  1. Whilst the first thing he says he has a point that the overall gaming state is really poor right now so this shines out easily, however me playing a BF game this much tells me that the gunplay is the best i've ever tried in a BF game. He's playing solo in a team oriented game outside of that, so the rest of it doesn't make much sense. FGers over the past 2 weeks are continually coming top squads and my win % is at 70, so it can't all be that bad. We have to evolve and move with the times, whether we like it or not from a gaming viewpoint. Games won't deliver all the content we used to get because the demand is needed yesterday and the overall player base gets bored if you don't iterate and keep making small patches over time. I don't blame them if they have made stuff and drip feed it out. Annoying for us oldies, but not for the new generation - if that keeps the player base high, which allows us to play more and dominate more then I'm all for it. BF6 so far has been a pretty decent revelation in the current drought of good games. They've spent time making the gunplay and movement solid and for that I have to commend them on it. Escalation is a fantastic game mode and really does give you lots of tight games without the worry of dying loads. First game in ages that has brought so many FGers back to online gaming and you can't ignore that from a positive POV. They must be doing something right 🤷‍♂️
  2. That's a pretty good survival rate there Philly after nearly 200 raids!! Have you mastered the art of sitting silent in a dark corner? Is there another full reset coming or this is now how it stays as a full game?
  3. Its a great collection you have there although my missus would've thrown me out for those cables on show! 😅 Some awesome Mega CD options there that i've never seen or played. Nice man! Hope you enjoy your stay at FG ❤️
  4. Never really got into these Fallout type games. Not sure why. Maybe too much magpie'ing for me me to do which means i'd never get anywhere in the story 😄 Let us know what you think if you guys pick it up.
  5. Nice little watch that. I think its a real hard game to keep playing without it evolving too much. Those mods did look pretty hilarious though. I always watch these and think its ace again...but I know whenever we played it, I never even had anything like the kit he gets in minutes lol
  6. Given I have two kids, I have the following which I have streamlined now as used to have quite a few more over the years. I look out for the cheapest packages where possible. - Netflix (Basic package with 2 screens and ads. £5.99) - Disney Plus (Basic package with ads. £4.99) - Spotify (Family package for all of us £19.99) - Amazon (Prime for quick parcel deliveries which also gives you Prime Video. £8.99) - Sky TV (This is luxury one. We have sports and movies as sports is on 24/7 virtually all the time and Dax will watch some movies with us. Currently £70. This depends on what they do for existing customers, although frustratingly gives new customers for about £30-40. Been with them for 17 years) Its a funny one subscriptions. I really do dislike them, but what I try and do as you can see is play the system for what it is. Ads don't last long and we use them as loo breaks or to get a cuppa. £5 sometimes doesn't even get you a coffee in todays world. If I needed to, we'd drop Sky too if money became the most urgent issue in our house. Playstation I don't class as a sub, even though it is. Always paid the annual basic one to play online. Anywhere between £40-60 once a year. We shouldn't need to, but at least I get my money's worth with this one too.
  7. I do agree with this take too, as much as I love that its coming to PS5. Games are in a sorry state of late. Thankfully, BF6 can hopefully bring the waves back again. Back to Halo. Original Co-creator seems to really like the look of it...
  8. I'm ecstatic btw! It really does look a great upgrade graphics wise. I think only Halo fans on PS5s will make this a hit though. Can't believe the turnaround for Xbox, looks like they want to hit the medium/high end of PC players I guess. If this opens the door for Halo 1 or even Halo 2 multiplayer to eventually come to playstation, then I'm all for it. Some of the best gunplay we've ever had and should feel relatively new given its been so long.
  9. I saw when he made it initially in beta for free to download but I was worried it would take the shine off the golden old days! Let us know how you get on Philly 😎 Soccer Rivals was the one me and @Findmartin played to death on my Amstrad CPC 464. A board game styled management game, loved every minute of it!
  10. You say that but gamers have changed. They gorge content and their brains can't cope if the game looks the same as Day 1. They need/crave change. Its unreal to the extent this happens. People are quick to move on to something new so I get why developers release content over time. Also focuses the mind to build up to certain dates and events with friends. This ain't gonna change anytime soon given how long it takes to make a AAA game now. I've ordered the game, comes tomorrow from Amazon. I like the amount of people talking about this of late. We should embrace that and try and get behind a solid game like this and give it some airtime. Don't think I've played another BF game where the gunplay comes anywhere near BF6.
  11. I'm glad its till 4 player co-op on this one. A great find too as I've not heard about this game at all! That flying dropkick is hilarious. I'll probably add it on my Xmas wishlist, but could get it slightly before as you'd expect it to come down to around £40 soon. The first one was such good fun, so many of us picked it up too and it was mental at night. The video you've shared seems like its very similar which is great news.
  12. You know I joked but also meant it 😄 I've always been a believer that near enough everything is cyclical, so I won't be suprised to see a boom at some point. I do think we have a chance of another gaming market crash though. Like James says above, the way that people consume stuff these days, a developer can't keep up and the pay in relation to work/life balance is just not good in any way. With Microsoft seemingly moving more and more away from the market, could be a good time for a new emergent to come in if they can figure out a way to break it.
  13. The new exotic mission apparently looks okay, but people are sharing it feels pretty empty. Its such a hard one to balance out now as most common Destiny players that enjoy what its stood for, expect really integral exotic missions, or some form of long mission that has multiple steps. We aren't gonna get that now with the way they can't churn out content to match the cycle of what consumers want. They'll get a spike for the Star Wars collab coming soon. We'll have to just see what actually comes with it that stays and holds people's interest. Now, more than ever though, is enough evidence that gamers way of thinking shows that they just should've made Destiny 3 and took the heat for not being able to crossover weapons. Gamers get butthurt for so many silly reasons and that would've gone away quickly if a new game was out.
  14. It should've been Liverpool all day long but they feel like the only side that could screw this up. Genuinely hard to call so far. If Chelsea or Newcastle get a run going you never know. Spurs look strong so I do wonder who can get consistency after the International break.
  15. Jeez, what a trailer. Do you recommend the Dahmer one then Gary @techno?
  16. The great physical revolution returns!! YARRRRRRR! 🤣
  17. Whether they we like it or hate it - business model wise, having exclusive games to specific consoles makes the world go round. They may have got millions of digital applause online when they said they wouldn't do exclusives, but they kissed goodbye to console wars when that happened. Its just not what the gaming world has ever been and thats why Sony and Nintendo will continue to make the big profits when they bring out their own exclusives.
  18. I've heard its been a better game than BL3, but it hasn't been enough pull for me to go and try it just yet. Not sure I can get with the game to replay through it continuously over and over. For a looter shooter I used to struggle with the combat in BL3 and also the sheer amount of drops the game gives you. I know many that play this genre love drops, and I do....but not absolute shed tons that I've seen on recent videos because I then end up playing Borderlands Administration Simulator. Shame it can't really ever be an evolving live service game. That may have got me into it.
  19. Great game. Chelsea deserved it. @Macca89 has been proven correct so far, that the Liverpool defence is quite poor overall.
  20. Got an email the other week. Reebok have created 3 different unique Playstation 1 styled trainers, one for each region. UK Version US Version Japan Version I actually really like the US Version way more than the others, shame we can't get them over here! Does any of these jump out for anyone else? Should be available mid October to buy.
  21. Microsoft are falling off a cliff in the gaming market. How can this be in any way a good idea? At $1000? If you looked at the market, you could break it by going backwards and making a unique PSP styled one that doesn't need to be anywhere near that powerful and create exclusive games for it. It looks massive and that means it doesn't feel super comfortable to play rigorous games with those controls. This is where the Switch hands down kills everything. If we think back to the King of handhelds back in the day, the ones that succeed are more fitting in your hand that will lend itself to the fun of the games, not just giving more power for better graphics. Its literally just a gaming PC and I actually think the next 5-10 years is showing more kids want to have a PC at their desk, not this. EDIT - I was typing as I was listening to it. Its £500/£800 for the handheld. I still think its too much though for a glorified mobile PC.
  22. I actually think in the short-medium term, you'll find more games continue to release. The amount of money now needed to keep game development going is insanely high - and most of that cash lies in the Saudi market. They may push more annoying things in certain games like fifa coins, etc, but I don't think it will mean games get shelved.
  23. I really REALLY like the UI. Its such a dealbreaker on these games, and probably why I can never get into the last 10-15 years of this game as it felt so overwhelming. If they can make that easier to flow and use so there's more gameplay rather than tinkering the absolute minute detail then I'm all for it.
