  1. Ash is pretty much my go to Attacker. I also should point out I pick breach charges on top of her special ability so can completely wreck openings towards the OBJ for the whole team. Her R4C with ACOG sight is crazily sharp and on top of all that, being quick massively helps if you get found out.
  2. I already banned you. So fuck you.
  3. Weekly Nightfall Shield Brothers is your Nightfall this week. Modifiers Catapult, Match Game, Fresh Troops, and Airborne are active. Catapult greatly increases your grenade charge rate. Match Game forces you to use correct elemental weapons to go through enemy shields. Fresh Troops means there’ll be more enemies in some squads. Airborne increase the damage you do while in the air. Prison of Elders -Level 32: Broken Legion -Level 34: Urrox’s Grudge Court of Oryx Thalnok, Fanatic of Crota (mini Crota) is the tier 3 boss this week. Sterling Treasure Like every week, your chances of getting Sterling Treasure chests are renewed with every reset. You get one for free just by visiting the Postmaster. Another is waiting when you finish a match in the weekly Crucible playlist, and one more when you complete a full game of Level 41 Prison of Elders. King’s Fall raid challenge It’s Oryx’s turn for the raid challenge this week.
  4. You can attack from horseback, either using your sword, or by trampling enemies in your way. You also have access to medium range rifles you can use to take out enemies from afar. Another thing you can throw from horseback are anti-vehicle grenades. You can drop ammo and med packs from the horse’s saddlebags, similar to how light tanks dispense ammo and bandages. Although horses are mainly designed for quick attacks, their health pool is not small, but they do make you a bigger target. You can spawn on one from the deployment screen or jump on any one you see unattended on the battlefield. DICE says a lot of time has been spent making them feel more like animals and less like motorcycles. For instance, when you approach the edge of a cliff on a horse, it will refuse to go over. This is just an example of how horses will be able to recognise their environments, going throw shallow water and not swimming, for instance. They will also try to avoid or jump over obstacles. Similar to the vehicle class, choosing to spawn on a horse will give you access to the cavalry class. Just like the recently revealed Elite Classes, horses will feature in the upcoming open beta for everyone to try out.
  5. Updates for Season 2: Here are the big bits: Skill Rating is changing from 1-100 to 1-5000 Tiers are being introduced (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.) that you cannot fall out of (except Master and Grandmaster) Competitive Point rewards are being multiplied by 10 (goes for banked CPs too) - but so is the cost of golden weapons Sudden Death is being removed Note: Season 1 ends this Thursday, 18th August, and Season 2 begins 6th September - although that date could still change.
  6. Taken from PC Gamer. Looks an interesting game... ------------------------------------------ New trailer showcases 'body part targeting' melee. Surge Gameplay When Dan Griliopoulos got to grips with an early build of Deck13’s action role-player The Surge earlier this year, he said: “Given it’s a sci-fi game from the developers of Lords of the Fallen, it’s not surprising that the ethos is entirely Dark Souls meets System Shock.” The latest pre-alpha trailer appears to further this outline by showcasing some distinctly Souls-like melee fisticuffs. “Melee combat in The Surge is stamina-based,” explains Adam Hetaney, Deck13’s head of game design, in the following demo. “That means that while you’re in combat you’re gonna need to manage your stamina resource or you might find yourself unable to complete a combo that you want to finish or unable to dodge away from a counter attack—it’s just something you need to pay attention to while you fight.” A stamina-focused approach to close-quarters combat might echo that of the Souls series, however The Surge deviates from its example by way of “body part targeting”. Hetaney continues: “In The Surge, attacks are not light or heavy attacks, but rather horizontal and vertical attacks. That’s because the swing direction of your attacks actually matters. “You can target specific body parts so directing attacks towards unarmoured or vulnerable areas deals increased damage, it’s more likely to stagger your opponent. It really pays to observe your enemies, pick out their weak points when you’re going in for the kill. While the latter half of the demo explores The Surge’s crafting options, how body targeting is tied to looting and pulling blueprints from dropped enemy equipment sounds interesting. The Surge is due sometime in 2017.
  7. Comments and Reviews now work on the events page!
  8. No Rich, you're not blind (others might contest that) as Sam asked about this too. The settings have been turned on for comments but I think its because of the permissions. Weird though, cos I'm sure they're okay aswell?! May have to get Didds to look at it as I can only change stuff from my mobile whilst I'm away. Glad you like it though! I think we could use it really well going forward and especially once we have the feed to your phone sorted 👌 If anyone wants to create new events just try it out - just bear in mind you have to create the event, then edit it to get the RSVP system working. When I'm home I'll look for an upgrade also to stop showing older events as the test one is still there (probably for reviews?).
  9. Final Fantasy XV release date pushed back to November 29th for PS4. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
  10. Tried to fix Tapatalk link last night but my noobness at this stuff past 1am is killing me. Apologies for the delay - as I'm going on a plane to Spain for 2 weeks it'll probably be didds fixing it before i get back.
  11. until
I'll be on holiday but thought you guys could do another fun filled FG Rocket League night?! I'm happy to put this in as a monthly thing if people want it?
  12. until
Thought I'd try out setting up some events in advance and it would be good to get some hard oryx runs in.
  13. I suppose you get what you pay for with those.
  14. Apparently one of the game editors has leaked that the campaign is approximately 8 hours long. Not really massive tbh, but when put against the first game that had a 1 hour campaign its at the very least an improvement! Btw, this looks fantastic. I really enjoyed the first game albeit quite abit short on content so this is very promising indeed.
  15. Taken from Eurogamer.... No Man's Sky has a huge exploit which is letting users farm the game's rarest items. The method, detailed below, allows people nab valuable resources such as Atlas Stones again and again. Due to the resource-driven nature of the game - where some items require many steps to create - this exploit is allowing users to create enough high-level items that the secretive No Man's Sky ending quickly comes into view. Testing it out for Eurogamer, our Ian Higton managed to get five Atlas Stones in around half an hour - a process which would otherwise take at least 10 times that. This method of short-cutting to the ending is reminiscent of how an early players reached the game's ending in record time before the No Man's Sky day one patch. It looks like another patch will be needed quickly to block this exploit too. Details of the exploit lay below - look away now if you do not wish to read. Upon death in your ship, No Man's Sky allows you to claim back your ship's inventory from your grave marker. But by reloading a previous save you can get your inventory back plus access to the grave as well, doubling whatever you had at the time. The items you wish to duplicate need to be in the ship's inventory, and you'll need free slots to pick them up, but - in theory - if you had 10 Atlas Stones in there you will instantly get 10 more. ----------------------------- I fear the concept of this game was brilliant but just brought to market too soon with too many things left open to pick holes at exploit.
  16. Guys, sorry about that.....tried to fix tapatalk whilst at work and went pear-shaped. Have disabled it so its all working. I'll try and fix tapatalk again later. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  17. I've only ever had the earbud then the official ps4 ones. It seems like they are fantastic compared to what others say too. I think they are the closest to the astros without paying the price for the top end headsets.
  18. Yeah it was, just shows how much fun you can have on it and it's pretty easy set up too.
  19. So far its pretty much Lee, Rob, Rich, Martin, Stretch, Phil i think. Anyone else want to do this? I'm away from Saturday for 2 weeks so can organise stuff when I'm back but equally can set up a game for you guys whilst I'm away?
  20. Tapatalk is definitely not far away now both so that will hopefully get sorted very soon. I was hoping themes would come up so if others have any burning desire to add to Rob's view that would be great. Other than that you may see i have added a video section. Its early days but if you have any FG montage clips or just a couple of your own so far it would be great if you could test it. One place for certain forum videos whilst i don't want it stop within threads seems like a fun thing to have. If no one likes it, it can be easily removed
  21. Ahhh, I thought you were looking for it when you click on a fully updated thread. Nice one Tommy!
  22. Post all your ideas or thoughts no matter how big or small on here. Things that aren't a fault but you miss what we use to have or something completely new. Equally, if something is too excessive and prefer it removed. Let's have it all here so we might be able to group some changes up into one night of updates. It's everyone's forum so let's work on this together Thanks FG!
  23. Not a problem with the button btw No, it's not silly i miss it a little bit too - may need Didds to look into this as I'm pretty new to this. I'll have a look tonight as well though. I'm going to start a separate thread about forum suggested improvements / enhancements you want to see, no matter how big or small. That way we can keep real bugs here and good ideas/functionality on a different conversation. Should have more value from feedback that way and people don't feel bad putting suggestions in a bug or "issue" thread.
  24. Started a new section for No Man's Sky and as people start to get this let's use this thread for initial thoughts and views. The early reports from critics are divided; which is no surprise because it is such a niche, never seen before, game. I'm very close to going out and getting this today before my hols!
  25. Did anyone play the small intro demo? This looks like a fantastic addition that will be very interesting in first person. I loved watching someone play these games, now I have to build up to playing this myself! Resident Evil 7 trailer
