New Update has brought more depth to the game with a big tournament mode - and you can rank up 'Fame' to eventually get a few extra sweet cars it looks like. for a moment I thought it was a Tourney mode that you could play with friends but unfortunately not. Still, great to see a big update to the game so soon after buying it. Details below: HIGHLIGHTS Tournament Mode A new demolition derby arena: The Maw Support for American All-Star Car Pack Up to 80% shorter loading times Stability and performance improvements We're pleased to announce the availability of Tournament Update! The eponymous Tournament Mode is all about putting your racing and wrecking skills to the ultimate test by competing in thrilling challenges, not only against the game, but also against the other players! It all boils down to being a boss by winning trophies in challenges and earning fame, with new challenges coming every day, every week and every month, and then using the acquired fame to claim exclusive rewards from the tournament shop, with new epic rewards each season. The daily challenges are like bite-size snacks, a fun thing that you can tackle each day to prepare you for the real meat of the Tournament Mode: the prestigious weekly and monthly challenges that make you face-off with the other players around the world in exciting time-limited leaderboard challenges, with the goal of conquering the leaderboards and being crowned the undisputed king of demolition! Some of the Tournament Mode events are completed with DLC content, but in case you don't own the specific DLC no need to sweat because everyone can join! That also goes for the computer-controller AI Players, so for the first time you can actually race against computer-controlled DLC cars and special vehicles. We've also used the opportunity to tune the game for Tournament Mode so you can expect maximum action and maximum damage β in short, maximum carnage! Speaking about DLCs, there's a new one out: American All-Star Car Pack! This new pack adds three new American heavy-hitters, each offering a different kind of gameplay experience. Grand Duke marks the return of the demolition derby royal that packs some serious punch, Wildking is a true American icon with a plenty of power to go forward fast, and Little Thrasher is great little truck that punches above its weight. Of course, that's not all. Our love letter to the demolition derby fanatics gets another chapter in this update, and we're adding another new free demolition derby arena called The Maw! This one's like a deranged brother of Hellride and takes the battle onto a platform high-up, with the wimps and losers facing their untimely demise by falling off. In other news, we've also massively improved the loading times and dialed in a number of tweaks to help with online stability. We're also constantly working on improving the gameplay experience based on the feedback, and this release contains numerous other improvements and additions. Please find below a complete summary of items fixed or improved upon in this release. RELEASE NOTES Game version Xbox: 1.4.0.0 PS4: 1.41 PC: 1.259287 CONTENT Added Tournament Mode. Glad you hopped back in Sean! I'm sure we can get some games in as quite a few are on the Warzone, definitely been a better CoD seeing so many play it lately. And yes getting old sucks, but we just do it in style by playing video games where we can π You'll still find a lot of regulars that have been here for years and some great new people too. Hope you stick around when you can mate π

Playstation - DUALSHOCK 4 Back Button Attachment
GazzaGarratt replied to GazzaGarratt's topic in Hardware
Some good points to know Greebs. I must admit, when its said like you mention above for 2 buttons you could say it isnt cheap but it's the fact if you want a proper fully-fledged controller with back buttons this actually saves a ton of money vs a SCUF or Astros controller. They're quite sparse on the market too btw. Demand must be still high for them.- 5 replies

How to get a start working with animals
GazzaGarratt replied to Nutcuttlit's topic in Any General Discussion
I'll definitely ask her what she wants to get into. I'm pretty sure common house pets is what she'd love to get into more because of her love for dogs. -
Thanks for all the advice guys, I've also had @crispymorgan on the phone to help through if I needed a modem router - which i now don't - so hoping a Netgear one will work better based on a few people grabbing one of them. I think I'll end up with the R8000 which if that don't fix it, nothing will π

Sea of Thieves continues to be fleshed out and now has become a pretty fun game with decent content to play. As @phil bottle says, it's not worth a full price, but I'm not sure it's still at that now anyway? Plus it's a great one to play with mates. I only play it when these guys are online.

How to get a start working with animals
GazzaGarratt replied to Nutcuttlit's topic in Any General Discussion
Nice one @Nutcuttlit ! my mum has always wanted to do something like this. A few questions to help her would be ace: Is there any books you can recommend her reading? I'm thinking more to understand about what types of medicines and critical things animals need. What types of volunteering jobs would you suggest doing? Specific animal jobs or general jobs across all like cleaning, feeding, etc? Maybe knowing what you did helps? -
Welcome to FG man, nice to see you coming over. Couldn't agree with Tommy but that's obvs π (and Phil's right, he's the worst π) You exclusively on PC or do you dabble on any other platform? Ever tried Vermintide 2 or Sea of Thieves? Just a couple of games I know we've had fun with for a few people here on PC. Hope you enjoy your stay and get involved where you can.

Fixed an issue where some faction armors were not correctly allowing players to apply Faction Rally ornaments to them. Seasonal mod sockets have been added to all armors available from world drops. See this article for more details. Players who met the requirements, but were missing Prestige ornaments for the Eater of Worlds raid lair, will now have them unlocked and available for use. New players can still obtain Prestige ornaments from completing the Prestige (Heroic) Eater of Worlds raid lair along with the appropriate Leviathan boss challenges. Fixed an issue that caused the Warlock Season Pass universal chest ornament to erroneously cause an unreleased eventβs universal ornament to also display as unlocked. Trials of Osiris Ghost Shell will now drop with Crucible-related perks. POWER AND PROGRESSION Four weekly Powerful gear sources upgraded to Pinnacle (+1): Crucible, Strike, and Gambit challenges, and the weekly clan engram. Fixed an issue where the Trials vendor engram was not previewing rewards at the correct power level. WEAPONS Fixed an issue with The Fourth Horseman where its Broadside perk would fail to replicate its effects over the network. Fixed an issue with Breech Loaded (Special ammo) Grenade Launchers that resulted in them having a significantly reduced blast radius. WORLD SYSTEMS Completing Warden of Nothing now counts for a Fallen boss kill for the weekly Strike bounty: Serve the Servitors. Fixed an issue causing Warden of Nothing to give double Champion Rewards. For the Wish-Ender Exotic quest, any players who were missing Uncharged Tokens after turning in their Awoken Talisman and then completing the "???" secret mission, will now find them in their Pursuits. If a player's Pursuits are full, they will find the Uncharged Tokens added once they've cleared some space and then returned to orbit or re-logged into Destiny 2. Dreaming City world chests are awarding Glimmer again. Fixed an issue where players could get blocked from obtaining the Essence from the Bad Juju mission The Other Side, preventing completion of the Bad Juju Exotic quest Spellbound. A player could get into a bad state if, before being on the quest themselves, they joined another player on the appropriate quest step, completed The Other Side mission, obtained the Essence, and then bound it to obtain Bad Juju. Players in this bad state, who have obtained Bad Juju and completed The Other Side mission, but have not completed the Spellbound Exotic quest, will now be able to Bind Essence at the altar to complete it. Fixed an issue causing a crash when players attempted to turn in their Awoken Talisman to the statue of Sjur Eido in the Shattered Throne dungeon. UI Made a change so that completed bounties now sort to the top of the bounty bucket, grouping them together. Friends listed in a player's roster should no longer show up as black nameplates with zero Power. GENERAL Fixed an issue where the Champion Servitor's invulnerability beams were not appearing during Seraph Tower events. Fixed a string identifying for the four Seraph weapons to include the word "Source:" so players know where to obtain the weapons. Fixed an issue where the Rasputin bounty, The Lost Classics was not counting Classic Mix matches. Added the activity rejoin functionality in the Trials playlist. Fixed an issue where fully upgrading a destination bunker sometimes doesn't unlock the Warmind Security Triumph. The βSeasonal Triumphs Completeβ field now increments when Triumphs are completed. Added Vex barriers to the Grove of Ulan-Tan Legendary Lost Sector. Fixed an issue in the Seraph Towers public event where Anaβs dialog would still call out towers being overwhelmed when the towers are down and Champions are present in the final phase. Fixed an issue affecting the difficulty scaling of several activities including Whisper of the Worm and Zero Hour missions. View full update

Jason Schreier Leaving Kotaku
GazzaGarratt replied to J4MES OX4D's topic in General Gaming Discussion
He was the only one I read from Kotaku, mainly through his Twitter feed. He could've left without the issues behind the scenes because of his connections and decent write ups. -
Oh and I should mention right now it's on PSN Sale Β£23.49. Considering half a dozen people have picked it up already I imagine it could be a good FG game to play in the coming months.

How in the world has this game past us by for this many months?! If you ever played Destruction Derby back in the day, this game has revamped and restyled it in a way that really works. Couldn't find many videos but this IGN review covers quite abit of it. Driving As you'd think on the face of it it's just an average smash up cars arcade game you'll be massively surprised how well the handling and overall driving experience is. I'd go as far as to say it's not far off GT Sport, probably on par with Dirt, which is impressive on it's own. Gamemodes There's Last Man Standing, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and then Racing - which includes the best for me which is Banger Racing. They give a lot variety coupled with different tracks. The risk of getting 'Wrecked' but going for the jugular on Banger Racing and Last Man Standing is awesome. You then also get the cheeky bar stewards nicking your kills in Deathmatch. Tracks Tons of tracks, lots of crossovers for ultimate destruction. It didn't take long to figure out what maps are which. So many different things can happen too. Won one race and then the next after 20 seconds I was literally obliterated on one straight! Destruction Oh man, so much damage can happen. It's even better when you see your engine smashed up and a wheel barely hanging on to your car. Makes up for all the laughs, especially in the most strangest cars/vans/trucks you'll see in a game. Cars There is a van that is called Killerpig, cos it is one. There is a Sofa Car, cos it's a Sofa Car. There's a School Bus, cos..you get it. And they all fit the game perfectly. Going hand in hand with the destruction and some more regular looking bangers cars, it all nicely fits into a big ball of metal and carnage. Multiplayer Max players I believe is 8 in our own lobby but you can add AI cars to make it 13. Theres also other lobbies you can join that are 16 players. I'm hoping it'll expand and support the 24 cars you can have in Deathmatch Single Playee mode. Tldr: Our GTA FG Races built on purpose to be played that way. Destruction Derby FTW.

What can the Sennheiser give you that the Astros cant just out of interest? I've actually never heard of them but clearly must be something special looking at them online. Did you also let the battery run down @phil bottle?
-
Also, I think I've come to the conclusion it's down to the Vodafone router because it can't travel as far neither can it hold too many devices. I need one to hold 30 to feel comfortable I dont need to expand and buy a further one.
-
Thanks guys. What's the difference between Nighthawk R7000 and D7000? I think that D7000 are modems aswell as routers but I'm unsure. I'd rather be looking at things like the R7000 because of its ratings but I need to be clear if it means another big box in the house next to the big Vodafone Router? Any help is greatly appreciated.
-
Ah, one of them. Music to my ears then πππ Bloody survival games π
-
Oh no man, I assume you have master reset them already? Could also be the Chat/Game big button a little stuck as it could be all on chat?
-
Yeah, the HDRs are pretty damn nice to pick up although they never come with a decent scope off the floor. I'm starting to agree with @Stretch616 on the Heartbeat Sensor. I think it's an automatic pick up when you're more worried about losing rather than focusing on an attacking winning strategy.
-
Did any of you get this? Looks smart as hell but would rather know if anyone here recommended first.
-
If we get more than 10 (which I know we will now) let's get 3 teams of 5 going when we're on, winner stays on in Private Matches and the other team can go play in a Quickplay or Ranked game. That way, we all have lolz still ππΊ
-
A legendary LMG is spot on starting out but the swapping of guns can kill you later on in close quarters circles. @ChaosGladiator any way you can get akimbo guns from drops or crates instead of your own loadout? Haven't really seen any come to think of it. @G_dub52 , @Stretch616 won an awesome battle with no loadout drops just after Tom @LordBaguette said you'll barely win any games without your own loadout ππ I'm also alot more silenced kegendary SMGs and ARs in the wild - and these are working wonders at picking teams off. I've gotta get used to knowing which ones are which because theres usually variant names for them all.
-
Happy Half Century Day Gary @techno !!! Hope you enjoy it with the family bud ππΊπ

Time to get my connection sorted me hearties! Really interested in that Emissary system and the fact there should be previous questions some of us have never touched. @Nutcuttlit @phil bottle @tronic44 @Diddums @Shucker @crispymorgan and anyone else that has/hasn't got it, what do you reckon?
