Hello all The World Cup will be starting on the 14th of June. I will be running a sweepstake just as a bit of a laugh and to add a bit more interest to the tournament. As there won't be enough entrants for 1 team each, 16 people will be given 2 teams each Cost would be £5 each - first place will win the majority of the money, £10 will go into the FG fund as a donation so your money will go towards that and as well as an entry. This is great! Surprised it's taken so long for something like this to come out from the big names in the industry. Hope it benefits existing gamers who cannot use the standard controllers and newcomers alike who have been alienated from gaming altogether because of their disability. Something like this could make a huge difference to people's lives so for the first time in 5 years; well done Microsoft!

On PC I have a shit load of options for multiplay. Stated the game will at first focus on the 'Fall of Europe', but then only mentioned the ability to play as the British or Germans. I've managed to watch a fair few of the gameplay videos from the event and I must say the game seems to play reasonably well and the maps look good. The trailer certainly doesn't do the gameplay justice. Still not sure if the competitive nature of the game is for me but even with the sweeping changes, there could still be a decent COD experience in there. Be good to see more at E3.

Same could have been said about Rainbow Six Siege which was plagued by a half working game and hackers. Their current earnings call shows that long term support for video games outside of yearly releases are not only profitable but of higher quality than games. Hell Rainbow 6 is built on a weak engine according to Ubisoft and they plan to support this game for at least 5 years. I will never defend a COD game, I agree, they should die. However, you need to give credit when credit is due. Late to the party, but a step into the right direction.

I usually pick up the AAA games that you guys will as I think a real test in knowing its a good game is if you can have fun with your mates. This might be me being naive here but whats wrong with a game set in WW2?

I don't understand what they are going for with the health system in all honesty - everyone has said that the regen back to 150 is instantaneous and only requires one button press of L1. Seems very generous indeed but I get the feeling that Treyarch think it's harder and takes more skill than the auto regeneration!? Defensive players, headglitchers and campers will have a field day with this especially if they have a team in tandem doing health boosts for them to 200. Very strange decision and what's happening about non-lethals - is it another button or are we only allowed to select lethal or non-lethal now?

I tried streaming and every time I had to log in and verify the account and put this code here and then I was finally able to stream. Twitch links to 1 PS4 and I just found it obnoxious to have to go through that on my mobile. Probably would be a lot easier with a PC next to me.

Scammer. Lies for two years straight to the media and fans about multiplayer (along with everything else) features in the game and 24 hours before the game is launched, he drops the bombshell on Twitter after everyone has pre-ordered that the game doesn't have multiplayer afterall which was it's biggest selling point. He then goes into hiding for 3 months. Two weeks before launch he also did an interview with IGN also talking about the MP elements in detail. 'Yes' Man Murray is the biggest bullshitter in the industry and I can't believe he's releasing that piece of turd on Xbox. Microsoft must be desperate. The only reasons he still supported the PS4 version was to save his own skin and swerve litigation down the line for the studio - people would've been entitled to refunds and many did get them before he craftily announced the first major update after coming out of hiding. He certainly embarrassed Sony and they weren't too happy with it. This weren't an early access title either and it's games like this that give developers an excuse to release incomplete games at full price without a care in the world. Game don't deserve no more money or exposure and even today; it's still threadbare on how Sean Murray had presented the game months before release. Easily the biggest deception in gaming.

I just don't get why they persist with making competitive a priority when it represents such a tiny amount of players and alienates the majority. Also the only good competitive format this franchise has ever had was on Black Ops 2 when COD was a dominant force in the genre and gaming as a whole. This franchise was at its best and sold more copies than ever when it was purely primarily casual. Heavy SBMM factors and general sweaty gameplay has seen the games become dead soon after Christmas. Activision need to accept that this series will never thrive as an eSport, it will never see the online viewership like it used to and it wont generate commercial revenue like other more appropriate titles. I do find a lot of the changes interesting and potentially refreshing but BO4 is trying to be something that it's not and with no campaign either, people are going to be put-off in droves I fear. The scoreboard is a joke too - seems they rate 'damage dealt' as fashionable over more fundamental factors. I dunno if they are trying too hard or have even completely misread the market or if they are just building the game around Activision's wishes but it's another developer and another year they have really missed the mark on how to make a hugely appealing COD game again. Already people are getting hyped for the prospect of MW4 because you don't really need to play BO4 to know if you will like it or not.

They're really going all out towards competitive, this looks completely geared towards team play, I wish they'd just leave pubs and competitive separate. I really don't like the pick a specialist especially for solo players and those that like to do challenges and wonder if it leads to people quitting games. Im not sold on the scoreboard especially for tdm players but if it helps people play the objective it might be ok. Do like the change to Dom part capping is actually a nice idea it always sucked getting killed 1 second before it's capped and now you can retreat if necessary too. Shotgun secondaries 😁 One thing I do hope for is an improvement in hit detection so I don't have to default to hardcore. Oh and sniping isn't as much aids as ww2.

I agree with you there, Sea of Thieves, Black Flag was better, and SoD2 were touted a few months ago as PS4 beaters. Silliness multiplied. Pointless hype that just backfires. Neither studio involved is big enough or resourceful enough to compete with studios that can come up with the likes of God of War etc. At least SoD2 is half the price I suppose! I'm not sure what they expected to gain from this, who's coming up with their forecasts? Come up with a new game idea and don't just jump on the band wagon.
