  1. Yeah, I was still happy with my 770 and probably would've got another 18 months out of it had the PC not broke. I actually didn't think there would be any affordable builds available with the GPU price scaling but luckily there was still some good prices that weren't deliberately bumped up.
  2. Grrrr! Must be a Madonna fan
  3. It's black and has lights on it My old PC packed itself in where only a complete reformat and re-installation of everything would fix it and I couldn't be arsed with that shit so I decided to get another one instead. Was gonna build my own over a week but with the prices of graphics cards and as I simply could not be arsed; I just grabbed this instead https://www.chillblast.com/chillblast-fusion-gtx-1070-custom-gaming-pc-3.html That'll do me for the next six years I reckon. Takes 11 seconds to boot, nice and quiet plus a good warranty included. I even get 120fps playing PUBG in ultra which is almost too good to be true
  4. My availability is horrendous but I hope to join in at some stage as I don't get much of a chance to game with people these days due to work/life commitments. I just spent a fortune on a new PC so I need to get some use out of it
  5. Modern Warfare 2 Remastered without the multiplayer is like a salad without lettuce.
  6. This escalated quickly http://www.skysports.com/cricket/news/12351/11304548/reaction-to-australian-players-almost-bordering-on-hatred-in-south-africa-says-sir-ian-botham Has to be the most bizarre case of cheating I've ever seen in any sport. Not only are they the best in the world by far anyway, why do something so cheap that you couldn't even get away with it in the 90's when TV cameras weren't so advanced!? This may mean sod all in most countries but Cricket in Australia is like royalty and there's already been a national day of mourning. Stupid sport anyway. Rounders is better.
  7. This is the shit. This is indeed the shit.
  8. Hopefully it'll be better than the overly-complex and messy desert one
  9. First review up
  10. If the rumours are to be believed, I think they'll release the campaign first for £20/$25 and next year when the game is finished, they'll offer an 10 year anniversary MP upgrade for another £20/$25 on top. I can't see the most iconic MP game of all time having its main portion neglected. COD is getting trampled on from all angles right now where even mobile games are more popular so they've probably brought the release forward by 18 months in a bit to stay relevant and also get paid off twice in the long run. Even with upkeep costs, they money they can make on supply drops easily outweighs any costs and their spare dedicated server structure can host remastered matches to fill slots of people not playing games that run on the same infrastructure. I think most of MW:R's matches were played on disused Advanced Warfare listen servers. Should be very interesting to see what happens though and everyone is pretty much in the dark and dumbfounded!
  11. How is the final game so far? I've heard there is barely anything to do and ACG's review was pretty damning but that was pushed out fairly fast. This is a game I'm still interested in but longevity is worrying me a bit so far.
  12. I bought the standard edition but this is one package where I may very well get the season pass soon after launch as the game looks like it's packing some serious worthwhile content on the side from the main game.
  13. More new rumours today suggest that the game isn't being made by Raven, will cost $25 and is single player only!? https://charlieintel.com/2018/03/21/sources-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-remastered-has-no-mp-not-developed-by-raven/ This is too bizarre to be true unless they plan to release the single player now and then finish the MP for release next year. This is so ludicrous I honestly believe it will happen as not even the biggest bullshitters in the industry could make this level of shit up.

Looks decent for a F2P game with solid mechanics and a vintage COD feel. Might be worth a try sometime
  15. I see a load of 'MW2 Remastered releasing next month!' rumours are doing the rounds out of nowhere and at first I happily dismissed them as total BS but things like this don't circulate without some foundation and it seems the possibility of it happening is growing although this is still incredibly unrealistic. Either this is just pure nonsense where even the seasoned COD cakesockers have fallen for it or it could be a very sensible time to release the game out of nowhere. Why it could happen:- - WW2 isn't pretty dead right now plus Condrey and Schofield have left Sledgehammer. With only premade content and pre-planned events left and the population woefully small; there isn't much going for the franchise until BO4. - COD suffers greatly over the spring/summer after peaking at release and is usually in decline come spring. A surprise release could cause global carnage and bring people back. - Fornite is dominating mainstream gaming and the COD target audience where even the Activision sausage riders are playing and streaming that rather than COD. - Classic COD's like Black Ops 1 have been hugely popular in recent months, getting over 100,000 daily. If people are playing those and not the current COD... Why it probably wont happen:- - Supposedly the game releases in 5 weeks and we've heard nothing official from a marketing-dominated franchise and publisher. - MW2 10th year anniversary is next year along with the new IW's next game. It would be fitting to have it then unless Activision are in panic mode and IW's next game is lining up to be decent for a change. - The development timescale doesn't fit unless the intended release was Spring 2018 all along from when the game was first commissioned. There's a year and a half difference between now and the expected 2019 release. I personally can't see it happening and I think this rumour may have been pounced on people for easy clickbait because there are no consequences of pushing fake news like this on YouTube. I wouldn't mind a fresh COD game this time of the year though even if it is a remaster but after the terrible original MWR; I'd be worried that this absolute classic would be forever tarnished by Raven and Supply Drops.
  16. I'm glad that the woman wont be able to benefit financially from this tragedy as we live in a society especially with these e-celeb fame chasers where only money matters and to hell with ethics and common sense. People would sell their soul for YouTube money these days.
  17. Could just be that it's a quiet time of the week though - games have got into the top 10 before not even selling 1,000 units in the UK and looking at the other releases in this period, there isn't much competition. Even MGS Survive went in at number 6 with sales down 85% on MGS Rising. Still it's nice and encouraging to see people buying Burnout and hopefully the game will maintain a strong population even at such a high price.
  18. I can't be bothered re-installing the game but it's great to see how far it's come since launch and it gives me hope for the sequel. If they can get it right straight away then it'll likely be a continued success rather than people drifting in and out between major updates and the playerbase never really remaining consistent.
  19. Pretty funny stuff
  20. It's not about digital games though - it's the price of the indie games in general. Seems that publishers are using the Switch to peddle their old games and charging a massive premium for the privilege that fall slightly under the AAA threshold. Overcooked for instance launched at £13 on Steam and on PSN https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP4064-CUSA05399_00-OVERCOOKED000000 plus has dropped below a £5 in its time. To release at £30 on the Switch is beyond extortionate. It's not like games like these are being built from the ground up - they are quick-fire ports. I don't know if publishers are exploiting the current lack of titles and are hoping to tap in the pure Nintendo market of one-system players but these games should be priced in the £12-20 region so they are more attractively priced and affordable. It's the indie/family game range which will stem the time between major exclusive releases and if consumers feel they are being ripped off on games that can be bought at a bargain bin rate on other systems and stores; it could see a lot of problems for the console going forward. Nintendo need to bolster their catalogue but having publishers holding them to ransom isn't the best way to do it. This is the problem with Valve, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft these days - their quality control and Store ethics aren't as strong as they should be and bad games/pricing easily slips through the net. Money first standards second sadly.
  21. Liverpool v Man City in the Champions League
  22. This case was concluded with a fairly lenient sentence http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-43410816
  23. These are old games though that have just been released in threadbare form on the Switch at what is quite a ludicrous pricepoint especially the indie titles. I think it could price a lot of owners out of games on the system. Rocket League can be got on PS4 for £15 as a physical copy, Doom is £12, Minecraft Story is £15 and Payday 2 complete is around £20. The entry pricing is just too much and it's not about being comparable - it's more about getting the best possible deal for games without ultimately getting ripped off. The Payday 2 developers were giving the game away to everyone for free on Steam a few months ago so charging £40 for a watered-down Nintendo version is pretty outrageous really especially as the game is very old. I think they are tapping into the pure Nintendo market and hoping players who wouldn't game on any other system buy into the mainstream games but it's at a ridiculous price for a far lesser version. It's not even remasters; it's old build ports which makes it more crazy. Easy money for publishers and developers and it taps into a market that may have never played the games before but that is savage pricing really.
  24. Thing that is harming Switch is the prices of games I've noticed particularly the indie ones. Not only can these be got at on PC much cheaper; it's also pretty extortionate for non-AAA titles. This is only a handful I've picked out plus a couple of more bigger titles. I was very tempted getting a Switch late last year but dodged it after seeing it would cost £400 with the accessories I wanted but seems the games would also add substantially to the grand total. Payday 2 is £39.99 whereas on Steam you could get the collection in the sale for £8.74 Rocket League is £34.99 but on Steam it can be got as low as £7.49 Minecraft Story mode is £34.99 but in the Steam sale, it regularly drops to £5.74 Rayman Legends £29.99 but on Steam £2.99 Skyrim £41.99 but the enhanced complete edition on Steam is around a tenner at best Overcooked £29.99 but you can get it for under a fiver on PC from numerous places Doom £39.99 but this was £6.66 on Fanatical a few weeks ago Resident Evil Revelations £39.99 but £5.74 on PC usually Binding of Issac Rebirth £29.99 but barely £7.49 on Steam complete
