As someone who hasn't played FF before now, which are the best? I've recently taken up XIV Online and today I started the only SP game I own of FF on my Vita, which is V. Which other games are worth playing? I hear VII is one of the best and with what you say, I' think I'll get the original when I start playing this.

That handheld seems a little too small. The better quality screen would be a nice addition but not enough to buy one. I'm in the same boat as @GazzaGarratt and I'll stick to the original, for however long it lasts. Colours look washed out but it's just the camera having issues taking a good picture in the lighting.

I'll try raising the feet but that doesn't sound like it makes it harder, wouldn't that require less force to fully push up? I also did try the diamond but either I can't seem to get my hand placement right, or my wrists are really weak. What can I do to make them stronger? I haven't managed to do any of these pushups since the weekend. After carrying my daughter around on my shoulders for around 2.5 miles on Sunday, I woke up with huge pain in my neck / shoulder on Monday, so had to take it easy as any movement intensified it. First time I've done this for some time but she's not getting any easier to carry 😂. It's eased of now, so one more sleep should completely sort it. I'm hoping to resume these tomorrow and see where it's left me.

I'm very new to the game, this is also the first BR game I've played. First outing was with some FGers after the WWII game night. That didn't go so well, I was pretty badly prepared entering this battlefield, and I didn't understand anything that was going on. Ive recently been playing this with another mate and he's been walking me through this entire game, from explaining objectives, icons, way things work, setting up a loadout to even changing some settings / controls in the menus. Now I kind of know what I'm doing but I'm still not that great. Still fighting for my first win. So as a first loadout, after some unlocks I'm now sitting on a loadout of M4A1 with Tactical Surpressor and M19 as a secondary weapon. Perks I'm running with Kill Chain, Ghost and Tune Up. I'm thinking of changing out Kill Chain for Quick Fix as I don't tend to use killstreaks. Then topped off with a Frag and Stun. I don't like jumping early or near the centre. I'll usually head for an area just outside the safe zone and make my way inwards, looting and doing contracts if I have anything near by. First chance of getting the loadout, I take it. Unless playing alongside my mate, I'm not having much luck in Trios or Quads. Solos is hard but it's a nice feeling knowing you got your own back and don't have to worry about performance alongside anyone else.

Ordered on Argos today and being delivered tonight, I hope more nights are organised for this game 👍

My running has dried up a little, I still go out for at least 1 run a week but I need to push myself out of the door when I wake up around 7 or 8, otherwise I may not go out at all. I'm still doing my daily push-ups, some days I don't do them in the morning due to forgetting or being lazy but I pretty much consistently get them done on a night. I've worked my way up to doing 40 a day so far, 20 in the morning and 20 at night. I'm increasing this by 5 whenever I feel ready. It's a big difference from when I started and would struggle to do 10 in one sitting.

Does this require PS Plus to play online?

It looks alright, just it messes up I guess depending on what resolution or device you are using to view the forums. This is my view from 1440p monitor. It can be made to fit but I need to have the window at a specific size.

It does look a tad over crowded to me and also I feel Mario and Toad just don't really fit in. They are the first characters I notice every time as they just seem to pop out more, maybe due to the bright colours.

Welcome to my Retro Adventures! I do more retro gaming of late than anything else and over the past week, I've recently got in to playing MAME (Arcade machines for those who are unaware). As I don't have the room to accommodate loads of different systems or arcade machines, emulation is the only way I can keep retro alive. I do have an arcade/fight stick which gives playing these games a really nice touch. Due to the nature of arcades, I can't play everything as some games requires special equipment to play, but I will try play those that can be played on an 8 way stick and buttons. My aim with this thread is to just post games I've recently played, maybe with some screenshots (hidden in spoiler tags to save room) and I'm going to create a spreadsheet to track my High Scores in the games. Maybe when you see the games I'm playing, you might recommend me a game you think I might like, or even remember one of the games I've played. I'm not purely concentrating on arcade machines as their is older systems and even handhelds that still deserve to be played. So I'm going to kick this off with a game I tried this morning: Bucky O'Hare This is a game which I find looks very decent for an arcade game, it supports 4 players and upon death, even if you continue, your score is wiped. Some of the bosses can be a little tricky but if you die a lot, you get a lot of bombs to use 😂. You get a good amount of enemies on the screen and the game features different types of levels. You will be running n gunning through a handful of enemies, on an elevator scene which reminded me of the ones in Streets of Rage and riding and shooting from a vehicle. I'm now going to move on to a classic. One which everyone will have played at one point: Frogger Simple gameplay, just get the frog across the hazards and fill up the empty spaces at the top of the screen. As you progress you will face faster and more traffic, everything seems to start flowing more faster like the logs and turtles you jump on. There's alligators swimming and these pesky creatures will try block your goal area and on the logs can sometimes contain Spiders. It's a classic game, which has been released on many different systems and it's an easy to pick up and play game, requiring only the movement of the stick.

How are you so good? I struggle even on Normal 😄. I hear it's all about crowd control but I just can't seem to get everyone in a position to multi-combo them.

Some new additions added like HITMAN, The Walking Dead and X-COM 2. I found HITMAN sitting in my email inbox and I’m not 100% sure if I ever gave it away or just forgot about it, so it may or may not be used. @GazzaGarratt I'm still sitting on them Sonic games (not listed) for you to take whenever 👍. If you're still thinking about building a steam library for your son, now is a great time to do it, providing you got them of the Fortnite 😂.

@GazzaGarratt I get that but it's Arcade for a reason, it should be played like the old Arcades and each old game would save you on a leaderboard based on how well you did. I feel it was massively overlooked and I'm disappointed. Also, out of the old games, SoR2 was my favourite and that game allowed 2 continues before game over, now it's simply no continues. Makes it harder and I can overlook that but I would like to see my previous score and try beat it. So while the way we have our progress saved and that helps us finish the game, there is a seperate leaderboard for each stage. Arcade should be played like the previous versions and that includes a leaderboard based on how well you did, not completing the game. I rant and might be shit, but I love this game, find it amazing to play and will keep chipping away at it.

Hopefully better than PC! At the moment online is a mess, runs poorly but it's an issue they are aware off and are trying to fix. Also online is only 2 players, whereas you can have up to 4 local co-op. As much as I love this game, I'm highly disappointed to see the Arcade mode is lacking. In the previous games, it was all about Arcade mode, scoring on the leaderboard and putting your name up there. In this Arcade mode, you won't get on the leaderboard unless you finish the entire game, which will be very difficult for many people. I really hope this will be changed in the future as it's a feature I really wanted to use, see and try beat my previous best attempt. I'm still very much enjoying this game and slowly fighting my way through the story on Normal with Blaze. I'm up to Stage 9, so I've managed to progress a good bit.

12 stages in total, I think 4 hidden retro boss fights, unlockable retro characters and it saves your progress by stage, so if you fail a stage, you can continue from the stage you failed but you have to replay the stage again, which are all pretty short anyway. If you die, you do have the opportunity to choose a different character or add some assists which will give you extra lives but will impact your score. If Normal is difficult (it is for me), I'd recommend playing through this game on Easy as once you complete the story, you unlock all other game modes and one of them is the retro arcade style with no saves. Overall I'm loving this game but it can be pretty hard going.

I picked this up on Steam and it's a very good game. Also went back and emulated some SoR2 and only made it to stage 5. If anyone doesn't own this and wants to try it, I can remote play together this game with up to 3 other people.

I used to do this on the PS3. Something that sort of disappeared for me with the PS4 and my return to Steam. The last game I did plat was Spider-Man, this was a very good game to plat. I probably won't be aiming for plats anymore unless the game really takes hold of me. My hardest Plat to date would be Killzone 2 on PS3, that campaign was a nightmare.
