Name your owned consoles (and your favourite)

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty new to the forum so I wanted to know how many people on here enjoyed the good old days as much as now?

I'll start by mentioning what consoles I own and my all time favourite, the Mega Drive. My first was and still is the best I've ever had. Gotta love cartridges.

Sega Mega Drive I and II (Genesis)

Sega Mega CD

NES

SNES

Sega Saturn

Sega Dreamcast

Sega Master System (one in built with sonic, the other Alex the kid)

N64

Nintendo Gamecube

PS1

PS2

Xbox

Xbox 360

PS4

Xbox One

Neo Geo CD

Atari Jaguar

Nintendo Wii

Hopefully by seeing what others put on here I may be able to dig out some retro games and write a few things about some golden games we all loved (and ones most of us didn't get chance to play).

Hopefully, i'll be adding a PS4 to that list sometime.

The only hand-helds I ever had were Nintendo Game&Watch ones B)

Commodore 64

SNES

N64

PS1

Crappy PC

Gamecube

PS2

Xbox 360

PC

I'd say for nostalgia the C64. Came with International Soccer (on cartridge) and Manic Miner (on cassette). I was 10 when I got it and most memorable for:

Way of the Exploding Fists

Jet Set Willy

+ in the UK there was a range of games for £1.99 with occasional gems like 'Kickstart'.

I have loved my Xbox 360 and while the PC is winning now I'd say the 360, playing MW2 with mates from work, got me back into games big time :)

Atari 5200

NES

Gameboy (got it off a school friend who smoked for a carton of Marlboros)

Super Nintendo

I was then out of console gaming for about a decade.  I played PC games a bit.

Once my son was born and got old enough to play, we got a Wii, and then expanded from there and still have the following:

Wii

PS3

Xbox

I doubt we get a next gen console anytime soon.

**Edit**

Oh, and my favorite was the NES.  Super Tecmo Bowl for the win.

In no particular order:

Colecovision

Atari 2600

Atari Lynx

Sega Master System

Sega Gensis

Sega Dreamcast (I really miss this system)

Panasonic 3DO

NES

SNES

Super Famicom

PS1

PS2 *

PS3 *

PS4 *

Turbo Graphix 16

Turbo Duo *

Gameboy Color *

Gameboy Advanced *

Wii *

Nintendo 3DS *

Xbox 360 *

Neo-Geo

Gamecube

* = Still own

I had one or two others, but this is all I remember off the top of my head. I would have to ask my dad what ones I am missing here. Thing is I have always been a gamer, I always spent my money and allowance and what not on game systems and games.

Class collection that is. What did you like so much about the Dreamcast Sennex?

I always wondered what more i could have had if I didn't meet my wife 8 years ago...i went from 4 TVs lounge game room to 2 kids and no games room [emoji20] . So glad now i have a bit of a room for playing.

The dreamcast was just a damn solid system. The games were amazing (Soul Blade, Blue Stinger, House of the Dead, etc...)

It just had so much unrealized potential. I should have never sold it.

I could almost say the same with the 3DO, but Panasonic just never supported it like they should have and the Game devs out there went whole hog into the PS1 at the time.
