  1. Season one looks to be a bust. Two old maps brought back is simply not good enough especially as they are both gimmicky ones and similarly sized. Shipment has been redone almost as many times as Treyarch's Black Ops ones and Shoothouse is very Marmite and not as widely popular or iconic as they assume - it was just a marginally better map in a game riddled with mostly poor a very few 6v6 ones and that's about it. This would only really be acceptable if there were 3 brand new maps introduced and we still have no word about Museum returning or how the race track and hotel may still be removed. Two guns is also a pretty lame offering and I couldn't give a monkeys toss about operators. They are also being very quiet about Raids so I'm guessing they are gonna be some weak-ass Spec-ops type crap. Simply not good enough. DMZ was also met with quite a lot of criticism last night during the rather deflated event - seems to be their take on Battlefield's embarrassing Hazard Zone attempt and whilst this looks to have more variety, it's still a very threadbare mode where you are largely battling brainless bots and doing mundane tasks. This will probably fizzle out after a few weeks. Looks like Warzone will dominate as per usual and the core multiplayer will be shafted for a few months at least. It's nice to see challenges, Hardcore and all that coming in but that's really a bare minimum expectation.
  2. Oh I also forgot to mention the gunsmith which is actually the lamest part of the entire game. Not only the overwhelming majority of gear a hindrance to your gun, it's bloated beyond belief and has terribly unclear description conflicts, Without providing an impact report back to the user on how attachments affect your gun especially ones that negatively stack, a coloured red or green line which cannot be adequately measured is embarrassingly pointless. This is supposed to be a really key part of the game and they've completely botched it right off the bat to the extent, I can't see this aspect recovering. Only a total overhaul would suffice and that would include removing about 60% of gear included within and redoing each one logically.
  3. Just unlocked the AK74u - forgot it existed with all the variants but safe to say, this one will be getting a painful nerf
  4. I quite enjoyed it but it's not without its flaws. Gunplay is solid, visuals are nice and the maps are largely very playable for 6v6 although we really could've done with more especially the museum omitted and both Taraq and the border being unbearable. Perk system was a needless change and I think the weapon unlock framework is just very convoluted although I do appreciate them forcing players to try new guns and the fact camos are universal. The spawns are awful especially on the larger maps and the interface is an absolute embarrassment - probably the poorest and most dysfunctional imaginable. A lot is riding on season one in terms of content - Warzone 2 will split the community significantly and we will need at least 5 new maps, lifetime challenges and other staple features introduced bare minimum. This pre-season has been more of a beta so the major season release will need to deliver else this game will be in trouble come December. I also think the atmopshere is a bit flat in matches - I really miss the iconic MW2 faction sounds and subtle ambient music. Aside from that, if they deliver the content and fix the issues then it should be a solid game. Some things wont be changed as it's part of their stubborn design philosophy but the core experience is definitely better than most COD games we've seen in the last few years.
  5. The Embassy map is also embedded in the Warzone 2 map and if you use freecam, you can see so much of the environment including the Highrise map. It does lower in quality the further away you go but it's crazy how many unseen scenery assets are included in these maps when not even in use. There are quite a few maps that are embedded into the new Warzone map including Mercado Las Almas which I saw in a recent ground war match.
  6. It depends on the map - I've found the Fortress and Mercado pretty ideal for doubles whereas the bigger ones can be a bit trickier like the hotel and race track. Flanking and choke points usually can get easy doubles. What I have noticed is when you need to complete the challenge, things become harder yet I was firing off doubles galore when I wasn't going for it🤣 If you think doubles are bad, I need to get 20 mounted kills with the bloody AK47 at some stage and play like a right camping bellend!
  7. Also did the TAQ-56 last night gold. Having some issues with the VEL requirement because it doesn't seem to track every double kill I've got which is bloody annoying!
  8. Looks like one of those Black Ops 1 bots in combat training🤣
  9. New MWII Premium Content release coming next year which will likely cost the same as a full priced game and be formed like an expansion Call of Duty Will Get 'Full Premium Release' in 2023, Rumored to be Modern Warfare 2 Expansion - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard says the annualized franchise will see a "full premium release" in 2023. Activision were never gonna let slide missing out on the money they would've got with a new COD game. If they want the new content to sell well then they'd better sort out the heaps of issues with the base game first. A year is plenty of time but this needs to be sorted way sooner because the honeymoon phase wont last forever.
  10. Another thing that I'm quite baffled about in regards to the interface is on the killcams, they are using placeholder assets showing what gun you were killed with - literally just a black and white drawing🤣 The expectation with a game of this standard is that you see the exact image of the gun as seen in the gunsmith will all the attachments and preferably a list even though it doesn't hold much relevance to most players. Just another really dismal part of the inconsistent presentation.
  11. I also can't believe people are willing to pay money just to rank up to level 55🤣It's so routine to reach max rank and there's not many benefits. Still, such a silly oversight not to secure a code.
  12. They are pretty horrible to use in core - you really need to pre-aim and get the first two shots in just to stand a chance and nine times out of 10, you get overpowered with any AR even landing the first shot. If anyone needs to rank these up, the best place is probably Invasion where you wont get relentlessly hammered in close quarters sweatfests.
  13. Finally unlocked the Hurricane today - haven't seen many of them around and that's probably largely thanks having to reach level 16 with the FTAC RECON which is probably the worst gun I've ever used. 5 round battle rifle where you need to land ever bullet perfectly plus it takes and age to ADS and reload. Spent most of it doing Invasion because you just don't stand a chance in any of the core modes with that gun. Also sucks at range too.
  14. Taraq also has a ground war variant although this one is a bit different and less bleak. Pretty open and still pretty horrible but at least there isn't a million rooftops or rooms for people to camp with.
  15. Once you reach max rank, you don't receive an after action report outlining what guns you've leveled up so you have to keep going into the class to check. Another really silly interface information oversight.
  16. Someone else has had another crack using existing artifacts:- - daily challenges don't overlap your team line up and are placed into the acres of space on the right side of the screen - message of the day is shrunk rather than taking up the whole screen prior to launching the MP component - modes are clearly displayed in list form rather than as multiple large panels Simple really!

  18. Until today, I haven't really paid any attention to the camo completionist part of the game - mostly because on PC, the interface has been partly busted and I've only just bothered to research the fix. I decided to pick up the M4 again after not using it for a many days and earned gold pretty comfortably Will probably work towards the VEL 46 tomorrow as I've not go far to go on that and then come back to finish off the M4 as well as try and unlock the Hurricane via the FCRAP RECON.
  19. I've thumbed them all up apart from Santa Sena and Taraq. They're all pretty playable 6v6 maps - nothing that will go down in COD folklore but it's much better than having 3 decent ones, 3 awful ones and 3 you never want to play ever. I maintain, whoever is responsible for the border crossing map should be jailed.
  20. Currently 94 on Meta and another technical masterpiece
  21. Yeah, it's completely killed the Gunsmith for me. The real fun about this aspect was building a fully-kitted gun and balancing the positive effects with the negative but here, if you have 3 or more attachments, you will be at a disadvantage in at least two areas - usually ADS time or recoil which are pretty key, unless you cancel them out and then it's basically the same as the gun being barebones by default. Without them providing the numbers either, it is also impossible to determine the true impact that these effects have. You can literally have a gun where ADS time is reduced 4 times which is likely crippling but it's silly that we don't know if it's 0.1 seconds or something like 0.5 seconds for each attachment. I've found one underbarrel which has no negatives and about 10 attachments on some guns which have exactly the same +/-. Even the blueprint builds must be catastrophically bad! There's just too much bloat and it's a headache trying to sift through trying to craft a gun even just choosing 2-3 attachments in the basic sense. The whole thing needs a rework really.
  22. There's been strong rumours of an MGS1 remake in the last year or so but with Kojima gone and Konami being bastards, even if it did happen, I don't think they'd do a very good job. Konami also hate making money it seems as they have so many big IP's on their books but they don't seem to want to make the most of them.
  23. About half of COD players just go for kills. They know full well that they are playing an objective mode and what is required to win but most of the time they will only seek as many kills as possible even if the team loses heavily. I don't think this attitude will ever change - they've tried in the past to bolster objective XP and reduce kill XP but even then people will rather go 21-9 and 0 captures than 30-27, 7 captures, a win plus a fat load of XP on top.
  24. I've finally overcome Covid-19 after testing positive on October 26th after falling ill the previous night. Today I tested negative which was a mighty relief as it was becoming more mentally exhausting than any persistent symptoms. I believe I caught it on the 22nd at the Oxford v Peterborough game but it was only until the Tuesday night after did I fall ill with an extreme headache, chronic fatigue and then body aches and pains along with a very sore throat. Hit me hard for a couple of days but then things were pretty mild but still rather unsettling. The most prominent symptom was actually sweating buckets in bed but I never really had a temperature or felt hot. I'm still suffering from coughing episodes now and then but it looks like I'm on the mend.
  25. Good overview of how woefully designed the Gunsmith is - some attachments don't even tell you how to unlock them and others have very unclear definitions on their impact
