J4MES OX4D 10,269
I watched Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning the other day and enjoyed it. I did think the film was a bit long though and it was bloated with too many characters and poorly written exposition. Some strong character performances especially from the villains and the action was plentiful. As you say, probably not as good as the first, but definitely up there and very easy to watch. Really enjoyed it, especially as i've never been a fan of Ben Affleck films but he really nails this character for me. Have to say for me it was better than the first one, it's close but I found the set up in the first one a little bit slow. The3rdWalker 1,280
28 Years Later, first half came in roaring and just like the previous two movies which I loved. But damn, that second half of the movie cocked the entire thing- very disappointing. I think I like the humour in the second one, whereas I enjoyed the setup in the first one as it was way more serious. Plus, because you then know his backstory, it was always hard to replicate and improve on that for me. That being said, Jon Bernthal plays his character really well and the connection between him and his brother, Affleck, was more enjoyable to see in the second movie for sure. Don't usually horror thrillers but have been tempted, similar to A Quiet Place films.
