Czech Rep 1-2 Denmark Hard-fought win for Denmark against a Czech side that saw a lot of the ball but just didn't carve out enough opportunities. Didn't think much of the Danes and the overall pace of the game was rather slow but they can definitely take their chances. Very impressive run from the Czech's though and some names that will certainly catch club's attentions.

They look an absolute force all over the pitch but it will be interesting to see how they fare without Spinazzola. Italy have always been a hard team to break down but now they have an attacking philosophy on top thanks to Mancini so opponents will have a very difficult time breaking them down. Funnily enough, Wales and Austria came the closest😂 Spain must not fall behind at any cost in the semi else they will seriously struggle to find a way back. Italy have only conceded 2 in 14 games or summat (both consolations) so it's hard to judge how they would perform when a goal down but that's the only chance teams will have of getting a foothold against them if Italy are the ones that have to get back into the game rather than vice-versa. Belgium fall short again and despite another unkind side of the draw for them, it's another failed attempt will a very strong team. Their last shot will be the world cup and then wholesale defensive changes will have to be made and I'm not sure they even have that in the locker going forward.

Finished the game in 8 or so hours and it was a remarkable experience! The tension really ramped up after a couple and remained throughout. I didn't find it outright scary but you were always on your toes with the overall atmosphere and not knowing what you were walking into next. There were plenty of challenging combat encounters and I really enjoyed the gunplay and general mechanics. They really don't make shooters like this any more. If this was a modern game it would be x-ray vision, checkpoints every 30 seconds, enemies with vision bars, grenade indicators, minimap and weapon skins. This is definitely up there with the likes of Half Life 2. I now have TWO expansions to sift through - not shitty 30 minute DLC's like we see today, these are proper expansions old-school that you used to get on separate discs! I'm still in two minds about getting F.E.A.R 2 as I've heard it's nowhere near as good or unique.

Spain were fortunate and some rotten luck for Switzerland throughout the game but their penalties today were England-esque😎 That was never a red and I wouldn't have even give it as a foul. Spain's finishing was exceptionally weak and they are another team that's possibly there for the taking.

Funny how UEFA executives can fly from Azerbaijan to Italy, to Scotland, Hungary, Romain and Spain without any restrictions yet England's fans cannot make the game in Rome unless they used psychic abilities and pre-booked the trip 3 days prior to us beating Germany. One rule for them and another for the real fans. I don't get how you can be double-vaccinated and pass a test at both ends over a period of two days yet you're still made to isolate for 5. Hopefully expats can snap up as many as possible and we have some backing in Italy.

I'm so used of facing brainless enemies in the likes of COD and Far Cry that I've been caught off-guard so many times in this game already - the AI is on another level here and one mission I was facing a guy in cover and another one on the level below who didn't have a clear shot at me but managed to bounce a grenade off the wall which almost landed at my feet. I tried running to cover but was killed by another enemy who was slowly flanking without me even knowing on the stairs the other side. When I tried it again, it played out completely different. There are no grenade indicators either plastered all over the screen so you have to use your eyes and ears during these frantic battles. Call of Duty is literally duck behind cover, shoot, duck, reload, duck when grenade icon appears and if you go off-rails ahead of the game intends then you just fall to the floor dead without even being shot. Harder difficulties in those type of games doesn't mean better AI either - it means more damage dealt and you get 'shot' more. It's just mind-blowing to see what happens in each encounter and the sad thing is this game being 16 years old and we've become so used of shoddy AI, phantom bullets, vision cones/alert bars and generally dumb AI that's an insult to the word 'intelligence'.

I have a sneaking suspicion they bullshitted it so the likes of Microsoft would buy into them. I can't see where their outlandish value lies otherwise. Todd Howard is also a master liar so if anyone was to con a major organisation, it would be him😅

Rice and Phillips both had great games and really stepped it up for the occasion - they could've easily been dropped after the Scotland game but both looked solid and Phillips was especially lively. Southgate was right to keep the faith. Ukraine will be tough especially in Rome with very little England fans but it's a very winnable game and if we do that then it's back to Wembley for a another potentially winnable tie. It's a great opportunity.

Anyone played this gem before? It's an old FPS game from 2005 but absolutely way ahead of its time. It's primarily an action game but it does have some light horror moments set on a tense and atmospheric backdrop. The gunplay is amazing and the game also makes use of incredible lighting and particle effects. You can also slow down combat with a Max Payne-style bullet time feature to see each bullet hit and the environmental destruction that occurs. The AI is also very impressive and every gun battle feels and plays differently. It's feels almost like a Half Life 2 mod or something. Currently it can be got at for £1.60 on Fanatical which is an absolute steal! F.E.A.R - Info ISTHEREANYDEAL.COM Visually, it still holds up very well and it feels mechanically incredible! Well worth picking up as they don't make games like this anymore

I don't think I've ever been addicted to a game although I did play MW2 and Black Ops in rather long sessions a decade ago. I also had some huge time sinks - mainly with strategy games when I was younger too but nothing of any concern that impacted with school or social life. When I hear about other people's stories, the differences are huge and are the absolute definition of addiction. Most games are shit nowadays and certainly aren't worth wasting time on - I couldn't imagine playing DOTA or CSGO for 14 hours a day like some. Others can play the likes of Warzone for 8 hours and then have another session after a short break. I am so glad I've outgrew a lot of genres and haven't been born into the skin/lootbox generation. Games have had more addictive and money sapping mechanisms in play in the past 7-8 years but thankfully I have not fallen into a lot of traps those games have. I also don't have the time to be addicted to any game either!

We’ve done it! Very cagey game but what a performance! I was a bit worried about the lineup but the players adapted well and our midfield worked incredibly hard. Shaw was excellent and we repelled a lot to keep a clean sheet. Did get fortunate a couple of times but took our chances well. I was petrified about VAR ruling them out during the celebrations😂 This will give us huge confidence especially in Southgate and his decisions along with his game plans. Off to Rome we go!

Switzerland have done it 5-4 in pens!! What a game and what a day of football with 14 goals in 2 matches! Superb comeback from the Swiss when they looked dead, buried and completely deflated but the kept going and deserved to win. The missed penalty came from the worst player on the pitch; Mbappe😂 I hope England can reach this intensity and quality tomorrow because the standard is looking extremely high and anybody can beat anyone.

Switzerland have blown a miracle - could’ve gone 2-0 up against France but missed the penalty and Benzema goes straight down the other end and scores twice in 2 minutes. They’ll probably go on to win 3/4-1 at this rate. The Swiss look shellshocked

Croatia 3-5 Spain What a game! It all started with a comedy own goal and the a cracking comeback after Spain took a 3-1 lead. Croatia could've easily gone 4-3 up at the start of extra time but then two quick goals sealed it. Spain are beginning to look quite a force once again with 10 goals in two games although they are vulnerable at the back. Croatia conceded some daft goals too including the third where the left back was having a water break whilst play was going on allowing for an easy goal. Great goal from Morata too! Can't see the France game being quite so dramatic though..

Netherlands paid the ultimate price - missed an excellent 1v1 opportunity and 30 seconds later they were down to 10 men and never recovered. Blatant red card and very poor defending from De Ligt - he should've taken the slip and let the ball roll rather than fall over and then scoop the ball up to deny a clear goalscoring opportunity. Their performance after the red was very defeatist and the manger made no attempt to change the system. Czech are definite dark horses. Belgium game was a tight and cagey affair. I thought Portugal dominated possession and had a few chances but Belgium looked solid enough. Pitch was fucking awful though! Cannot wait to see them against Italy - they really haven't had much luck with their knockout draws in recent competitions!
