    It gets real crazy in D&D because you have to roll multiple dice at the same time then add weapon bonuses, proficiency bonuses and then it changes completely if you roll a 20 or have advantage or a special attack. For example, my rogue often attacks from stealth so has advantage meaning I get to make a special attack. So If my weapon hits I roll 1d8 then add 3 weapon damage, then add 2d6 for my sneak attack bonus. Mental. and if I rolled a 20 on my sword swipe that's all doubled.

    I've just bought the entire works of HP Lovecraft to help with my story writing for my Table Top RPG games, got it on audible because books are for peasants.....51 hours.....yikes!

    One of my favourite things about table top RPG's is the different types of dice you can get. I have two sets of Cthulhu inspired dice and they are gorgeous. Go on, show us your dice 🙂

    It's a funny story actually because I didn't ever plan to buy a Merc. I had a Ford Ranger for work before this car but it was no longer needed so I wanted to part ex that in for something the wife and I could both drive. I tried to buy a Mini estate but those fuckers would not sell me a car. Our budget was £25k and the clubman fit in that budget beautifully but they wouldn't part ex my van. They kept telling me to go down to we buy any van and part ex it there......I was like 'um that's a you job, not a me job'. Anyway, one of my clients owns a Merc franchise and I was telling him about the interaction at Mini and he was losing his mind so he said, I will sell you a car. I told him my budget was £25k max and that wasn't going to get me a lot of car but he insisted. The next day, knock at the door and there's a C class AMG estate at the door - please use this car for a week and see if you like it. So we did and we loved it. Drove it back to the franchise and said, yeh we love it but the price was £47k!, he said what did you like about it? I said the size and the colour but I didn't need an AMG.....long story short we get the C200 Sport Estate brand new for £27k, he gave us a £12k discount using the friends and family scheme etc etc.....absolutely mental. It's defo the best car i've ever owned and it's super safe and the wife can drive it. Winner.

    I've DM'd a couple of times before but a long time ago! I appreciate all of the compliments from everyone, it's nice to know my research and reading has paid off. I can't take anywhere near all of the credit for the success of the game as there are loads of different youtube videos and websites explaining how to smoothly run a game, although I will take props for the story as I developed that myself! Once this campaign is over it would be great to get some more people involved, it doesn't have to be Cthulhu, there are hundreds of different types of games from Zombie survival to an ice age roll playing game!

    Ah you are too kind @phil bottle, it was very enjoyable for me to plan and run, although it certainly did give me a bit more respect for my weekly dungeon masters as you have to keep thinking on your feet! @tronic44 casually leaving a crime scene with a giant skull on his shoulder whistling yankee doodle......

    Well, what a session! Three brave investigators were sent into post WW2 Germany to find out why Jews were apparently still being slaughtered despite the fall of Hitlers Nazi’s. What they found instead is a deep dark web of occult activity, giants and the search of the promise land via a different plane of existence. Wills were tested, sanity lost and guns fired (badly).
