  2. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 87 seconds
  3. Me and my mates watched that Germany 1 England 5 in a pub in Scotland. Was hilarious. The jocks had played earlier that day and got knocked out of contention by The Dog &Duck (might have been Isreal thinking about it) but the jocks stuck around to watch England get thrashed. By half time, the pub was empty apart from 6 drunk Englishmen
  4. Bump !!! The Final Shape is here (well not quite yet but today sometime). 10 year journey , how many have been tempted back I wonder !

    Ha ha , class !
  6. The internet lets every asshole who wants to be an asshole do so anomalously - thats the problem
  7. I’m quite enjoying it ! Love the breacher drone. Love the sneaky sneakers. Love the people who don’t use the sneaky sneakers the clod hopping numpties one thing I have noticed, it’s very much a long range CoD. Marksman, sniper, battle have all worked good for me, but haven’t enjoyed the assault I’ve used and haven’t touched SMGs. I think the ttk increase has played to the hard hitting weapons more. Have actually done the campaign then went back for trophies. Would like to do some team zombies when I’m through the levels.
  8. Occasionally they got PvP right and then they fucked it up by moving away from it. There was a couple of seasons of iron banner where the gear was locked behind gain coins from playing and bounties, and it made it a bit of a challenge to grind out for the 'best' efffectively curated gear. They then moved to engrams so you could drown in loads of shit roles! Also Trials had a heyday for the more casual PvP player - when it was based in the Reef, and again bounty completion could get you gear, it was worth taking the losses to an extent. In fact now its back down in the Hanger it still has some of that but I think the RNG of engrams is always a bit of a joy killer. I always sort of thought PvP always sort of lacked a purpose in the lore - it was a training ground apparently, except no matter how crap you were you could drop good gear via RNG and could do any of the PvE stuff. As a training ground it had zero purpose. We all grind the fuck out of CoD for zero purpose, but somehow grinding PvP for zero purpose never appealed too much to me. Best times in normal PvP were probably the exotic bounties that forced you to do PvP in D1 - gave it a purpose (an hunter who got thorn at last will remember the feeling of relief after completing the void kills at a time when the only void option for hunters was a Heavy or one raid weapon! D1 and D2 were fantastic at times but as has been said before the cookie cutter Seasonal content just became meh ! Too grindy even for me, and thats what eventually made me drop away, and honestly cant even face thinking about going back! But when it was good it was great - the FG Raid teams in particular. So many great memories, and laughs. The hours of banging heads against brick walls for that one final run when everyone at last got it right. One of the great things was they way you didnt actually have to be great at the game to finish the raids, learning a role and having a supportive team meant you'd get the completion eventually, not everyone had to be a superstar, was incredibly accessible. Good times gang!
  9. Hold on, I'm paying £60 specifically not to play that fucking lighthouse map, that fucking black gold map and that fucking border crossing map - they better not be bringing them back !
  10. That’s good to hear, all the old maps, proper perks sounds like a big win to me. I think I’ll be in
  11. 10 years wow, got the badge 👍 Still remember the day @Diddums led us away from the tyranny of Auptyx to our new home. Like some sort of loud sweary Moses
  12. Thanks Greboth, I'll mix it up as I go along - just see what works - started in HC with a marksman rifle which seems to be going along ok - I guess there's probably a lot of core people going HC for long shots which might dilute the hardcore hardcore !
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 50/100 My Time 128 seconds
  14. 51 gold guns done. Bloody longshots to go - i'm thinking this might be hardcore time, presumably a lot easier there?
  15. Boo hiss at the evil Saturday the 26th voters, probably those Cowbots and Eagles fans !!
  16. I have a strong preference for 18 August as its the only date i can actually do it - please vote 18th August everyone !!!
  17. Picked the two wrong snipers to level, one needed hip fire kills (thank you shipment) and one needed double kills , whereas the others need two kills in ten sconces , doubles are two in three, very long road to get that camo done. But both done and moving them to gold
  18. Shame, it would be epic, of all the million games of CoD I’ve played the most fun was that 0-0 draw on Rust . Love SHIPMENT, but am trying not to burn out on it
  19. Havent played grind but might add it to the filter based on comments above. I always seem to do really well at FFA if i'm trying, dont know why but the SBMM seems to be very kind to me in FFA. Me doing well means i'm playign the worst players in the world consistently Headquarters i really like, i guess its not everyones cup of tea due to the delayed respawn mechanic, but i always think its a good game - also worked out a way of abusing it for those pesky double-kill challenges. Not sure I've played HQ on shipment yet, but i could imagine that being a 15 minute 0-0 blast (had that on Rust once back in the day, was awesome)
  20. My plan is to get 51 guns gold then go for Orion from there ! 22 gold to date. At least i think thats how it all works !
  21. Lol @techno, so harsh but fair 😂. But ultimately the grind finished me off, and it’s a struggle to see what would bring me back. I have been here before though, dipped out for two seasons soon after D2 launch and I think another time. To answer @GazzaGarrattquesrion, I guess what happened to me twice to bring me back was just hearing things had been fixed and the fun was back. But I’ve not really heard anything much about lightfall other than the worlds first race took 2.5 hours which I guess makes it sound like the raid is pretty straightforward. And if it is, that’s a step in the right direction for me. The last two raids haven’t hit the mark for me. Kings Fall I always thought was too long, for my available time anyway.Vow was great in some of the encounters BUT the requirement to learn like 20 symbol names in order to do it was a pain in the ass. That raid could have been great but in the end I barely played it. Destiny was at its best when we had all those clan raids during lockdown, Deep Stone. Crypt, doing all those raids with a cast of about 14 rotating in and out was just gaming at its best and I guess for me it’s the highlight and everything else has been a bit downhill since. Not a difficult raid, spectacular, and fun. Not sure how we get back to that. I hear the grind has got a bit less, which is a good news, However my only real info I get on D2 is the destiny help account on my Twitter feed which seems to be constantly ‘being aaare of a problem’, so not sure how well the game is holding together anyway. Happy to hear different from anyone still playing it. Also pretty sad inditement of the gaming industry that the fallback for us all remains CoD. Is that 15 years we been doing that and still nothing takes it s place!
