This is the game. Its hilarious to see it now, but you know, it was so nice to go back and play this without all the drama of ridiculous unneeded skills and crap like FIFA scripts and momentum that can spoil your games. Scoring was hard as nails and funnily enough more own goals were scored in the end it felt from corners! I couldn't remember the ways to score like I used to so it was a decent little tournament and hope to do more. Maybe I can get some clips next time to post. Menus and UI was really good too btw. Clean and simplistic to get through. Like Matt said, none of this rubbish where stuff is hidden everywhere.

This is me too. This is also me too 😄 I have a growing collection of N64 but I just wasn't into the console at all. Never liked the controllers and very little of my friends had one when we were growing up. I wish Analogue could make an all in one version for old console games. It would cost a fortune but that one would be well worth it.

I just can't bring myself to watch them both. Don't like the style in the way they seem to be made and now you've mentioned musicals, I know I'd really struggle with it unfortunately.

Rewatched The Intern and then Notting Hill again for the 537th time. I thought The Intern was only a few years old as it feels a fresh happy film...but Tom helped me realise its actually 9 years old. Man....

Easy to feel that and understandable. I'll continue to say though that if we want something to work we have to be relentlessly positive on it and keep pushing it out there.

This is where I probably am given i've had a think about it. I think sometimes we can easily gloss over how amazing Monday Night Football has been such a mainstay here at FG for so long, every single week. I don't think its dead by any means but some juggling around for different nights to play FIFA may help - the only challenge is some people's plans and diaries may not suit this. I think on balance though we do need to find a nice alternative way to keep games like this fresh.

Theres always been WhatsApp groups, Brede. I can't stop them. If you look back a few years ago, I tried to embrace everything for the sake of all. Discord, WhatsApp, FB and anything else you can think of. We're likely nearing that cycle again of basically me tearing it all up and bringing it all back...but part of me after the last two times would just love it if people wouldn't be so lazy in life. I feel the pressure myself and I can't lie. If I'm not doing events, sending messages, thinking of ideas to get people to play games, no fucker does. Well, some do, but when they realise they get not much joy after a few times, they give up. I don't blame them - I suppose I'm the only one who's decided to do that for 10 years here. I'm now nearly 40, so life does change and evolve. But I wanted FG to be FG for all, not FG that is a check in cos Lee asked them to. There is always ways to rejuvenate the place. But people have to WANT to do that. And before anyone asks, god I've tried multiple ways to get people involved, drafting ideas of different roles, changing forums around to accommodate stuff, etc. Nothing has stuck so far, otherwise it wouldn't just be me. We all have the gift of sorting this out. And I'll still be me trying to find ways of doing that, but I also know that the ones that don't want to, won't want to until they fully have an epiphany and maybe if I say FG closes for good? Who knows. I just don't think a bold statement like that should ever be needed when I know there's 100 odd regular FGers that could be active and they don't. How many times do I have to say that if we were all active and took a tiny interest each day, then it would actually be the best place on the internet cos so many would be chipping in n loads of different stuff. I suppose this thread was eventually going to tip me. I'm super conscious I haven't updated my PPR in months and I'm usually the one that says practice what you preach. I think I'm gonna give myself grace just this once for the past 10 years. If you have some bright ideas, please shout up. Its always worth reading the whole of site info and announcements though first. You'll see about 4000 posts from me (no lie) about getting people together in lots of ways. Pick one and run with it. I love this god damn place. I just paid £150 for the software for the next year again and it wasn't even a thought of not doing that. ❤️🖤 Aww man, Brede. You made me go there 🥲. What in the absolute L was that reveal??! Thats probably the worst Sony one I've ever seen. Nothing about it is even worth it, unless they're saying GTA 6 can only run on that, which I wouldn't be surprised to hear in the future. £700? No disc drive it seems too. I genuinely can't get my head around it all because its the most illogical decision Sony have ever made. Didn't even see any new games to take advantage of it, just old games that I'm likely not going to play again. I may have if Last of Us decided to do the multiplayer, but oh yeah, it got scrapped by Sony 🤷‍♂️ I may have also unexpectedly got hopes up when I heard from Matt the possible rumours of backward capability to PS1 and PS2 original games...but without that slot I can't really even see that happening either! I have no more words in my head other than absolutely dumbfounded by all of this.

I actually thought about buying it from Argos cos of this lol. Personally, I'm rather sad about it all. Probably because I have a soft spot for the developers. Same culture issue we keep coming over and over. The gaming world and gamers can't wait 8 years for an idea to develop into a game these days. I appreciate we may not have wanted another hero game now, but i'd expect theres a good game in their under the hood. Good game, wrong time to execute.

I think this is the thing. I agree with both above. It won't be anywhere near what EA FC does. It looks rough and played very rough in the Beta. I think I'd still try and give it a chance as you hope over time they get it right. Unfortunately no sign or comment on it later after launch. Stuff like this hurts new games to the market.

Oh I'll be into it and yes, they'll be getting a packet from Sony. I know the game is built similar to the last Olympics game, so should be easy to get into but likely a quick-ish game to complete. I really hope they can find a replayable factor to online though, thats the key.
