  1. That forum must've been full of Germans. Ghost font says,"remember the thread that named the Germans were the least funniest country in the world?"
  2. I can't imagine how she trolled motorbikes... x)What'd she do?
  3. I spent some time at the BroTeam forums when I was gone. It's...exactly what it looks like. xD Met some interesting people (like a person who roleplays as a promiscuous Renamon) and Broteam himself acknowledged my ponified version of him: All in all, it was fun, but nothing like here.
  4. GOD no. No director with a reputation and with half a brain would go near that movie. Even mentioning it to a production company is career suicide. For, to say it was controversial, would be an understatement. x)
  5. *nostalgic sigh* Not to mention that the Thing was an actual presence in the 80's version. A puppet, yes, but a physical presence nonetheless. Nowadays, people have to pretend that something is actually there. Also, movie makers use CGI for EVERYTHING nowadays. It's like they use CGI to get away with laziness. "We need an alien? F*ck the make-up, send some sketches over to the boys at SFX. Backdrop? Pfft, CGI!" Sad. That being said... It was pretty cool seeing some of the things implied in the 80's version of The Thing seen in the 2011. EDIT: "Hey, f*ck YOU, Plamer!"
  6. Ah, video game music. No matter if we're careening down a speedway in the Mushroom Kingdom, flanking some soldiers in space or saving the galaxy from a sentient race of squids, VGMs (or BGMs) are always by our side, breaking up the monotomy of roaring engines or explosions. Unless of course, you prefer muting the music volume. x) For the rest of y'all, what are some of your favorite VGM/BGMs? Here's some of mine: Koopa Beach from Super Mario Kart SNES: That funky baseline and cheery tropicalness of the main track always gets me. x) Redial from Bomberman Hero (N64): I don't know, it's spacy "Muzac" beat always makes me hum along. Ah, my childhood. :') Yoshi Rap from Yoshi's Story (N64) In a game where every BGM in it is the wildly different and unique variant of a single sample of music, it's hard to pick just one favorite BGM of a game so prevalent in my childhood... But I choose this one.
  7. Sledgehammer Games officially taking the reins for this year's CoD: http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/call-duty-2014-confirmed-new-lead-developer-new-development-cycle/ --- On a different note, a WW2 CoD would be awesome. Then sights, the sounds, the guns...Ooh! I'd still rather go play WaW than Ghosts really, but with the mass hax0ring going on over there atm... It's out of the question. Welcome to Machinima.
  8. It's kinda dark in here, man. Should we, I dunno...turn on some lights or something?
  9. Another movie that sucks ass is "Quarantine", the remake of the horror masterpiece (IMO) "REC". God, it supposed to be a shot-for-shot remake but everything from the actors to the artificial lighting sucks the life out of this movie. Love that movie, the remake was sh*t-tacos. If you played the terrible, terrible game that certainly was not canon (according to John Carpenter himself), you find CHilds fozen to death and a set of footprints walking out towards the storm. Later, McReady comes in on a helicopter and flies you around for the final boss fight. As I said...terrible and not canon. xD And also, how the hell did the special effects look worse in 2011 compared to ones they did in the freakin' 80's? :s
  10. This guy, from the Hunger Games movies apparently:
  11. There's protocols, JACK. To this day, when I hear the number 24, I grumble "Jack Bauer". x)
  12. Yeh, he said it was because people thought "fat is funny". 'Tis the archetype, I suppose.
  13. 100-percent agree with you there on remakes., Cal. If I wanted my nostalgia gland vigorously masturbated, then I'd just watch the original, not this prettied-up cash-cow. Total Recall, RoboCop, and now Point Break! It seems like Hollywood just got a list of my fave movies and decided to take a massive buffalo diarrhea sh*t all over it. The remakes are for the sole intent of milking money out of a franchise and covered up with pretty effects and more action. Like RoboCop, for example: There was ONE gunfight (and holy sh*t, what a gun fight it was). In this blasphemous new one, there are several PLUS ninja robots. They also have this stupid social commentary about the drones in Afghanistan and made it so Alex Murphy has his humanity right out of the gate instead of gaining it through scattered memories (AND THAT STUPID HUMAN HAND! AGH! The original RoboCop was a robot with a thin layer of face stretched over the top, why is his hand human?! ). They're totally doing this movie a disservice, I hope it tanks.
  14. I agree, really. But times have changed, 'spose. It's just that some people are just not fighters, some are just sensitive. This would've been a happier story if the poor guy just had enough of that guy's sh*t and plain kicked that guy's ass. Unfortunately, it wasn't...so it's not. :/
  15. I was never a "love and tolerate" type of brony. String the bastards by the eyelids, I say. It's not a "Ha, that showed them" thing, by far. Being bullied eats away at you to the point of feeling empty. I can't describe the feeling really, it's just horrible. And if it keeps on going and going and there's nothing you can do about it... Things can get pretty desperate. I, myself, was bullied when I was little, and I developed a hard shell as a front to prevent any further attacks. It certainly worked, as I traded a few suspensions for a (school) lifetime of untouchability. I got really good at fighting, too. It's sad it had to come to that, but such is life. The interwebs is truly the only place I can be myself. Ironic, isn't it? I don't even want to know what you posted.
  16. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/national_world&id=9420438 February 5, 2014 (RALEIGH, N.C.) -- An 11-year-old boy is in the hospital after trying to commit suicide -- the victim of bullying at school. Michael Morones remains in WakeMed hospital with a tube down his throat and potentially life-long brain damage. Michael tried to kill himself, apparently because he could no longer take the torrent of bullying he was facing at school. "He's the kid that never walks. He dances everywhere," said Michael's mother, Tiffany Morones-Suttle. "He's so full of energy. He's always on the move." Michael's parents say he was that way even in the face of daunting bullying at school. Michael likes the cartoon "My Little Pony." It turns out, the cartoon has a growing, and perhaps unlikely fan club -- men and boys known as "Bronies." Because of that, Michael was teased so much that ten days ago he decided to do something about it. "He hung himself off the side of the bunk bed, off the railing," said Morones-Suttle. His parents got him to the hospital, but the damage had already been done. Oxygen to his brain had been cut off. "We won't know for months how much is going to heal," said Morones-Suttle. "It could even be years before we find out what potential for healing he has." You might think Michael's parents would be furious with the kids who were bullying their son, but that wouldn't be in keeping with the show at the center of what they were teasing him about. "It teaches the most basic moral values to a lot of complex thoughts," said Michael's stepfather, Shannon Suttle. Fans of the show, like Michael, try to live the motto that friendship is magic. "I've heard a lot of people say you need to go after bullies and hold them responsible," said Morones-Suttle. "But you know, I don't think that's what Mike would want. I would rather teach people how to do right than turn around than punish, because punishment doesn't always work." Michael has gotten support from as far away as Ireland, and a lot of money, which is used for Michael's care, but also to start a nonprofit to help with bullying. As Michael's father tells it, it's more than their goal. It's quickly become their mission. Incredibly, the bullying hasn't stopped. Michael's parents say just Sunday night on a generally supportive website, a few people left hurtful comments. They say that just strengthens their resolve to fight bullying, and makes that mission that much more clear. Bullying prevention expert Nancy Mullin said Michael's age is right in the prime age for suicides. "Eleven to 15-year-old boys are very much at risk for thinking about suicide when they're perceived as being gay," said Mullin. She credits Michael's parents with supporting his interest rather than reinforcing shameful feelings. "The missing piece here is what the school is doing about this," said Mullin. Mullin says while North Carolina is one of 49 states with bullying prevention laws, not enough is being done to implement programs. Michael was scheduled to have a tracheotomy Tuesday. This is god-damned pathetic. It makes me furious that people are so freakin' cruel. I have no words. Just...hang in there, man. Every brony is a homie.
  17. I gonna need a translator. xD
