavenger Pro but that's another matter[emoji106]

No minimap, no commando lunge and no noobtubes is a win in my book. Best way to go is probably a few private matches on each map before diving into multiplayer to get somewhat familiar with the maps. I can also see the need for a class with a rocketlauncher to get rid of those pesky killstreaks 😄

No minimap

I expect thos to be the biggest talking point out of all the changes.

So many people rely on the minimap (as do I with most games) so its all about getting to learn maps more. I'm open to it but i'm tredding carefully as I think it could tilt some players as they keep getting sniped from somebody they can't even find on the map.

Honestly I can see this being one of the things I will enjoy the most. This will force me to go back to the run and gun style of play I loved so much on Mw2/Bo1/Mw3. People not knowing where you are while you run around is friggin great and leaves me the option of a different perk rather than one that hides me from radar as the radars are personal unless you get the blackbird. Stock me up with an Smg, any perk similar to mobility and a fuckton of ammo and I’ll be happy as hell.

Again, learning the maps is gonna be big here. Spend an hour or two in custom games just exploring and finding different routes and chances are you’ll benefit from it.

I usually learn the maps and only use the minimap for chasing orange dots in the end. It's removal, even with bigger and more complex maps isn't going to be that devastating but not knowing where my teammates are could be an issue and is the most overwhelming complaint from people that have experienced the game hands-on.  IW are talking about implementing a outline overlay through walls but that would make the interface horrible to look at especially in 10v10+ matches. I think they would just be best putting the standard UAV in the game - developers never seem to realise that in games like this, 95%+ are casual players and largely running solo without (serious) communication. After the SATCOM controversy in Ghosts, I'd rather they just kept it standard like the rest of the game rather than experimenting with something significant like this especially on a far more complicated backdrop.

Just stick a map in the corner and only show your team mates, no red dots. Sorted.

That's a pretty simple and good idea! Dunno why IW would explore something like this rather than going for the outline option which is just more work for an end-result that could look a right old mess.

Driftor mentioned it in one of his videos, so hopefully it gains some exposure and is at least considered

Guess it will negate the need for the 'stealth' perks and silencers?

Everybody will just be running UAV's. So a stealth perk will become essential.

It's going to be probably the last nice weekend of the summer but I'll find time for this :)

I still find without the radar that a dead silence perk would be incredible to have. Footsteps are SUPER loud from my alpha experience.

That's odd because the few YouTube videos I've watched said you couldn't hear the footsteps...hmmm

The one inside like a training base is a very echoey map and when you run through the deep forest parts on pine you can hear if someone is there. I dont think it's a game changer but it definitely helped that I had Astros anyway.

The footstep audio is a bit hit and miss - it's really authentic in some circumstances especially as the player but can be a bit iffy with the enemies. I think the directional sound is fine but the volume isn't quite as consistent as it should be.

At least it's not totally broken like Blackout where you can't even hear vehicles if you have your back to them and can be run over out of the blue!

Please let this game be good, were fucking overdue.

Battlefield has died.
Rainbow 6 Siege has too many gadgets.
COD has been wank for years and the last decent game was MW3.

I have Escape From Tarkov to satisfy my multiplayer first person shooter needs but it'd be good to have a console/ PS4 shooter that gets us all playing together, that isn't Density[emoji41]

I think a fair few played blops 3 but your right it would be nice to have something other than destiny especially if PvP doesn't improve.

What they did to battlefield is criminal, how they fucked that up after BF4 is nothing short of spectacular

Not my problem your shite at Density 😎

But yeah, momentum is building and this can only be good news for us all. Something we should make a few gaming nights on for definite!

COD went to space and Battlefield went to shit😎

Literally BO2 and BF4 were godly games as as tech got better and devs had more time, the games all went tits up! DICE literally have one last chance now to make a modern shooter to the tune of BF4 else COD will take their audience especially with their new engine and larger playlists.

We've really had quantity and limited quality this gen.

Being a BF fan since the onset the current situation really does pain me. I mean....how can you fuck it up so bad? We all know BF4 was amazing, and even Bf1 wasn’t too bad....but boy is V shite....

ive still plowed more hrs into it than I should in the hope that it rights the ship, but it seems to get worse.
