I'm sure that's something that would be pretty useful for the response team. Maybe I'm just giving him too much credit

    Well to your point why would you need to take a picture of a fish you caught and are just going to release anyways? Especially when you've caught so many already. The pictures she does take are of signature dishes for a restaurant or location. So for example she took a picture of her ink squid pasta she had in Venice. She doesn't take pictures or everyday eateries. She takes pictures because she really enjoys good food. The rest of the family doesn't get it either

    My wife does that. She also has to take a picture of food we are having on vacation or restaurants so she can remember what she had. When you get to you mid 50s and start losing your mind, it might make sense to you

    Wow. As if Infinity ward didn't screw up Ghost bad enough. Fighting space robots on mars in the future? With Destiny, Mass Effect, Doom and other games out there that seems rather foolish. If that is the case it's a definite pass for me As for BF5, it will be a while before I get it. Just too many technical problems with BF4 for me

    I liked doom a lot. One of the modes I did like was TDM with monsters. Not only did you have to worry about the other team but the monsters too. It certainly looks different.

    I think the "fluffy bullshit" makes significant difference to the experience. You used skyrim as an example. I played skyrim on the PS3, then I played skyrim on my PC. The "fluffy bullshit" made a ton of difference to enhance the exact same game. The game is so much better on the PC. I did the same with Crysis 3. I got on the PS3 then I got it as part of a bundle on the PC. Again so much better on the PC So I think that game makers use the "fluffy bullshit" in order to make a weak game more interesting. You have a lot of valid points about what makes a good game. However the aesthetics are also part of the games One of the biggest issue that I finding with the division is that a lot of people don't seem to be taking the time to explore and have a look around. I've used the party matching system and found that a shitload of people rush from check point to check point and don't even find the loot boxes that are in the environment or other items. The environment is often key to finding those items a locations.

    The level disparity in parties is an issue. On thing I have noticed is that if you go to a safe house that is within you level range (which is dependent on the location) and party up, you will be partied up with people that are within the same level range as you. The level is displayed in the top right when you look at the map. I don't know if that is guaranteed but it seem pretty reliable. I do agree that the game gets pretty routine however. Even the encounters and side missions are pretty much the same. The game is best played and most fun when you do get 4 people that are the appropriate level doing a mission that is also the appropriate level. If you are 1-2 levels higher than the mission however, it gets pretty easy with 4 well organized people.

    Have you guys used the match making much in the division? It's straight forward for the main missions and works well but it seems to be hit and miss for the rest I was trying to get matched with people to do some of the higher level side missions. It did match me up but I ended up in one the regular missions that I had already done. Do you guys know a way of doing that properly? I also tried free roam and I ended up matched with people in the DZ while I was outside of the DZ and needed to get to them. Once I did I couldn't do anything anyways because their DZ level was much higher than mine I just want to get some of those missions done and solo is either too time consuming or too hard. Some of the NPCs are several levels higher than me.

    I don't have an XBox so I can't speak to the ability to change to that platform easily but I do have a Sennheiser U320 headset. I needed to use a Sennheiser for the noise cancellation capabilities of the mic for work projects. It works on the PC, Mac, PS4 by simply plugging in the USB. I think you need an adapter (which provided) to plug your controller into the hearphone control to work with the USB I know that Sennheiser has a number of other headphones that are more capable the those but if the issue is multi platform it works quite well.

    This tread got me thinking a bit 1) Can Linux be installed over Win7 on a machine and essentially scrub Win7? In other words if my laptop is win7, how to I install Linux on it instead. I know that I cannot format or scrub the disk because it is write protected. I suspect there is a way since PCs usually come with win pre-installed. I've never had to re-install in my case 2) Diddums mentioned 64 bit linux. Does it actually work on a 32 bit machine? I don't remember where PCs became 64 bits but some older machines may not be. 3) Does 32 bit software run on 64 bit linux. A number of Win softwares are still 32 bits and run on a 64 bit machine. Some do not. You actually need 32 bit windows. Those are older programs that were not written well but they still are around. It's usually applications that were never updated. I run into them once in a while. The versions of linux that I am use to seeing supported in my working environment are the following • Red Hat Enterprise Workstation 7.0 (64-bit) • Red Hat Enterprise Workstation 6.5-6.6 (64-bit)\ • Red Hat Enterprise Workstation 5.10 (64-bit) • SUSE Linux Enterprise 11.3 and 12.0 (64-bit) • Cent OS 6.6 and 7.0 (64-bit) • Ubuntu Linux 14.04.2 LTS (64-bit) But that doesn't mean that the others mentioned here are not good for other applications.

    Hi, Ubuntu is the one I encounter the most. It's free and you can actually operate an emulator on your PC (windows) to make it look like a linux desktop. You can find the information here. http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop It's also free The applications that we run on it are rather complex. I've been using unix (which is basically Linux now) forever so I may not be the best to evaluate the worth of that OS but as I said I encounter this one in the working world a lot. Mostly with software companies that want a user to be able to do powerfull stuff on their systems when they are stuck with windows.

    That's one of the reasons why you want to look at other players when in the DZ. If they don't have anything in the contaminated canister (what ever it's called), there is a good chance they are up to no good. If they got stuff and wanting to extract they probably are not as much of threat I'm still concern about it being unbalanced however. But since I have not tried it I can comment much further. Seems to me like this will only make solo players and marginal player's life harder.

    Well I caved and I got it. I had not played the beta so I don't have a frame of reference but I go to level 5 and did some of the side missions and stuff. The interface is screwing me up at the moment. I need to get use to that. The missions and side missions so far are ok. Everything I have done so far is solo so I am looking forward to running as a party. The biggest issue there is that most of us do party chat and that might not be the best thing to do for this game since other people in game will not be able to hear us. The map and the mission selection is nice. You pick your missions and then you know where to go. You just might run into other stuff on the way however. Right now the story stuff is decent. I can see putting in enough time to get my moneys worth. I haven't encountered many problems so I am happy about that

    What it sounds like to me is like one of the files is mounted on something and causing problems. Can you just rename the database or files then delete? a 90G database should not be too large to do anything from within win7

    A number of us still play on the PS4. Probably more out of habit than anything else. It still seems to be the go to game to party up with other people The new map pack is ok. Zombies isn't quite doing it for me. I much preferred Zombies in AW

    Good question. I think the cost looks expensive at first glance but it isn't quite as bad as it seems sometimes If you look at movies, it's about $12 to see a movie or $7 to rent one. So for $7 you get about 2hrs of entertainment Games are about $70 on average. So as long as you get about 20 hours worth of entertainment then I would say its decent. Anything above that you probably come out ahead. If it's a game one of the kids like then that's even better (both are over 18 now)
