  1. @phil You still going to the Sheffield United match Wednesday?
  2. Cracking crowd at Portman Road last night but quite a tough task for Ipswich in the end. It was extremely tight (and boring ) until Shane Long scored (great finish) but the hosts just couldn't get anything going in the final third. Southampton really pressed Ipswich on the ball which made it hard for them to get comfortable on the ball and create any solid chances. McGoldrick should have passed instead of shooting towards the end of the first half as that was a rare and very decent opportunity and the only other clear chance was the header just after half time. The Saints didn't really threaten much either but they looked solid and not in any real danger to concede. Southampton have looked incredible all year and there is a real possibility of them getting a CL place. Ipswich also have a real chance of getting back into the Prem from what I've seen of them on the box this season. Poor old Millwall fans last night Great win for Spurs too after being 2-0 down after 8 minutes!
  3. Apparently if you play DOTA2; you can become fluent in Russian within 6 weeks. I'm really tempted to give it a try
  4. Still on the fence with this one. I'm pretty bored already with AW but I still have Final Stand to sift through in detail on BF4 and that game is running to an immense standard now. I saw the PC version beta will have a 64 man Conquest mode with 6,400 tick-rate so I'm definitely going to give it a try. The game costs £49.99 on Origin but I can get it for £22.49 elsewhere so for that kinda money; could definitely be worth a punt but I don't think it will have the booming grand scale of BF4 though.
  5. Game comes out at 6pm GMT. I've done quite a bit more research into the game and still not completely overwhelmed but the inventory system and crafting looks decent plus the anti-cheat and server-hop preventions are major positives. Only Sony servers will be available for the time being but they can support up to 500 players at this present time I think with a view to increase to 1,000 which will certainly make things interesting. The real-time weather and base building really adds to the concept too. Could be a welcome temporary departure from DayZ until they make sweeping improvements. I can't see H1Z1 dethroning DayZ but it certainly has some good material going forward and probably less technical woes. The game also looks like it could hold a steady framerate throughout which is something DayZ has struggled with and will continue to do so even into completion IMO. I will probably have a look at H1Z1 later but I'm only going to invest in the bog-standard edition for starters.
  6. I was initially interested in H1Z1 but it looks like a really weak DayZ clone with a bland and empty setting plus mediocre mechanics. The engine looks ancient also. I'll still give it a shot tomorrow probably but my expectations are pretty minimal. Can't believe we have to pay to play the alpha but the final release is free - should be the other way round in all honesty.
  7. Seriously cannot wait for this game next month! Picked up the original in the Steam sale for £1.04 and it's one of the most enjoyable, challenging and addictive games I've played. Great mechanics, soundtrack and design. Anyone interested in the forthcoming sequel?
  8. GOG is listing Grim Fandango Remastered for £9.29 for release on 27th. Classic game that deserves a reboot!
  9. I've played FPS mode on the PS4 and it's very well implemented on foot but the driving mechanics are a bit cumbersome but it's nothing that can't be tweaked on PC within the first week. I expect a mod will be released to enhance the vehicle physics authenticity so it feels more like a simulator when driving. On the PS4; the driving feels really loose and is extremely difficult to control. You can alter the sensitivity but this also affects the player movement at the same time so it's pretty unworkable. I think you'll really enjoy it Tommy even if you aren't a massive GTA fan. I've finished the story on the 360 and PS4 versions and in all honesty am pretty burnt out on the base game but I'm really looking forward to the mods and it'll feel like an entirely new experience in time.
  10. Plus the modding scene is going to be insane! A few of the key modders are planning some huge add-ons in terms of cars, new cities, new characters and even new campaigns. I just hope R* have done the honorable thing and made the SDK available to them already else we'll be waiting bloody ages. The MP should be a good laugh too with Heists still on the horizon...
  11. Good idea Joe! At least you'll be flogging to trustworthy people and know your items are going to a good home.
  12. I said that in the first line Joe Phil will be peeved as he was much looking forward to it this month! I have it for the PS4 so my cravings can be satisfied whenever but I am a bit gutted to see the game being held back for a couple more months My Xbox 360 copy I am holding onto for sentimental value and I hope one day it will appear in a retro gaming museum

  14. Papers Please £1.99 on Humble Bundle Amazing deal and fantastic game!
  15. First person PC mod for MGS GZ
  16. Thanks Phil! You had a look at the rival game Elite & Dangerous? Doesn't seem half as polished as Star Citizen in the slightest!
  17. Agree Tommy. Since MW3, I've just found the pacing in COD to be too fast and frantic and most tactics go out the window. If you have a good connection; it's too easy to dominate especially in CQC. I miss the old days especially the Treyarch ones with the map variety from small to extra large. Even the bigger maps on the likes of Black Ops worked really well in all modes as the way they designed seemed to centralise the action into key areas without the matches being too cramped or pacey. Seems COD is more influenced by eSports these days though despite only 0.5% of players having a dedicated interest. The ES structure and demands I just don't like and it feels the fun has been zapped out of the series. I'd love to see Treyarch bring COD back to a mainstream mentality and it would be great to see a wealth of varied maps of different sizes and styles.
  18. http://forevergaming.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/725-the-division/ 18 months ago; Ubisoft were untouchable and I thought they would dominate this gen but their powerhouse of IP's seem to be getting worse by the game. I was once mesmerised by The Division but it'll probably turn out to be a bag of shite. I'm expecting a terrible server service, downgraded visuals, upscaled textures removed, bland gameplay and Ubisoft's usual ethos of shitty game design.
  19. Sorry to see you still haven't got this resolved yet Joe. Have you tried the Far Cry 4 game hub discussions on Steam yet? http://steamcommunity.com/app/298110/discussions/Worth a look and in most cases particularly with cunts like Ubishaft; you'll get more sense and help out of the community than the game staff themselves!

  21. I hope so but at this present time only the PS3 version has a physical copy and that's for Asia only. The current import price for the multi-language version with RE branding as opposed to Biohazard is £129.99 Certainly makes the £16 digital copies look a much more attractive purchase I really hope they do box it like we saw with Minecraft going from digital to physical but I wouldn't expect it anytime soon sadly.
  22. The Samsung 40 inch 5000 TV is a great price at £279 which is £200 cheaper than what it was in the summer. I have the SmartTV equivalent for £350 and it's great!
  23. Resident Evil HD Remaster coming out on Jan 20th and will cost £15.99
