  1. A few surprises in the Premier League this year. I don't know why they don't do two leagues system so they could have 16 players involved. The top 4 automatically qualify but as the other 4 spots are purely down to the PDC to decide, it feels a little off there isn't any other criteria to make it. Michael Smith had an awful year but it does seem strange not to see him in this. No Scottish player either for the first time in about 10 years with no Gary Anderson or Peter Wright.
  2. He is ridiculous and fantastic for the sport and in general how he handles himself too. He tries things that usually used to be for exhibitions but it works on this stage because its how he's been brought up and not meaning it to be from a cocky point of view. Shame Bunting could only reach Semis due to the draw. For me he was the star shining just below Littler for this year's Worlds.
  3. Littler has been made to work really hard this year, so much pressure on the lad and he's still fighting through which is great to see. Averaged 103 last night in his 4-3 over Joyce. Outside of Littler I think many would love to see Stephen Bunting to win it. He's become a fantastic at socials and has a naive positive innocence to him that is brilliant. Imagine the commentator saying 'Let's go Bunting Mental!' as he hits the winning darts. Would be great to see. He demolished his Last 16 opponent last night. Peter Wright did fantastic to beat reigning champ Humphries but I can't see him getting past Bunting tomorrow. Quarter Finals - Wednesday January 1 Afternoon Session (12.30pm) Chris Dobey (15) vs Gerwyn Price (10) Michael van Gerwen (3) vs Callan Rydz Evening Session (7pm) Peter Wright (17) vs Stephen Bunting (8) Luke Littler (4) vs Nathan Aspinall (12)
  4. And for us all mate. Plus would reduce storage space dramatically! Quite a lot to do back end before we get it though and a few decisions to make on where we store FG in teh interwebz too.... Amen to that ❤️ It will cost us at some point though and I hope people want it enough to be here forever ❤️🖤
  5. Current software restraints from webp being used unfortunately. However, there is a huge update to the software at Invision coming very soon and that will allow webp I believe - we will need to do some significant lift and shifting for that once it is ready.
  6. From th emakers of It Takes Two, they're bringing another good looking co-op game to the market and once again only one person has to buy a copy for you to play it. Looks pretty cool and given It Takes Two got so many awards, this type of idea should really do well. Out 6th March 2025
  7. Hard to say really what deals I've had. I'm sure many people that bought a ton of games when they were younger like me to play from Gamestation, alot were anywhere between £1 and £5 so loads have gone up in value. Luckily for me I bought them to play so haven't looked much into what has jumped up the most as I can't remember all the prices! I'd probably say the best deal I did was buy the Neo Geo CD about 16 years ago. I bought one, with most of the original box and 10 games for around £140 on eBay. The whole collection has gone across the board and are some of my most expensive games I own. I actually love the console. The controllers are fantastically made, like SNES but better. Super Sidekicks 2 is awesome and I've loved playing through it to win the World Cup. Lots of fighting games I have. I'll set it up next time people visit mine.
  8. This sounds like you went vegetarian for a moment! 🤣 And I am crap with vegetables just as I am with digital sales! 😅
  9. CDs are coming back out for me. The ease of Spotify and streaming music is great for certain scenarios but if I'm chilling at home in the shed, then a CD in the background is a far better option as its a choice to do something you want to do specifically rather than get a curated playlist continually retune your needs. ooo I'd love to see tapes make a comeback! Probably not worth the hassle unfortunately but would be ace to play on the odd occasion. As we love games, I'll obviously say all my old consoles and handheld devices are a great alternative for an evening of gaming. Makes you appreciate the gaming industry, especially when lately it feels like new good games are a thing of the past. Actually, to finish I'd also say one more thing...I got Hayley a Tamogochi for Christmas! 🤣 They were ace back in the day, just to pass abit of time. These days we use continuous never ending free games on our phone but this feels like a cool way to get off those things to help you back into the real world and not lose too much time into the those awful mobile games.
  10. I really enjoyed the write ups above both @RenFengge and @Luseth. I think if I ever was a lover of BioWare or even played the Dragon Age games I would've looked at this for Christmas but I've never tried any of them. I think you'll find many haven't or at least for many years and the story is probably low on their wishlist for a Dragon Age game. It would be high for me, if I did play them so can definitely understand the scoring.
  11. As we get older, we don't want to change. Easy to get stuck in a rut and not move with the times. Doesn't mean we should like what people do new, but games have to evolve and we must adapt sometimes to how new games move. As we haven't got the reflexes or the time we used to have (if you're moving 30+ and above here), then its pretty easy to see why the new games don't feel great. Quick movement on BO6 and smaller maps which means more gunfights. I still think its great we wreck as a team because thats they way to combat better individual players. I'll go on the old ones for Private games for good laughs with each other but they won't offer much more other than sweats that don't want to move on so therefore older games get even harder. My 2p.
  12. Great trailer, and rightly deserves some praise. Hopefully they'll deliver. I'm sure they will as they won't deviate too far away from a game that is wildly received as one of the best of all time. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  13. Oh no! It got great reviews online to the point that people were saying BBC saved Christmas! lol
  14. I need to dig out the trilogy version. GTA6 will probably delayed again anyway.
  15. @MrBiron and @techno played it quite abit i'm sure and did enjoy it so there must have been a decent playerbase out there. Got to be more than some of these new F2P games you see come out and are truly quite poor by design.
  16. Its clear Konami aren't interested in the share of the football gaming market, otherwise they'd be in it right now with the previous PES game just slightly enhanced as it would make money quite easily. Everytime I see updates here I shed a tear...although it makes me more invigorated to set up my old consoles to get some Master League finally going on older versions. This mod is insane! Looks incredible and must be ace to play. Good to know. I'm hesitant to update as would I really play it given the lack of game modes? Doubt it, but could be worth taking a look for old times sake.
  17. Never watched them actually. I think I'll avoid the trailers until watching the previous films...I assume there has been 2 made so far?
  18. Its a bloody fantastic game Phil. Just to look at the scenary as you go through the levels, its great to take it in. @LordBaguette and myself have played through 3-4 levels. It feels quite intense and they are about 1-1.5 hours long level wise, so we've took our time to take it all in. I'd love to play through some of the levels together for sure. Just took a look at the roadmap and its good we're getting a few more missions to keep coming back to it: I'd argue don't get the game for PvP. The way the marines move is really quite slow and not accustomed to PvP in my eyes. It'll be interesting to see what is in the Battle Barge Expansion, given its in the Free Updates section too.
  19. The Secret Level shorts are fantastic and I'd say Warhammer is up there as one of the best made. I'd love to see a film or more so a series about all of this. If Henry Cavill is involved in that, it can only be a good thing as a fan passionately that cares about the backstory will only make it better.
  20. Over Christmas we've managed to watch a flurry of films as a family. Red One, Home Alone 2, The Grinch, Godzilla x Kong The New Empire, Super Mario Bros, Remember the Titans and Dungeons & Dragons. Red One was a really good family watch, much better than expected. I got Yara to watch Dungeons & Dragons with me and she really enjoyed it which great to see as I love that film. First time i've watched Godzilla x Kong as Dax wanted me to watch it (he watched it at the Cinema) as he loves Godzilla. Must admit, easy watch and if you love the monsters more than any backstory, it is definitely the right one to watch. Good sequel I'd say.
  21. Everything is going around again, in some ways why Indie 2D games are thriving too. For far too long we havem't had enough arcade-esque sports games, especially in football. Sometimes too much realism is a turn off. This looks decent and pretty fun to try out. There seems to be a beta phase and you can sign up, I just did. Worth a try for everyone here i'm sure: Rematch | Beta Registration WWW.PLAYREMATCH.COM Want to try out Rematch before the official release? Register here!
  22. Didn't expect this tbh. Although shows how hard free to play games need to perform. Executive Producer confirms this on X: Hello XDefiant Fans, I am unfortunately here today to announce that XDefiant will be shutting down. Starting today (December 3, 2024), new downloads and player registrations will no longer be available. We will still release our Season 3 content in the near future (exact date TBD) and the servers will remain active until June 3, 2025. For those who purchased the Ultimate Founder’s Pack, you’ll receive a full refund. Players who made any purchases within the last 30 days will also be fully refunded. Those refunds should happen automatically within 8 weeks of today and you can find more details on our official website, http://XDefiant.com. A few years ago, Ubisoft and the SF Dev team embarked on a bold adventure to develop a new arcade shooter called XDefiant. It was from the start, an incredible challenge. Not only were we trying to shake up the genre by removing Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM) while bringing back a more “old-school” arcade shooter experience, but we were also diving into the high-risk, high-reward realm of free-to-play. And for that I want to applaud not only the Dev team but also Ubisoft leadership for taking that chance! Free-to-play, in particular, is a long journey. Many free-to-play games take a long time to find their footing and become profitable. It’s a long journey that Ubisoft and the teams working on the game were prepared to make until very recently. But unfortunately, the journey became too much to sensibly continue. I am, of course, heartbroken to have to be writing this post. Yes, this game has been a personal passion for me for years and yes, I know that not all challenges lead to victory, but I also want to recognize all of the developers who are being affected by this closure. Each and every one of them is a real person with a real life separate from our own and they have all put so much of their own passion into making this game. And I hope that they can be proud of what they did achieve. I know that I will always be proud and grateful to have worked with such a great team! A team that really punched above its weight class. And what they achieved is truly remarkable. The early response from players when XDefiant launched was amazing—we broke internal records for the fastest game to surpass 5 million users and in the end we had over 15 million players play our game! That is something to be extremely proud of, especially considering how tough this genre is. So, thank you to all of the developers who put their passion into making this game! If there’s one thing, I hope we can all take away from this experience, it’s the importance of open, honest communication between developers and players. This “player-first” mentality along with respectful, non-toxic conversations between developers and players has been one of the standout differences that made XDefiant so special. From my very first post about XDefiant, this was the vision I wanted to champion, and I hope it leaves a positive mark on how the game industry treats its players and communities. To our players, THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible community that has grown around XDefiant. Your passion, creativity, and dedication have inspired us every step of the way. With the utmost of love and respect, Mark
  23. Luckily not enough Gary's to make a cull so you're in! 😄 Welcome to FG mate. As people have said above, what games are you in too? Hope to see around our Home and online too one day.
  24. Or maybe you're just redefining the use of Yo-Yo team that gets better over time 😎 Always enjoy watching Spurs. Postecoglu is definitely a boss that you can get behind. I'm amazed that people these days don't want a Manager to settle and stay for years over and over.
  25. I can't deny this is probably the winning statement from 99.9% of the world's population! Interesting one really, the core component of mine that I think I transfer and use everywhere is problem solving. I like things to also have a higher purpose so working off core principles I also enjoy because that links to my beliefs and feelings. And usually 9/10 the answer should always be logical and make common sense. Something really satisfying when you solve a problem, that links to principles you believe in which means we all follow more logical common sense. Easy when it all happens like that but I'm sure you'd all agree that this stuff possibly rarely happens enough to stop our head from hurting from all the silly talk in meetings! 🤣
