I 'finished' Arkham Knight yesterday - excellent game throughout but just a tragedy it had to be played on such low settings I did the main story and all the side quests minus finishing the Riddler trophies and it took 35 hours which was great for £21. Still have the Harley Quinn DLC to do but I'll probably run through that post-patch but wont be indulging in any other season pass content under the shitty circumstances on release. £33 for the pass is a fucking joke even if the game was epic and flawless at launch. May do the Riddler trophies now and again and try to get all 250-odd but I'm feeling a bit burnt out with it at this moment in time. Brilliant game though

Well the Lionesses went out in typical English fashion - it was either going to be penalties or a last-gasp disaster and it was the latter. We played well in what was a cagey game but didn't take our chances in that second half spell we had and Japan; who were utter garbage all game going forward, nicked it in hideous fashion. Confirmed today that it will move entirely online by Jan 2016. Shows are already being shifted with the new series of Family Guy debuting on BBC 2 at 21:45 on Sunday. Not too disappointed to see the back of this channel in all honesty - too many shit shows on there nowadays and it's hard to believe it originally created the likes of Two Pints, Little Britain and Gavin & Stacey. I have enjoyed a few documentaries on there over the years and Family Guy has always been a good late night watch along with Russell Howard but some of the garbage on there in the last few years has been utterly mortifying.

I didn't even notice the update until today I've configured it so it's running pretty well now although not maxed out as the game itself isn't even optimised to have that option in it's current state

I've managed to get about 10 hours of gameplay out of AK so far - epic game but shit port. I'm playing on dramatically reduced settings with 60fps and it's running reasonably well but it's not what I invested in that's for sure What's more embarrassing is all the specialist nVidia additions are recommended to be turned OFF for a better performance - that's like being invited to a swanky party but not being allowed in the bloody door! Can't see it being patched anytime soon either.

The devs killed CoD for me - every release gets more user-friendly with simplistic mechanics and stupidly OP rewards for doing jack shit. If you have a good connection; it's far too easy. Tactics are now out the window on these tiny 3 lane maps as pure gunplay is the order of the day - if you can handle the basic no-recoil weapons and have a stable connection on your side; it's 25-40 kills guaranteed. I just think they've tried to make the franchise so streamlined for all ability players that experienced one can actually use the dumbed-down gameplay style to an even greater advantage and the crap players just remain crap. Looking at BO3 and all the perks, equipment and general classes; it's just gonna be the same old shit and I'm expecting chronic balance issues and tonnes of OP exploits. The MP trailer looked exhausting and things like that bow and from what I've seen of it in the matches already; it's just so easy to use. I think it'll be be on big headache and as this is a Treyarch game; it'll be bad bullet detection and shit connections all round. I know if I get the game I'll be playing HC mode as per usual in their games.

Last ever Jeremy Clarkson and co Top Gear on tonight - 75 minute special with bits cobbled together from the few episodes that weren't aired after his suspension. It's expected to be announced next week the new 'Top Gear' with Clarkson, Hammond and May which is rumoured to be launching on Netflix or something.

I've uploaded some artwork on my Steam after editing the nVidia logo before the menu screen. I haven't altered it too much but the subtle changes are bang on the money

The game has currently been suspended from sale in the Steam Store. I flagged the product for 'False Advertising' after they published the statement:- "WBGames is working with the PC DEVELOPER IRON GALAXY to address the issues ASAP. Rocksteady will provide any support to get this resolved." As the listed developer is Rocksteady on their store page which contradicts what they said in their message. If I knew beforehand that this was an Iron Galaxy port; I wouldn't have fucking bought it

I've just had a brief play of the game and it's a stuttering mess. The truth is all coming out now - they offloaded the PC port to a shitty studio called Iron Galaxy and they've delivered what is basically an old gen console game. As if 30fps isn't bad enough; framerate going between 10-20fps standard and then fluctuating like crazy after I edited the config file - it's a total shambles. Glad I only coughed up £21 for this POS. Hopefully they'll patch the hell out of it shortly and Rocksteady get their arses into gear and do the job they were supposed to. Feel sorry for the people that spent £60+ with the season pass but at least they can get refunds now.

I reckon I'll crack on with that next though when I'm done with Ori and The Blind Forest.

I picked up The Witcher 3 in the sale for £45 and refunded it after about 20 minutes of play. The frame rate was fluctuating like crazy and it was really choppy in places. The controls were also a bit loose and I just couldn't be arsed with it in the end. May pick it up on the PS4 for a tenner down the line but it's certainly not worth the asking price even in the sale especially with its inconsistency running on different rigs that surpass the requirements.

I thought Fallout 3 was just buggered all round but it appears it does work on a few setups but not everyone's. Ah glad it works and I may get it myself before the sale is over as it was great on the 360. I bought Ori and The Blind Forest and it's fucking amazing - don't let the missus have that; give her Project Cars and keep that one for yourself Encore day today and there really ain't much left that interests me - Elite Dangerous still holding out at £30 and everything else I pretty much have that I would want. May make an 11th hour purchase of Metro Redux but I'm happy with what I've got so far really.

Fallout 3 doesn't work on Windows 7 or 8.1 but New Vegas is fine for everyone I think.
