My my issue with all of this was people who bought season passes should of gotten weapons in the DLC guaranteed. Shouldn’t of had to get them
out of loot boxes. 
 
I really wish they wouldn’t do weapons in loot boxes but until the community stops buying them they will always be there or the government steps up and regulates them

I really don’t get the camping complaint. Every single FPS game has “camping”, that’s nothing new or will ever change. Battlefield is by far the worse game ever for “camping” yet no one ever seems to point it out or care. 
 
I don’t care about it I’m CoD. I play how I want to play, mostly a medium pace as my reflexes are not what they once were. I will be quick to post up and let dumbasses run into my bullets. If you’re one of the people who continue to run into my bullets then you’re a fucking dumbass for continuous coming back to the same spot. As the famous words of a previous old forum member, Get Better. Holding a position or area,cutting off flank route and controlling an area isn’t camping. It’s playing smart and changing how the map will flow. Now hiding in a dark corner waiting for someone to walk through a door then yes you’re a douche bag. Guess what though. That person will still be there to hold my grenade or C4. Adapt and Conquer.

So @Nutcuttlit was talking about this while we played last night and I can see that it seems to be dividing opinion, which can only be a good thing.
 
The bit that stuck with me is that CoD has always been arcadey. People have been saying it needed to go more simulation, similar to what Rainbow 6 has but not that far. In reality we really have the best of both worlds.
 
I actually think the maps look very authentic. Granted, there are a few black spots that can be dificult to pinpoint an enemy that is hiding in there but I'm defnitely feeling the map design that it works so well for different kinds of players. There wasn't a map where you were overrun by Snipers, or by dashing, in your face style shotgun tactics. Shotguns will get a buff as they aren't successful at many ranges atm. M4 and MP5 is such a good loadout its difficult to switch to anything else.
 
As its a Beta, I really do expect them to sort the spawns. But hey, its a PvP game. What PvP game has spawns working 100% correctly?
 
The feel of the play was really good imo. I honestly think that because most of us commenting here are 30+ that we aren't used to change much these days, although the irony is that we wanted CoD to change so we could play one together that is way more enjoyable than all the rest.
 
You have to keep persisting at this game. You could see our big parties win a ton of games together because most of you know strategies to combat all the different types of annoying CoD players that we'll be up against.
 
This CoD clearly is different but only for the right reasons. I'm still sold on it - and for many FG party nights too (if it lets you put more than 6 of us in a party, stupid beta).

I like the realism but the light transitioning as well as all the other post-processing effects are very OTT and impact the gameplay negatively for me. Some aspects they just need to tone down as they are too cinematic. A lot of devs make mistakes in this department i.e POV lens flares.  If they want to go all out and implement things like transitioning adjustments then they at least have to ensure the light sourcing is correct and in a lot of rooms, this isn't the case so it just feels more cinematic than realistic. 

Best COD game in years, if you don't like this, it ain't getting any better any time soon [emoji41]

I'll be picking it up for sure, though the single player and Special Ops are the main attractions for me.

Multiplayer in the beta was enjoyable. They need to sort out the dark areas and I hope there are some great maps, as maps are everything for me in this game.

Didnt care for the NVG mode, is my only gripe.

I felt it was time to say goodbye to the old office chair that had served me well for a number of years and splash some cash on a pukka gaming chair
 
After some deliberation, it came down to a choice between SecretLabs Titan and Noblechairs Hero.
 
In the end I plumped for the Hero for the adjustable lumbar support (looking at the pictures I think the Titan has it as well but they don't highlight it as a feature) and the fact I could get it from Overclockers.
 
Ordered it yesterday lunchtime, arrived today lunchtime in the hour time slot they promised.. excellent!
 
What I didn't appreciate was the weight..~29kg!! This meant unpacking and part assembly downstairs, take the pieces upstairs to the man cave and complete
 
Assembly was straight forward, and it's a really well constructed piece of kit. At the moment it's comfortable but still very firm but the reviews I've read or watched say it takes a few weeks to break in.

@techno told me to play the game and do a review. I wanted to do a video review but I have a good career now and my online persona certainly isn't compatible with it, so here it is in writing. I know there's a thread for it but I'm fucking fabulous so I deserve my own thread.
 
Initial thoughts!
 
In this year's episode of please-keep-these-cunts-out-of-all-my-other-games comes a bit of a resurgence of old, no more flying, wallrunning, only a bit of parkour and the usual camping from the same twats who all seem to have fucked controllers going by their inability to move anywhere. CoD being CoD, every single soldier is exactly the same height, which is conveniently about an inch taller than every obstruction on the map. It's almost as if the designers have designed the game around people just poking their heads out from barriers and shooting you from their forehead mounted gun. The don't-worry-corner-I'll-defend-you cunts are now joined by a seemingly whole new breed of CoD player, who shall now be referred to as don't-worry-window-my-claymore-and-I-will-defend-you! 
 
It's no surprise how much I absolutely fucking detest the CoD community, but we need CoD, and we need Fortnite for exactly the same reason, to keep them out of anything else. These career Dorito eating, mountain dew sucking please-mom-one-more-round motherfuckers deserve this irritating cunt of a game. It caters to their cheap bullshit perfectly, with dark corners, the aforementioned perfect height obstacles, windows and maps which promote these legless fucks to sit in corners with their shotguns. I could almost hear the salt from their delicious tears when they found out that their usual look-at-me noscoping bollocks is gone, but there are more than enough ways in the game to find a way to shove a whistle up their arse and fart.
 
The maps are decent enough, @phil bottle will probably have a whinge about the Hackney map not being stabby enough to be authentic, the cave map fucking sucks, the only way to succeed is to stay out of the cave because you can bet your bottom dollar that there are two pixels of some cunt sticking out from a rock on the other end of the cave scoped in on the door you just walked in to just waiting to catch you with your safety on and then brag as if he's just stopped King Fucking Kong from stomping all over Los Angeles. Congratulations, you waited 27 minutes for someone to walk past so you could catch him off guard and then killed him. You absolute fucking hero you.
 
The guns feel decent, but my shotgun feels like wank. It doesn't really feel like a shotgun, more like a handheld mortar that shoots confetti in the hope that your enemy chokes to death from laughing. Maybe attachments will fix this, maybe it's gone the way of the irritating snipycunt, we'll see. Either way defending those fucking doors and windows is a lot harder when you have to shoot twice, trust me!
 
A special mention goes to the sound. Apart from the doors sounding like it's the final of most-serious-door-remains-and-the-rest-are-turned-in-to-soup-cans therefore needing to sound like they really, really mean business when touched or even stroked, the sound is absolutely spot on. Soundwhoring is back and then some, I could defend my perfect-height obstacle perfectly when I could hear bad buys coming from a mile away, and which direction they were coming from. It's fantastic.
 
As always with any CoD, it all boils down to connection. I'm a fucking shit player at the best of times (fuck you @TigerBurge, haha) but even I can pull a blackjack and fuck shit up one match, and then suck massive donkeyballs the next. There's zero consistency, and once the frustration starts setting in, it becomes a game of revenge, more frustration, more lame ass attempts at revenge, it just goes on and on as I spiral more and more in to negative KDRs.
 
One small item I noticed is that in the scoreboard for TDM, it only shows how many kills anyone has, not their deaths. I can only assume that this is to protect the poor kids from getting the abuse they deserve for sucking balls, the poor fellas. Shame.

I've gotta admit that after years of shrugging these things off as gimmicks, they're slowly growing on me. Very slowly.
 
I very rarely read anything negative about them so they can't be that bad I guess. Maybe the millions of positive reviews are right and I'm wrong, I'm still on the fence though.
