Sounds good overall. One thing I haven't made my mind up yet whether or not I'm happy about it is the potential idea of your guardian not being able to transfer over and to start from scratch.

This is a 10 year journey so I'm tryingto figure if I'm bothered or not if I have a start a new character and lose the hard graft I've made with my Titan.

Thanks for @wapntake finding that Destiny 2 is confirmed as a full sequel for Q3 this year.

There is a good chance they will follow other games that are still on the scene 2/3 years later as they have said they will have follow-on content plans for growth rather than expansions. That excites me alot.

Planets are due to become complete destinations rather than just patrol missions, etc. You could stumble across small cities with new quests and storylines.

As always expected Activision have said the story will more relatable characters and much more cinematic story telling. As long as they don't lose Cayde I'm game.

It also has a significant chance of coming to PC this time round.

There's not a chance I'm touching this game for a few months. If it has the content then sure. I also would be interested on the PC version if that's confirmed.

Destiny 2 was leaked via a poster linking it to a September 8th release this year.

Someone who works for Eurogamer has leaked via Twitter that the beta should be available around June.

1. Better graphics with an unlocked frame rate.
2. A huge market who purchased consoles for the game can now go back to their desired platform.
3. The addition of mouse and keyboard will allow player versus player to another level like most games that share a console version.
   1. Mouse and Keyboard offer more precise movements and impressive shooting; more entertaining and more viewers.
4. Data Mining can be a bit easier.
5. Third party apps are easier to access on the same platform while others will have to use mobile devices or companion programs that take you away from the controller/ console.

If I had the option for Destiny at the start I would have chosen PC as well as the faces of this game (Gothalion, TrippleWrekc etc all said they will switch to pc if d2 can deliver it on there)

So looks like Destiny 2 is definitely for PC. Pre-order available in Germany.

I'll be playing on console. I get the points raised Rob, just can't see myself playing a shooter clicking a mouse.

Plus, this community is an ace one and I don't expect us all to move to PC to play this game.

Activision probably missed out on an easy billion bucks not releasing the original on PC. Although it probably wouldn't have done very well compared with other games; it still would have sold alot and for many users; they would have chosen that version as PC is a perfect fit for a game like this.

Added this to the rumours thread because we don't much about the picture above. It was sent to all attendees to the gameplay premiere coming soon.

It talks about taking away all light, something that all guardians need to survive through ghosts.

Not sure if this could link to no light levelling anymore because guardians still need this to survive however I'm thinking some form of way keeping light topped up if ghosts will be tymhe main target in the next game.

Also, struggling to understand what Cabal will use to suck light away. I could understand the Vex doing it but not Cabal, who are the main protagonists in D2.

Not sure what to do on this. I didn't really enjoy the Halo series so I didn't bother with Destiny when it came out.
I then tried the demo on the PS4 and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
If I do an Amazon preorder to access the beta I can always cancel it, which is handy.

@BO7H B4RRELS do what Phil just said, at least you don't have to pay out for the Beta.

 

Phil, honestly. It will be one of the best investments you ever make. I've had so many good nights playing this game with all the people here. And get it for PS4 too - you know it makes sense and I think the value out of Destiny 2 should be better than Destiny 1 because of the amount of feedback about content vs money debate.

Destiny is easily one of the best games I've ever played. Destiny 1 has already earned my money for D2.

Well it looks like we're going to see both ps4 and pc versions running on the premiere day so we hopefully can see anything noticeably different. I think the community is pretty good on ps4 for this so it'll take a lot for me to see any shift of love for PC.

Good vid by More Console. I love the idea that these aren't actually subclasses but I like to think of them as some sort of personal Summon like in Final Fantasy.

This does put all the current subclasses into question as they potentially have been stripped away from the game initially. You would expect not to see them complete disappear though as the subclass system is one of the best components in the game. As they've been removed from the shop this seems on the right lines.
