It puts everything into perspective what those veterans and their fallen soldiers did for us and our futures. Looking at the world today; it's very depressing and I think far too many people don't realise their contribution and sacrifice made. I am privileged to have known many vets in my time and I always love a good old story down the pub from them. It certainly beats talking to some modern day tart bitching about one of her friends or her love life. I appreciate so much what they have done for everyone but too many in this day and age don't have a fucking clue. I was taken aback the tributes the other day and the scenes and it was a truly special moment even in my generation. Even the cunts at Google forgot to do the tribute on their homepage doodles. Fucking sums up this shitty modern, ignorant and horrible era that we live in today.

No official confirmed date yet but a few whispers on the community circuit reckon June 17th.

I'll be preordering and getting this game day one as usual as I am quietly confident in AW and Sledgehammer as a whole. It's a bit risky but I miss playing Call of Duty and how it used to be. I am more optimistic this time than I was a year ago as Advanced Warfare represents a true next gen game and I am intrigued by what I've seen so far. The day Ghosts gets banished from memory will be a good day for all. The game has really tainted the franchise and it doesn't seem to sit anywhere in the series. It feels like a spin-off or some casual game with silly elements. The community morale and player counts are at such a low point and while there has been a few other titles as alternatives; it just left a gaping hole in my social gaming time. I've had a nice break though from COD and whilst I'm not as pumped as I used to be in anticipation for AW; I hope the months leading up to release will be exciting and full of new ideas. A challenging game design and longevity-driven structure along with a solid and consistent connection is a major requirement though for my long term interest.

Does anyone remember if they showed Ghosts MP last year at E3? I know they kickoff with the campaign but I just don't know if the MP gets shown there, or just generally not at an event or if its Eurogamer. I always do the campaigns but the footage never really excites but with AW; I am looking forward to seeing the game in action with the new engine and textures. I'm sick of bloody screenshots! I don't game much because I spend most of my time buying games on Steam Multiplayer games have become very popular with me in recent years but it's nice to escape and play a deep story-driven game once in a while. I tend to avoid games that are short. I'm playing games more frequently and for longer periods than years ago and some games can be done in just a weekend over 5-6 hours. Back in the day; games like Goldeneye I could piss about on for months and not get bored but my expectations are higher now and with me and others playing more; if I go for a single player game; it has to be on an epic scale like Skyrim. £40-50 for a measly game in this day and age and with money; ain't worth it. I love FPS games best but strategy, sports and RPG's are massive genres for me. I mainly play MP on shooters because of their longevity and infrastructure. Usually they offer more depth than the likes of GTA and you can really have a few good sessions on them. Civ and Total War are fantastic games I like in the strategic area and any RPG's whether being an MMO, single player or niche like survival games are also on my hit list. I still go back to classic games like System Shock 2 and I always keep my eyes open on Steam for any games that come out of nowhere. I tend to avoid racing games now though. After GTA; racing just doesn't do anything for me now. I used to play Gran Turismo on the PS1 and that lasted me years but half our on the likes of Forza and I just wanted to get out the car and shoot someone. Work and football gets in the way sometimes but there's always plenty of games to play and keep an eye on. Except on the Xbox One

This game looks amazing. At times it almost looks like real life. Just hope the gameplay matches the graphics.

If this has the connection of IW games and brilliance of Treyarch; it'll be a fantastic COD game. If this has the connection of Treyarch games and the brilliance of IW; it'll be a complete fuck up. I am quietly confident in this game though. I just don't know what to expect but that's the fun of it now.

Kevin Spacey is king. Shame he'll probably be remembered by the younger generation for Call of Duty and not the fantastic movies he's done or his input in theater productions.

I'm not sure when they started on AW but I believe they were working on two projects that got scrapped around that time; a third-person COD and a MMO based iteration. I would have thought development started around early 2012 after they scrapped their initial ideas.

CD Projekt has announced GOG Galaxy which is a DRM-free online gaming platform. You can play games without needing an internet connection. Also it includes crossplay with Steam users. Nice! Too much bullshit these days with DRM restrictions and conditions. Be nice to get back to the old days where shit was simple

Oh Phil that's a fail They're pretty good games and the third is supposed to be good fun. I'll definitely be getting this. Another reason I'm glad not to have gotten and Xbox One
