  1. Unlike PS4 users, xbox one users can't play this beta without xbox gold. That means if anyone on here doesn'thave ps plus get downloading and play the beta from today.
  2. So......with all those spare £££ you've saved over the years...does that mean you're going to use them to purchase some lovely ps4 games and play with all of us?
  3. Depends on where you copy and paste from
  4. I don't think the saving buying a package upfront is really worth any value. Only time I would say it was worth it is Destiny due to the value for money that game continues to give.
  5. Didds is trying to sort it out and I think he's in the process of resizing it.
  6. Hi all, now that a number of you have been getting used to copy and pasting can I ask if everyone wants the ability to copy and paste the original format and change through the button option on the PC version or would people prefer to lock down the text format? I'm open either way really.
  7. Steve, that's frickin fantastic!!!! You should be immensely proud at what you've achieved as to lose that through your own hard work is epic.
  8. I can see why you've leaned to that one because it gives everyone choice. I do like the darker themes; Titan and Carbon seem pretty sweet. If I had the choice I'd go Carbon to match the dark logo we have, however I think if enough people like different choices then we should go for Elegant.
  9. Looking at this again, I like the look of the UI. Battle mechanics I'm hoping will get a little better, however the special move around 8 minutes looked pretty damn good!
  10. From the developers of Life is Strange, is a 15-minute gameplay video of their new game. I think could be a big hit in 2017, as Life Is Strange was an underrated success on console. It's on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Really impressive stuff.
  11. I don't like posting more bad news about this game but this clearly takes the biscuit (or the discoveries, if you prefer ). Such a shame really, as it feels like a DriveClub event happening all over again. I'm gonna bet they will release some large free DLC within 6 months. ----------------------------------------------- The No Man's Sky community is currently swapping stories about what could be another of the game’s issues: animals, plants and other discoveries no longer appearing logged in the journal after revisiting planets. Several players report that their starting planets and other charted territories aren’t saving their finds, although the reason why is unclear and in dispute. A Reddit thread by user Dark_Nexis kicked off the complaints. In a post, the player wrote of managing to make it all the way back to their first planet, only to find that everything other than the system and planet names was gone. "I check a few neighboring stars I discovered and their [discoveries] were wiped," Dark_Nexis wrote. "So none of my named animals [or] plants were ever saved." Others chimed in about similar issues. A user known as Ultasilvanus wrote that they returned to a planet that appeared to be in the process of corrupting saved data, with only a handful of waypoints logged and just three animal species detailed, even though the explorer said they’d found many more on their last visit. Still, "I memorized the planet, and went on playing and discovering new stuff," Ultrasilvanus continued. "The next day, browsed the list again. The planet was wiped clean and so were a couple more." It’s possible that the game’s server connection could play a part in this; players can upload their discoveries if the game’s online service permits, and it can sometimes be finnicky. It’s also possible that discoveries cycle out, just as the list of found waypoints does. (Only six waypoints show in an explorer’s journal at a given time.)
  12. Is the premium pass really going to stop people playing? The base game surely will be what most average gamer will buy anyhow. I very rarely buy DLC but granted this is now the norm in most AAA games.
  13. The Director of this game has come out and said that only the first half of the game is open world with the second half set to be linear. Not sure splitting it 50/50 is the greatest tactic in the book as I would've expected it more to be 80/20 in favour of open world. Let's hope this doesn't de-value the game in any way.
  14. I've fixed this now.
  15. I did because it fit better but obviously want the other one there as you've both said.
  16. FYI - Unread content button doesn't work for me on mobile. Either Didds or I will sort. Let us know if it starts working or is working okay for anyone else.
  17. An open beta for Mortal Kombat XL is now available on Steam for anyone to try. After teasing the PC version earlier this week, Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm has released an open beta of Mortal Kombat XL – the bundle that includes all DLC packs, on Steam. You can’t buy Mortal Kombat XL just yet, but if you have a Steam account, you can download and play it for free until Monday, August 29. You’re going to need about 30GB of free space, so get downloading.
  18. Xur, Destiny’s weekend Exotic trader, this week he’s in the Tower, opposite the Speaker, obnoxiously touting quality of his ‘Boomsticks’. The Speaker is getting pissed off, but he’s trying to restrain himself. But anyway! What’s Xur actually selling? The bag, my friends, it is mixed. • Universal Remote (Exotic Primary Shotgun) - 23 Strange Coins • Empyrean Bellicose (Exotic Titan Helmet) - 13 SC • Graviton Forfeit (Exotic Hunter Helmet) - 13 SC • Nothing Manacles (Exotic Warlock Gauntlets) - 13 SC • Legacy Exotic Engram (Chest Armour) - 29 SC
  19. I seen this a few days ago too and thought it was a bit of ploy to get this back into being remastered again. Unfortunately, I didn't originally own a N64 (do now) so didn't really feel the hype of this game. Nevertheless it would've been awesome as a xbox live game.
  20. And number 1 on the list sounds like the darker theme. I have found one but it needs tweaking and seemed to take the forum down for a small period of time too. The logo needs to go on, absolutely. Just need to resize and tweak with options to get it nicely fit. I'll have a look at these when I'm back from hols. Oh, and Pat, I can still look for a spell checker if you wish?
  21. I'm really open to have whatever we like in each forum. Whilst we could talk a lot we may not have many separate threads for FIFA as it shows. I think if we're trying this little mini league still for Rocket League we can give it a go, even if its just for housekeeping.
  22. Real nice Steve. Especially to share those moments with good old friends.

    Verdun

Any PC players tried this out? Its coming out on Tuesday (30th August) for PS4 with the xbox version being slightly delayed. It has a very good rating on steam and its a World War 1 FPS so I'm pretty bemused to why it hasn't been talked about. Clearly is the only alternative to the upcoming BF1 which I'm sure it won't match up but nevertheless it looks a solid FPS. Verdun Console Announcement Trailer
  24. Okay, so after a hard hitting backlash of feedback sent to the Developers, Respawn have comeout with lots of updates to this week's technical test. Would be good to know your thoughts on whether this will make a difference this weekend or not. ---------------------------------- Over this past weekend, we’ve heard a lot of passionate feedback from Titanfall fans. Even though the Tech Test build is a couple months old, we learned some valuable things based on your feedback. Some of these changes have already been addressed and will be updated for weekend two of the tech test, with other changes making it into the final game. Pilot Mobility Many players are wondering why we changed the mobility from Titanfall 1. We identified two major issues we wanted to solve in Titanfall 2. The first is that a lack of player predictability would often cause players to be shot from the back or sides. While flanking is an important part of gameplay death often felt random instead of skillful. The second issue is that close range firefights were overly chaotic due to erratic player movement. So, changes to pilot mobility stemmed from a desire to improve our gunplay, and not a desire to slow down movement. We’ll be tuning air speed and wall-running speed to be faster. While investigating this point, we discovered some unintended side effects that were causing players to lose momentum while wallrunning. Players should once again accumulate and retain more speed when chaining wallruns. Additionally, we’re testing scaling back some of the dampening factors that were limiting bunny-hopping as we don’t want these restrictions to impact normal traversal. Titan Meter We made some changes in Titanfall 2 with the goal of rewarding players for playing game mode objectives. However, we observed the problem that players can try to play the objective but fail, resulting in slower than intended Titan acquisition. We still want objectives to be the fastest way to get a Titan, but the goal of every player being guaranteed a Titan per match hasn’t changed. Pilots will once again acquire a small passive amount of Titan meter every few seconds. Titan Survivability This is one of the more complex issues to address for several reasons. First, we’ve changed from Titans having energy shields to a new Titan battery system which we believe improves rodeo gameplay and rewards teamwork. In Titanfall 1, rodeo was lethal to Titans, forcing pilots to disembark and engage in a 50 / 50 fight. In Titanfall 2, the rodeo pilot steals a battery and damages an enemy Titan. If they can give that battery to a friendly Titan, the Titan receives a shield and the Pilot gets Titan meter points. As players become more familiar with the system, we expect that Titans will live longer. This is an area we will continue to monitor leading up to launch. Another factor is that the balance of Titan gameplay in the Tech Test build is heavily affected by the limited amount of content we released in the build. For example, some Titans that aren’t in the Tech Test have strong defensive abilities, certain Titan kits provide defensive upgrades, and even Pilots have a boost that can improve Titan defenses. Lastly, there has been a lot of tuning since the Tech Test build that will tone down the amount of damage many weapons deal to Titans. Titan Mobility We’ve reduced the number of baseline dashes by one compared to Titanfall 1, but all Titans have access to a new Titan kit that provides an additional dash. This is to balance new mobility or defensive options available to specific Titans. The Tech Test build, however, doesn’t include our fastest Titans. Despite our confidence in our top-end speed, we have heard your feedback that Ion and Scorch feel too slow. Titan dashes will recharge faster. Map Design Some of our Tech Test players have asked if the relatively flat and open design of Homestead is indicative of a new direction for Titanfall, and the answer is no. When designing maps, we strive to make them unique experiences. For example, Homestead changes things up by creating islands of Pilot gameplay where long-range weapons can be effective. This upcoming weekend a new map, Forwardbase Kodai, will be available for play. There is a wide variety of maps for the final game. We’ll be showcasing more maps over the next couple weeks on our website, including more traditional Titanfall maps. HUD We’ve read feedback about the HUD feeling too busy. At launch Titanfall 2 will have menu options that allow players to turn these features on or off based on their individual preferences. Additionally, there have been concerns about enemy outlines making players too easy to see at a distance. We think this is an important feature for friend or foe identification with the substantial amount of visual customization that will be available at launch in Titanfall 2. We’re going to bring in the fade distance for enemy outlines so they don’t reveal pilots at extreme distances.
  25. The first few minutes of Angry Joe vids always get a good giggle from me Most players need goals and targets. Mission based games have succeeded hugely, just look at Destiny and Warframe. I really still like the look of it but without missions I think I'd be a little lost.
