I don't think I will buy this again, not even for the PC and the mods. I finished it once and it was a great way to depart the last generation but online it didn't have much longevity and once you finished the story; there wasn't much to do.
I had a 360 for 7 years but had to switch to the PS4 when I discovered Microsoft were backstabbing twats who can't maintain a decision and have a limited selection of exclusive games worth playing. The damage has been done for me and no matter what they do in the future; the way they have treated the industry isn't for the good of the gamer.
Just played a quick match of Heist on the High Tension map and it's pretty good fun. It's a bit weird because it's Battlefield scaled down to a lesser size which makes for fast and frantic fun. The beta is a bit rough just the like BF4 one but you can get a real feel of how it's going to play out and I think the concept is pretty good.
Heist seems good fast fun in which you either play as cops or criminals and you have to recover cash from the enemy spawn and deposit back in the vehicle at your own spawn. First to reach 5m or so wins. I finished top on my first game but only went 6-2 but deposited the most cash. The controls seem a bit clunky on PC though but I dunno if this is due to it being a beta.
I'll have a more detailed look at it tomorrow including the unlocking and buying feature in Battlelog but it's good to experience the game as it's something different and I really didn't expect to be playing the beta so soon.
It's funny how the game was shown at the Xbox conference with a guy pretending to play the game with an Xbox controller but actually the footage was pre-recorded on a high-end PC and he wasn't even playing
Even on the top of the range PC's on release; I am expecting many textures to be scaled back. Ubisoft have a habit of demoing scripted scenes with enhanced textures for promotional purposes. COD AW may have looked a bit naff on the XB1 but at least Sledgehammer had the bottle to show the game off as face value.
Out today here for PC and PS4 http://www.battlefield.com/hardline/beta but fuck me everything keeps crashing because of the demand. I blame EA as usual
I take everything that the pros say with a pinch of salt. Most of them bummed Ghosts to buggery and then they slated it when it was released. I hope they're right though as I couldn't go through another year of a Ghosts-like experience.
I've bought this today and hopefully I'll be able to have a crack on it tomorrow after work in between the E3 COD demonstration and Coronation Street.
I'm really looking forward to playing this. it may be bug-ridden but that's expected and lacking content but the concept is very interesting and there is still quite a bit on offer nevertheless. Can't believe 4 people made this on a budget of peanuts and it still looks better than some major games today. Call of Duty Ghosts for one
I definitely look forward to supporting this project.
Gutted the Sony conference doesn't start until 2am GMT Things like this that want to make me emigrate Kinda wish I lived in New Delhi for this
Still be nice to catch the highlights at the breakfast table
Microsoft conference is gonna be shit. They've had to change so much of the console already; they'll probably announce a name change tomorrow to the Xbox 720p or something
Anyone else watching the E3 stream tomorrow? Looks like some of the shows wont be appearing in the UK until very late in the day so I may have to have a detailed look the following morning. The Sony conference doesn't start until 2am GMT I don't think!
I'll certainly watch a bit of it live but it sucks that Microsoft kick off the show

I can't wait for this. It's just gone live on Steam and we only have 9 months, 1 week and 3 days left until release
Save 10% if you preorder it which makes it £34.99 but I reckon I'll do that later in the year.
Can't wait to see more of this at E3
