  1. Emile Heskey joins Chelsea on two year deal.
  2. $100/£90 a year/$15/£15 a month gets you access to EA's entire Origin catalogue which includes all new games and their deluxe editions including all DLC. This is actually a very good subscription service offering as you could pick up FIFA 19, Battlefield 5 deluxe, Madden 19, Anthem and every other EA game in existence on the platform all for £90. Battlefield 5 deluxe alone is £70 and with the standard FIFA being £50; that's £120 in total for both games standalone. It's a great saving plus you get to play the games early and have all DLC included. Now would be a pretty good time to opt in considering the amount of upcoming and pricey EA games and the savings to be had https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ea-launches-service-with-unlimited-access-to-its-p/1100-6460823/
  3. Beta trailer plus Blackout snippet at the end
  4. I bought it yesterday with some spare wallet funds on Steam and refunded it soon after. I do appreciate the work that developers have put into the game but it's still only a shadow of what it should have been two years ago and just shows how terrible and bare the original game was. I didn't find it fun even with the update features - it's just mining and grinding and dealing with some of the most poorly implemented menus imaginable. The game seems intriguing at first but it becomes repetitive fairly quickly and unless you have a very vivid role-play imagination; it's the same old stuff over and over with generic tasks added on top. Much has been added with Next but that was the expectation and the obligation - I also cannot help but feel this game wouldn't have been as heavily supported if no Xbox One version was commissioned. There is so many better, deeper and more immersive games out there like Subnautica and The Forest. I still can't work out how No Man's Sky managed to brainwash so many people in the first place and whilst this update does give people something more two years later; it doesn't really do anything truly unique as a videogame despite wowing in terms of asset-algorithmic variety and quantity. I do think a fair few people would enjoy it especially online with friends and in the sale, it's quite an attractive price but now we are entering the business time of the year when new games are coming out and existing popular games are thriving. I just dunno how long NMS can remain rejuvenated but it does deserve another chance especially after the scandalous start. The game is optimised like a piece of shit though so be warned.
  5. I've made an edit to my prediction - wonder if anyone can spot it😎
  6. Yep, and that means you'll be just as successful as Liverpool once again😎
  7. They have certainly received some very generous fees though - £142m for Coutinho, £27m for Benteke, £35m for Sterling and £15m on Jordan Ibe for instance. Just shows how crazy the economy is but Klopp has to prove he's spent wisely. The Karius transfer was the most intriguing one though - his fee was an initial £4.7m but he cost Liverpool about £130m in the Champions League Final😎
  8. Premier League 1. Man City 2. Liverpool 3. Man Utd 4. Wolves 18. Bournemouth 19. Cardiff 20. Huddersfield Championship 1. Stoke City 2. West Brom p/o Norwich 22. Bolton 23. QPR 24. Rotherham League 1 1. Sunderland 2. Charlton p/o Peterborough 21. Walsall 22. AFC Wimbledon 23. Wycombe Wanderers 24. Accrington Stanley League 2 1. MK Dons 2. Notts County 3. Bury 23. Macclesfield 24. Morecambe
  9. Liverpool have spent £176m so far and £411m since 2016 so they really have to win something this season. Klopp seems a great bloke and a very good character in the Prem but you can't help but feel he has to win something now.
  10. This is an interesting article https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-07-27-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-benchmarks-7001
  11. I don't like the new UI. May change the parameters so I can revert back to the old friend list and chat menu style and then await for a new skin to be created in the community. Don't like the new bar either although they've finally removed login name and replaced it with profile name instead which was a long time coming and will help protect streamers. The system was fine before so there was no need to fix something that wasn't broken and the UI hasn't exactly improved. People are understandably raging in the forums.
  12. I have no idea what a javelin is other than what Steve Backley used to throw in the Olympics but this looks a bit mediocre in terms of character variety and depth. I'm not expecting much from BioWare these days but gimme something to get excited about.
  13. Just seen that Grand Operations; BF5's flagship mode will not be available on release. So EA are charging people extra money to play the game early and it wont even be finished as it is🤑
  14. Chelsea sign 38 year old keeper Rob Green. May as well give them the title now😎 Fulham sign World Cup winner Andre Shurrle down the road in comparison...
  15. Anyone use these? Perfectly legal but morally questionable in the eyes of some. I've been using Project64 to play GoldenEye and Perfect Dark recently and seeing that I own both these games twice over, my conscience is clear😃 The only thing that really flirts with legality is the sites making available the ROM's (games) and even worse, if they are making any form of profit from it i.e site advertising. I'm looking at doing the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild with the Cemu emulator. The game looks astonishing on PC in 60fps, overhauled shader caches and texture improvements. Setting up the emulator is easy but executing the game takes some doing by the look of things though. I think I would want to compensate if I did play the game this way so I would likely buy a Wii U copy of the game even if it remains sealed. Just not willing to buy a console just to experience one game. Nintendo have been in the news about this recently as they continue to battle ROM sites - it's a losing battle really and whilst I don't condone piracy or people who profit from this; I wish Nintendo work with emulator creators rather than trying to plug something that will never be made illegal. They could easily licence their catalogue to an emulator and then charge full price and take 90% of the income leaving the site with just 10% and it still would be a good deal all round. Piracy I don't condone at all but I'm beginning to appreciate emulators more and the work that goes into them.
  16. Aberdeen 1-1 Burnley last night in the Eurovision Song Contest trophy. Nothing major but it's nice to see proper football slowly returning.
  17. EA won E3. Their centerpiece title; Command and Conquer Rivals for Mobile will revolutionise modern gaming and will be a trillion dollar franchise. So glad they spent over 20 minutes promoting that instead of major AAA titles like Battlefield 5.
  18. It's coded into the game to keep races competitive because the AI is brainless. I'd expect this in Mario Kart and not a serious racer but Ubisoft would rather do it the easy way rather than improve their AI and have genuine races that aren't influenced by fabricated factors.
  19. I couldn't get over the fact the game wont have PvP until Christmas - really don't like this games that ship now and patch later. Rubber-banding and brainless AI was the problem for me - kills the immersion completely. Apparently to exit the game you have to press Y or Triangle on controller B on the keyboard and then navigate a palaver of menus to quit. Another dreadful example of games as a service where they can't even implement an exit game properly but everything else regarding XP, in-game purchases and filler is all fine. I praise the games scale and ambition and it does look fantastic but in gameplay terms it's pretty generic and the voice acting is probably the worst ever seen. I'd say the original shaded it but The Crew 2 will likely plummet in price in the next couple of months so it may be worth it then just before MP kicks in.
  20. Dude wanted Duty instead of booty!?
  21. It's the Microshit Store! I have Forza Horizon 3 and its a great game and incredibly well optimised I may not get this by virtue of the store alone. Their file compression is non-existent so games are like 1/3 or 50% more than what they should be and their content servers are very slow to download from. Definitely not buying an Xbox just for that game either.
  22. I'm gonna try this tomorrow
