  1. I think most of the maps extracted from ground war were still hand-crafted from the ground up rather than simply cherrypicked as warzone locations deemed suitable for core multiplayer. These maps are definitely more detailed and refined when compared to how they appear on the full scale map. They are actually not too bad and whether it was a chicken or egg situation as to how it was executed, the developers have not done a good job of explaining their work, however I don't think they need to as the maps work pretty well in most cases. What the developers do have to answer to is what was going through their minds when they decided to produce to-scale real-world locations without permissions or copyright. This is an astonishing oversight really. I don't know how these maps were born - probably some of the devs got inspired by locations outside of the Warzone map and completely lost sight of common sense. Can't fault the detail and the way they are replicated but it's just bizarre inclusions all round especially with areas not even associated with the game. My real complaint is the lack of terrain variety with this method - we have no snow and the likes of the race track act as a bit of a blessing as it's something different when compared to the South American backdrop. On the whole though, I think most of the maps work well in the modes on offer irrespective of how they were designed but I am a bit miffed at the lack of content especially with season one.
  2. Tried third person mode earlier and it's actually pretty good fun! Had a cracking match of Hardpoint on Embassy that went down to the last 2 seconds - as you can see, my team were pure ass
  3. If it's a forced uninstall then I will just remove MWII altogether. Can't see it being this way though but you never know what Activision will do.
  4. Pretty disgraceful really especially to the standard console users. The developers (primarily Raven) are perfectly capable of either compressing the game hard or putting more of a burden on their internal servers especially as it's a live service game. The updates will probably be 15-40gb at a time too.
  5. This is hilarious
  6. Can't wait to pick this up towards the end of the month! Original was one of my most favourite games ever and this looks like it improves no end. Definitely one of the most polished and technically impressive titles out there.
  7. Just tried to report a couple of new bot posts and it says 'oops you've already reported that'
  8. I've just see what the Birdseye perk can do too - literally gives you a constant advanced UAV for the rest of the game. Literally more powerful than the actual killstreak.
  9. I am baffled that the UAV tells you whether enemies are above or below the player - it's like a partial advanced UAV and makes things very easy for experienced players. You can literally pinpoint what floor a player is on and adjust your approach accordingly without having to worry about walking into a risky situation. Not sure what IW were going for with this - trying to benefit weak players most probably but seasoned ones will pounce on things like this. I run CUAV at all times.
  10. Alba FREE on Epic until the 17th https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/alba-a-wildlife-adventure-93736a
  11. Found another AK variant that I did't know existed - this one really tears The exclusive barrel has 4x positives and the grip cancels out a couple of key negatives from the barrel so it balances itself out quite well with some added benefits which is actually very rare. Got a nice sound to it too. First game with this setup
  12. Pre-season = paid beta🤣
  13. *forgot I already answered this🤣
  14. Yeah it's complete bollocks really. Even COD mobile has extensive in-depth numbered data yet we've gone back to the plain bigger bar format. The attachments also don't provide any feedback as to their true impact especially when stacked and the firing range they have in-game is just a total waste of time for testing weapons. I've always said they included the damage dealt feature in the past without knowing why and the one time they remove it from the game is the only one where it's actually needed to compensate for the statistics they've removed. If I'm running 3 attachments that reduce my ADS time, I would like to know by how long. 0.1 second for each one is fine but if it was 0.5 then that would be a big issue even with just one.
  15. They are probably saving all those for the £70 Premium DLC next year. They already have many classic maps made because they are available in Warzone 2 but they'll either be paywalled or strategically released in the future. If they wanted to, they could easily give us 25 maps at launch but they don't wish to detract from Warzone and want to milk the few dedicated remaining deathmatch players left. The 2 new maps is just a kick in the teeth really - they could also easily port over some MW2019 maps too.
  16. Season one looks to be a bust. Two old maps brought back is simply not good enough especially as they are both gimmicky ones and similarly sized. Shipment has been redone almost as many times as Treyarch's Black Ops ones and Shoothouse is very Marmite and not as widely popular or iconic as they assume - it was just a marginally better map in a game riddled with mostly poor a very few 6v6 ones and that's about it. This would only really be acceptable if there were 3 brand new maps introduced and we still have no word about Museum returning or how the race track and hotel may still be removed. Two guns is also a pretty lame offering and I couldn't give a monkeys toss about operators. They are also being very quiet about Raids so I'm guessing they are gonna be some weak-ass Spec-ops type crap. Simply not good enough. DMZ was also met with quite a lot of criticism last night during the rather deflated event - seems to be their take on Battlefield's embarrassing Hazard Zone attempt and whilst this looks to have more variety, it's still a very threadbare mode where you are largely battling brainless bots and doing mundane tasks. This will probably fizzle out after a few weeks. Looks like Warzone will dominate as per usual and the core multiplayer will be shafted for a few months at least. It's nice to see challenges, Hardcore and all that coming in but that's really a bare minimum expectation.
  17. Oh I also forgot to mention the gunsmith which is actually the lamest part of the entire game. Not only the overwhelming majority of gear a hindrance to your gun, it's bloated beyond belief and has terribly unclear description conflicts, Without providing an impact report back to the user on how attachments affect your gun especially ones that negatively stack, a coloured red or green line which cannot be adequately measured is embarrassingly pointless. This is supposed to be a really key part of the game and they've completely botched it right off the bat to the extent, I can't see this aspect recovering. Only a total overhaul would suffice and that would include removing about 60% of gear included within and redoing each one logically.
  18. Just unlocked the AK74u - forgot it existed with all the variants but safe to say, this one will be getting a painful nerf
  19. I quite enjoyed it but it's not without its flaws. Gunplay is solid, visuals are nice and the maps are largely very playable for 6v6 although we really could've done with more especially the museum omitted and both Taraq and the border being unbearable. Perk system was a needless change and I think the weapon unlock framework is just very convoluted although I do appreciate them forcing players to try new guns and the fact camos are universal. The spawns are awful especially on the larger maps and the interface is an absolute embarrassment - probably the poorest and most dysfunctional imaginable. A lot is riding on season one in terms of content - Warzone 2 will split the community significantly and we will need at least 5 new maps, lifetime challenges and other staple features introduced bare minimum. This pre-season has been more of a beta so the major season release will need to deliver else this game will be in trouble come December. I also think the atmopshere is a bit flat in matches - I really miss the iconic MW2 faction sounds and subtle ambient music. Aside from that, if they deliver the content and fix the issues then it should be a solid game. Some things wont be changed as it's part of their stubborn design philosophy but the core experience is definitely better than most COD games we've seen in the last few years.
  20. The Embassy map is also embedded in the Warzone 2 map and if you use freecam, you can see so much of the environment including the Highrise map. It does lower in quality the further away you go but it's crazy how many unseen scenery assets are included in these maps when not even in use. There are quite a few maps that are embedded into the new Warzone map including Mercado Las Almas which I saw in a recent ground war match.
  21. It depends on the map - I've found the Fortress and Mercado pretty ideal for doubles whereas the bigger ones can be a bit trickier like the hotel and race track. Flanking and choke points usually can get easy doubles. What I have noticed is when you need to complete the challenge, things become harder yet I was firing off doubles galore when I wasn't going for it🤣 If you think doubles are bad, I need to get 20 mounted kills with the bloody AK47 at some stage and play like a right camping bellend!
  22. Also did the TAQ-56 last night gold. Having some issues with the VEL requirement because it doesn't seem to track every double kill I've got which is bloody annoying!
  23. Looks like one of those Black Ops 1 bots in combat training🤣
  24. New MWII Premium Content release coming next year which will likely cost the same as a full priced game and be formed like an expansion Call of Duty Will Get 'Full Premium Release' in 2023, Rumored to be Modern Warfare 2 Expansion - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard says the annualized franchise will see a "full premium release" in 2023. Activision were never gonna let slide missing out on the money they would've got with a new COD game. If they want the new content to sell well then they'd better sort out the heaps of issues with the base game first. A year is plenty of time but this needs to be sorted way sooner because the honeymoon phase wont last forever.
